  1. Lost my things and didn’t care.

    Terrible customer service. If you care about your personal belongings DO NOT use this company. Moved with them from

    Michigan to NJ and one box never showed up. They took 3 months to “trace” it but could not locate it and then denied the claim. They NEVER answered a single phone call and took no ownership for the loss or even offered an apology. I have moved over a dozen times and this was the only time I had a company be so careless and not make their mistakes right. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE company.

  2. Miserable experience.

    Horrible experience. Be careful with this company. Rose Storage has dishonest crews that lied about delivering. Take videos of loading and unloading, and recored your phone calls with them if you have to select this company. They will damage your items and refuse to take responsibility.
    This company moved my household items from Michigan to Washington They damaged over $1,000 in furniture. The damage were all documented on the checklist. However they denied to reimburse me the total amount of damage. l contacted their corporate office. No response.

    Miserable experience and absolutely poor customer service. Please read this review before selecting Rose Moving and Storage as the company servicing your move.

    Rose Moving and Storage executed our move on May 31, 2016. The experience started off poorly as soon as the crew arrived at our house. The crew claimed that they did not have all of the items that we selected on their move sheet. They showed displeasure with the fact that we had an elliptical machine and a treadmill that had to be moved from our basement. The truck that they had was not big enough to fit all of our furniture, so the crammed items in the truck which ultimately damaged a bunch of items. The company completely underestimated the time it was going to take to move us from our old house to our new house which was only 6 miles away. Because the underestimated the time they were going to charge us $250 an hour over the allotted time of 6 hours. The crew was about 3 hours over the allotted time and when we complained the company management told us they would unload our furniture on the driveway and leave it for us to move into our house if we didn't pay the difference. We negotiated a $400 upcharge after we contacted a company VP and explained what was going on with the move.

    On top of the poor customer experience with the move, many items of furniture were damaged in the process. I physically witnessed my desk being dropped on the concrete sidewalk right in front of my house. My wife and I didn't think twice about it because we paid for additional coverage on furniture. That was a mistake. We filed claim with Rose Moving and Storage and they sent out insurance adjustors twice to our house to review the damage. In fact, the second time the adjustors asked us why they were back at our house. According the adjustors, they filed a report that recommended replacement and repairs on almost all the items on our claim. The employees handling our claim were extremely rude to my wife when we conducted follow-up calls on the process. The claims office lost some of our paperwork so we had to resubmit some paperwork. We provided extra pictures of the damage because the employees that we were working with said that her copies were not clear enough to see any damage. As of Friday July 29, 2016 we were emailed a letter denying our claim. The reason was due to the fact that we did not say anything at the time of our move about the damage even though we were told we had up to 90 days to make a claim. We believe the driver gave a completely different account of what happened and obviously the drivers word is more important to the customers.

    That was our experience, so please think twice about using this company. A move is already stressful enough don’t make it worse by selecting a company that does not care about the customer experience.

  4. Don't trust the quote!

    We have conducted two parallel moves with Rose after closing our home in Michigan. One of them was from Michigan to Zurich, Switzerland. Although we have no complaints about the execution of the move in Michigan - good people packing all goods and storing it properly into the container - the arrival was a mess. Not only that it took weeks to get the container out of customs. But our moving goods were held "hostage" by the contractor of Rose in Switzerland with the argument of additional fees and storage cost never properly quoted to us. But we were forced to pay an additional CHF 1,400 to get our property from the moving company. Negotiation was impossible. Either we would pay or they would not deliver at the agreed upon date while these fees and cost would further increase. Also claims back to Rose ended up nowhere as it ended up in a blame game between Rose and the Swiss contractor. At the end our move was US$ 1,600 more expensive compared to quote and plan.
    P.S. just for the record: This has been our 5th international move in the past 15 years across the Atlantic and Pacific. We have never experienced anything similar.
    Conclusion: At the end this was a total rip-off to gain money through the back door. Be aware. The quote can not be trusted!

    In July, 2014 I moved from Michigan to California.  Rose Moving was recommended to me by Coldwell Banker real estate in Michigan as the best mover in the area.  I was extremely pleased with the outstanding service I received. Everyone from Rose Moving that I dealt with, including Jim Stafford, Beverly Thomason and Brian Mooney, the driver, was exceptionally professional.  I was amazed that during the busiest moving season of the year everyone was so helpful courteous, and professional. 
     
    After a career in the military, and a second career in banking, this company reminds me of the outstanding service provided by USAA Insurance Company.  USAA continuously receives recognition for the  highest level of service for military personnel and  their families. That is why I have been with them for over 40 years. 
     
     
     
    Brian Mooney and the teams of crew members he hired to load, ship, and unload my household goods was the very best I have ever encountered.  He was on time, focused on the highest quality service and protecting the goods I was shipping.  For those of you reading this who have never experienced a special forces military operation, hire Brain Mooney and see what it is like for yourself.
     
     
     
    This is only the second time in my life that I have ever sent such a letter of recommendation. Rose Moving certainly deserves it because they exceeded my expectations.

  6. Perfect move.

    My experience with Rose moving/Allied was easily the best move I have had out of 5 moves.  My salesman, Jim S.  was professional and very knowlagable about every aspect of my move.  The crew that moved my belongings were also great.  They wrapped all my furniture, protected my floors and walls at both homes.  Not a scratch on anything.  The office at Rose was great anytime I need anything.  If I move again it will be with Rose/Allied. And to top it off, my price reduced about 200.00.
