  1. Customer Service is Terrible.

    This review is difficult for us to write because we actually used their services twice and both times they performed well. The reason for the 1 star rating is that after our 2nd move we noticed that our digital camera was missing. We knew exactly where it was and which box it should have been placed into, but it was nowhere to be found. Now, this isn't a huge financial loss, it is more of an emotional and personal issue as the camera had many photos of our children and grandchildren which we are going to miss.
    We contacted Sal right away to notify him of the missing camera. He seemed, at first, willing to follow up on the issue. Apparently, he had hired several local workers not affiliated with Red Carpet to assist with our move and he said he was going to follow up and try to find out what may have happened. Well, several weeks, phone calls, emails, texts later, Sal refuses to communicate with us.
    This is really disappointing, given that we used his company twice and referred him to others as well. After reading some other reviews, I see this is a common problem with Red Carpet and Sal!
    I will never refer anyone to someone who cannot deal honestly with a customer who has spent thousands of dollars using their services. Most of all, I am sorry that Sal is too cowardly to communicate with us and try and settle what should have been a relatively minor issue.
    BUYER BEWARE OF RED CARPET MOVING AND STORAGE AND PARTICULARLY SAL!

  2. Red Carpet Movers.

    Had a stress-free experience with Red Carpet Movers. They kept in contact with me prior to the moving date, so I didn't have to worry about any delays or last minute surprises. The two men they sent were amazing: fast, efficient, and well-skilled in what they do. I liked the fact that when I asked at the last minute if I could add on 2 bikes + a file cabinet they replied;" of course, our truck is huge".
    I don't move very often, but this company met and exceeded my expectations.

  3. Excellent experience from start to finish!

    Having never used a moving company before and hearing from friends about their bad experiences we were nervous indeed to entrust our belongings to just anyone. When Sal came to our home to discuss the process we felt much more at ease. Once we were on board he helped us prepare along the way. Sal and Jay were always there for us as we prepared for moving day. The day of the move went smoothly and the guys (TJ's crew) were compassionate and personable (this was a very emotional day for us) as well as took special care to protect our things. Their cost included moving items to Pleasanton apartment, storage of furniture and household items, and then our move to Truckee in November. We truly recommend Red Carpet Moving and Storage!

  6. Very Smooth & Easy Recent Move.

    From the beginning of planning the move, working through the details with Sal, to the actual moving day with Chris and his team, Red Carpet made the stresses of moving a rather enjoyable and cost effective experience. On moving day, Chris and his team made a move from Walnut Creek to Santa Cruz (6.5 hours total - travel and labor) very smooth and easy! They were very prompt, efficient, thorough and professional the whole way through. I would recommend their services to anyone.. couldn't have done it without their expertise and skill to ensure everything was moved out and moved in safely, fully protected and well placed.

    So my move was not easy although it was just right down the street contacted red carpet movers and ended up getting a great deal and three guys who knew what they were doing I would definitely recommend their service they are good and they have good prices!!

  8. Great Move..will definitely use again if we move again!

    Arrived right on time and after reviewing what needed to be packed got right to it. Driver Don, packers Juan and Carlos were great. Got done in 5 hrs. Arrived next day right on time at 7 and got done in 2 1/2 hrs. Drive Don and unpacker Nu-Nu were great! All the guys were friendly, never complained and were a joy to work with. My husband has out them on the movers list for his company and I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone!

  9. Fast, efficient and friendly.

    Arrived right on time and ready to get down to it. They expertly wrapped a ton of furniture and completely moved us in the minimum time so we weren’t charged. Friendly guys who never complained and were a joy to work with. I will be using these guys whenever possible and would definitely recommend them to anyone!

  10. Couldn't do it without these guys.

    This is the 2nd time that we have worked with this company. Last time they wrapped up all our furniture so well that after 2 years in storage, our furniture was in pristine condition. They literally wrapped every piece of furniture in paper and then saran wrapped it all.

    We needed them to load up all our furniture from our storage unit, swing by the place we were moving out of to pick up a bunch of boxes/ totes and then drop everything off at our new place.

    The new place has 3 floors, and these guys did everything without complaining. We have a heavy safe--and the movers literally picked it up like it was nothing and took it up to the 3rd floor.

    Their work is efficient and fast. They have great customer service--working with you to move as quickly as possible, and everything arrived in great condition.

    Now, when you work with them, they take $600 deposit. This gives you 3 workers, and a 3 hour schedule including the gas/ drive time for them the whole trip. Any additional hour is $150 charged in 15 min increments.

    These guys don't complain, take amazing direction, and were a joy to work with. We are definitely grateful to work with them! We will be calling these guys for the Red Carpet treatment again the next time we have to move!

    The movers were there on time. Worked very efficiently and moved us must quicker than I expected. They were great.

    This was a great experience the guys were great, great price. Hassle free moving, their wardrobe boxes made it all easier to move the closet items less packing.

  13. Moving Made Easy.

    Wow, that was fast!

    Not only did the duo for our move arrive a few minutes early, they loaded and unloaded our items quickly, They were pretty much done within the quoted time frame and were super friendly and professional. I love that they laid down their "red carpet" to protect the floor from potential scratches and inevitable debris. They were quite strong, took direction well, and even gave me some interior design advice when I wasn't sure where to put furniture.

    We really enjoyed working with them and will definitely recommend this business to others, and call again the next time we move. Thank you!

    On time, repaired table that broke while being packed, patient while signing papers for new apartment! Will totally use services again for next move!

  15. Great Experience.

    I really have to give these guys a lot of credit. Of course we moved on the one day it rained it in the Bay Area and they remained diligent to keep our stuff dry and had a great attitude the who time. We have some very large, delicate and expensive items and they treated everything with the respect it deserved. Will use again!
