Worst movers.
Do not use this company. They took longer than quoted and also damaged several items in the move. One of the movers was rude and made sarcastic comments about not being offered something to drink. I was told to take photos of the damage and submit a claim, which I did. Every time I call to check on the claim, I am given the runaround and told to call back or leave a message. They won't follow through with the claim! Worst moving experience ever and it was not cheap!
Movers were great! Customer service was not.
My overall complaint is not with the movers. The two gentlemen that moved my belongings were exceptional in every way. The problem I had was with the rude dispatcher, Michael and with the owner of the company not setting proper expectations. I advised the co-owner that I was moving from a 2300 sq. Ft Condo. The first issue was the little truck that was sent that did not accommodate all of my furniture. Two trips had to be made to my new home which is 30 minutes away. This resulted in a job that should of been 8 hours at the most taking 11-12 hours. If the company was honest upfront and advised that it would possibly result in two trips then I would've had the option of choosing another company. When I called to complain the dispatcher Michael was very rude and hung up on ke not once but twice. He even went as far as threatening us if we didn't pay which was never said at any point in the conversation. I do not recommend this company for any services.
Local move.
I'm an older disable lady I explain the the two men that I was on a strict buget and it couldn't go over 2 hrs. These two men hassled they worked fast and worked great together and covered my wooden things and would tell me to stop that's why they were there. I must say this company went above and beyond for me. I can't even think about another move with out this company. I just wish I could say how much I appreate them and how they treated and worked for me. Please if you would like to contact this company and want to no how they did CALL ME. I even gave them a cold drink and they took sip and finished it while driving to the drop off point. THIS COMPANY TREATED THIS OLD ADY WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT .. Thank you so much River City Movers.. I will tell ALL. My friends ..this was a local move and they toothose the exact time I asked them too. I or any of my friends never had to touch a single heavy thing in this move..they made this an easy move and was worth to me so much more than they charged.
Great Job Guys.
These guys were on time, courteous, and were careful with our belongings. They did a local move for us and moved lots of large furniture, from a large two story home to another two story home. Some pieces they even moved twice, because we didn't know where we wanted it. They wrapped and moved everything without any issues. .
Poor Customer Service.
River City Movers provided terrible customer service in a recent move. Several items were dropped, damaged, and broken in a recent move. Rather than addressing the issues at the time of the move, the movers tried to hide the damage and didn't say anything about it. When I called the Company to discuss the issues, the manager was abrupt and rude. Unacceptable customer service. I would NOT use this company ever again!
Late - Tired - Small Truck.
If you are moving more than a 1-2 BR house or APT - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY..they are not equipped (physically or facility) to handle a large move. They showed up late (4-5 hours) with basically 2 extremely tired movers (from a previous move), and one lazy foreman (who did nothing but sit on his butt) and with a truck only large enough to move a college student..what a terrible moving experience..I had to enlist eveyone I knew with a truck and a trailor to finish the move ourselves. TRUST ME- DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!
Do not use.
Showed up early without any material. The move took 2 additional hours than estimated. The loaders packed the truck sooooo poorly that we had to buy more space on the truck and on arrival everything shifted, damaged beds, chairs. Poor packing. The truck driver (separate from River City Moving) said he never saw such a poor packing job. I would def not recommend this company. They also tracked mud all over the house and we had to have the carpets cleaned. Due to poor packing, additional space on truck and carpets the move cost an extra 1k.
Do not use these people.
