  1. Caution.

I moved from the Northern VA area to Kansas City, Kansas for a job. I went through Liberty Bell Moving Group based out of Florida. I went through an itemized list of my stuff. They advised me that they can do the move for $2,000, which they guaranteed that the price will not increase and that is the max I will pay and do monthly storage fee of $85 a month. When the movers showed up they itemized my goods and took my stuff.

A few months later, I get a call from Seal Van Lines and they advised me that the monthly storage fee was to be $150 a month. I tried to figure this matter out with Liberty Bell, but they would not cooperate or assist with this matter. When I had my stuff delivered, Seal Van Lines stated they needed an additional $1,300. I just agreed and paid the difference just to be done with it or they were not going to deliver my goods. When my stuff was unpacked, several furniture pieces were severely damaged, the movers knocked a hole in my wall, and the lost a sofa chair of mine. I contacted the moving company that very day and sent them pictures. They acknowledged getting the pictures and acknowledged of losing my chair and they were going to try to relocate it. That was one month ago.

I have been trying to get a hold of them now to see the status of everything, but no one will return my phone calls or my emails.

  2. Moving Experience.

Seal Van Lines did a phenomenal job with our move from Connecticut down to Florida. The foreman Michael on the job was fantastic and did an amazing job while packaging and labeling all our items in detail. Our shipment arrived perfectly on time and possessions were exactly how we left them when the were picked up from our previous home in CT. I would definitely encourage anyone to use this company as their mover for any local or long distance move because of the quality of service and the affordable pricing.

  3. My Moms Move.

These guys did a great job.I asked for a full pack on my mother's move coming down to Port Richie. She said they were polite and moved swiftly through out the morning. Her items arrived in 4 days and my husband and I were shocked as we did the same move lost year with Another company asnd delivery took ehst seemed like a life time. How ever Seal was speedy and pricing was fair. Thank you Seal for helping us w with my mom's move!

  4. Please please please run from this company.

"The worse I have been totally taken for a ride. Aaron you can read my response above. It has costed me $2500 . And over 20 items have been broken I have pictures of everything I have contacted this company endlessly. Nobody contact me back. Is anyone else doing anything about it? And anybody direct me where I should be going? I have to file a Civil suit. It is probably going to cost me a lot of money. If we all band together maybe we can sue the company and shut them down and get our money back. I am willing to do what it takes. I feel sorry for anybody that goes through them to do a long-distance moves and has to go through I have gone through. I have heart problems and I have never been under so much stress about this my mom mov civil suit. And is probably going to cost me a lot of money. 5. Please Save Yourself a Headache.

The worst moving company ever. They gave me an estimate through email. When driver arrived they wanted to charge me 1,100 dollars more for half of the stuff in the inventory list. They finally agreed to take majority of the stuff on the list but when I seen all the stuff they left behind I automatically canceled all payments now they have half of my stuff that they do not want to bring back. They told me that if I want my stuff I will have to go pick it up myself. So guess what I am going to pick my stuff up but I also contact the BBB and putting a claim through the civil court. Please people help me get this business out of business.

  6. Do Not Use This Company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THIS IS A SCAM. This has been one of the worst experiences I have EVER had in my life. They will be so nice in the beginning and promise you everything, then as soon as you sign that contract, it's over. It took 17 days for them to deliver our items, when they told us it would take 3-5 days. On top of that they will not call you back and you cannot get in touch with anyone. We had no idea where our stuff was for 2 weeks, and no one would give us any answers. We thought our items had been stolen. Sam Pierce is the lowest life form, he will sweet talk you and then never speak to you again. I called, texted and emailed him over 50 times and he never answered. Once they finally delivered our items, they brought an 18 wheeler and said they needed us to give them $300 to rent a smaller truck since the 18 wheeler was too large to fit in our driveway. We convinced them to try and the truck fit but they still demanded $150 because it was 12 extra steps to our door. We refused to pay them and had to call the cops because they would not leave our property. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

  7. Great Movers.

I used Seal Van Lines this past January, and were so very pleased with their service.I moved from New Jersey to Ohio. The young men that did the move were very professional, covered the furniture so it would not be damaged in transit, and placed the furniture where we wanted it in the new apartment. They even helped put my furniture back together for me. I would not be hesitant to recommend this firm to our family and friends.
    Service cost: $1200.00.

  8. The worst experience in my life and i've been stabbed before.

Once they get your business they could give two f**s about you. I've been sleeping on the floor for 2 weeks and not one person, especially nicole is bothering to help us. She has sent me to voicemail 4 times and has never bothered calling me back. They were rude from the moment they arrived at me door (2 hours late) and refused to take half my stuff because it wasn't on this guys list. I reapetedly asked beforehand for someone to come and do a visual inspection because we have a lot of stuff and im not sure what the total would be and they said no there's no need for that we don't have time. I had to pay 600 extra for one mattress and 6 medium boxes to be added to the truck. I make the drive over here only to find out that the truck is broken down and has remained broken down until just last week. I call the dispatcher after a week and he says it's on the way. I call him 5 days ago and he says it will be there in 5 days. great finally my suffering will end. I call after the 5 days because I want to know where my stuff is and now he says there were 7 stops they had to make along the way and it's in Denver now, should be there tomorrow. That was 2 days ago and I am still waiting to be contacted. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Terrible customer service, nobody in the company communicates with each other and the foreman for the move made my mother cry because of how rude and dishonest he was. Did you know they have a second company under a different name so they can hide the bad reviews there? look it up.

  9. Run as Far as You Can - Shady Practices!

This company is shady at best. I had a lovely conversation with the relocation specialist, Nicole, to set up service. We were simply moving 3 rooms of furniture only from Long Island to Philly (240 miles). We talked at length about how I had coordinated to have people meet the delivery guys on the other end and how much of the furniture was going to be immediately picked up by friends and family to be taken elsewhere. Additionally, she asked if I had boxes to put the TV and floor lamps in. I told her no, those were long gone and she assured me it wasn't a problem because the guys would wrap it carefully in blankets. I also ensured that the entire cost of the move could be paid by credit card, as I did not want to carry around cash on the day of the move. She assured me that was not a problem and even took my credit card the day we executed the contract to pay the deposit.

Fast forward 3 weeks later to moving day. The driver calls at 8:45 to tell me they have hit traffic and will be there in 45 minutes. It was an hour before they arrived (no big deal). IMMEDIATELY upon arrival the lead mover starts hitting me for fees. Demanding I pay for boxes to wrap the TV and lamps, because their insurance required it. Telling me that I'd be responsible for any parking violation fees (um, don't park illegally?) And telling me I must pay in cash or money order. I showed him the email communication in which I was informed my credit card would be fine as payment on moving day. So he calls his boss and I call the relocation specialist. Now she's singing a different tune and telling me I have to sign a credit card authorization form. They'd had 3 weeks to make that happen and here we are on moving day with no access to a printer, computer, fax machine or anything. I had to sign a form (with the wrong company's logo on it), take a pic of it and send via text (so not protecting my info!) The supervisor told me repeatedly not to provide the credit card info to the driver, but to destroy the paperwork once sent, so I did.

The drivers then took 4 hours to pack and load 3 rooms of furniture (at best, it should have taken these 3 men no more than 90 minutes. Thank GOD I wasn't paying by the hour). THEN the real shenanigans started -- the nightmares you read about where they have your stuff on the truck and they start hitting you for more fees. So the lead driver walked me out to the truck to show me some marks on the wall on the inside of the truck and tell me that my belongings took up more cubic feet than estimated -- this was going to double the estimate! I was never taken to the truck to see where the line was in which loading would start, nor could I see if there were feet of open space between my belongings taking up unnecessary, costly space. So the expectation is that I just believe this guy and pay him almost double what was estimated.

The lead driver went to finalize the paperwork and told me he'd deliver the furniture the next day. I told him that was unacceptable, as I was very clear from the start that the same day delivery was a requirement. Further, he wanted my credit card information and I told him the supervisor instructed me not to provide it. He went ballistic and called his foreman while I called the supervisor. They apparently instructed him to stand down, but immediately charged my credit card for the full amount (almost double what I'd originally been quoted). I expressed how unhappy I was with the office and let them know this was very shady. I was told to call the supervisor as he "wanted to speak with me". Why am I calling him when I'm the customer who has been treated poorly and misled?

So at 2:15pm they finally roll out to make the drive to PA. It's a 2/12 hour drive at that time of day. I completed my work in NY and left two hours later at 4:30. At 5:45, the lead driver called me SCREAMING at me because there had been a road closure on the route he had taken. How would I have been able to predict that? He never asked nor told me what route he was taking. And I don't work for NJDOT, so how would I have known the road was closed? He works for a trucking company with a dispatch group. How had they not notified him of this? After 3 phone calls (all of which he rudely hung up on me), in which he continually stated he was just going to turn around and have someone deliver the furniture the next day because he "couldn't find another way to get there", I angrily told him to stop talking and I would give him another route. He just didn't want to take it because it was going to take longer and he wanted to go home (yes, he told me this!). So they finally found a different direction, hung up on me and continued to the final destination in PA.

Meanwhile, I was able to drop a colleague off at home, drive through the bank, fill up with gas and arrive at the final destination at the same time they did -- 8:05pm -- nearly 6 hours after they left!!

At this point, the driver was so angry he would not speak to me. They unloaded very quickly, but did not bother to assess for damage (There was some). And while one of the movers was still putting furniture together in the garage, the lead driver screamed at him to stop doing it because they weren't going to be home before 1 am and had to be back up at 4am. So they left without finishing putting the furniture back together.

NO ONE from this company has bothered to reach out to me, apologize, or rectify any of this. I believe they are shady in that they lie to you upfront, get all your belongings on their truck and then essentially hold you hostage during one of the most vulnerable times in your life. I have moved over a dozen times in my life and I have never had a more horrendous experience.

  10. The worst moving experience I've ever had.

.. And I've moved four times in the past year.

I was lied to over and over again. When I agreed to use this moving company they had told me that they would deliver my items same day or next day.

Despite my efforts to stay in contact with the company both prior to pickup and after pickup, there was complete disregard for me on the part of the movers. My sales representative told me every day.. it'll get there tomorrow.. the movers should contact you. The movers never called day after day after day. I had to call and email incessantly just to get my items back four days later. Come to find out they had been in storage the entire time. Not even in transit.

I was told that with the amount of things I would be moving the price shouldn't increase at all, even if I added boxes to the shipment. I removed a television, two bags, a box of frames, and some other personal belongings and the price still increased over $200.

I wouldn't have minded the arrival date of my items if the company just could've stayed in touch or been honest about when my items would've arrived, but this was not the case. I couldn't get a straight answer for days.

I only moved a bedroom full of items (mostly boxes besides a futon), but for some reason when the movers arrived they couldn't handle simple setup of furniture or communication with each other. I've moved my futon myself (as a woman) and taken it apart/ put it back together with no problem. The movers took chucks out of the back door before they decided it was appropriate to take to futon apart so it would fit into the apartment. They took 2 hours just to get my belongings into the apartment. They left two shelves without setting them up. The mover kept calling me before they arrived asking me personal questions, when he got here he kept asking for my number/if we could get to know each other/if he could stay over. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I am a woman that lives alone and just moved to a new city where I don't know anyone.. how would that ever be appropriate.

Even up until the last day the movers kept trying to extend the drop off date for my things. If I hadn't pushed them they wouldn't have arrived until a week after pickup.

Because of no prior notice of the ACTUAL shipping time until my belongings had been already packed and shipped in the van, I spent days sleeping on a floor and wearing the same clothes until my belongings arrived.

The worst move I've ever had. I shouldn't have to be up your a** for you to be honest and do your job properly.

  11. These guys are awesome.

I had an emergency move back home these guys were so good they listened to everything I needed as far as moving back home on such short notice and made it happen. The guys that came to load the truck were very professional. When they got to Louisiana everything was great they unloaded and reassembled everything the way I needed it. I truly appreciate Seal for helping me the way they did I thought this move was going to be impossible but Seal Van Lines made it happen.

    Thank you.

  12. Nicole.

Great company, so honest and thorough. I recently moved from ny to Tennessee with my husband for our first move and they provided such phenomenal service. The lady helped me through everything, to understand everything and to check in and make sure everything was on point. Also the pricing was amazing. I recommended this company to my friends that are on the move. Just wonderful. Everything a first time mover can ask for. Thank you!!

  13. Professional & Courteous.

Just wanted to thank you for moving me from New York to Florida. Your staff was very professional, courteous and on time with my furniture. Everything was handled exceptionally.
Thanks for making my move care free.

    Sharon Cohen.

  14. What a great experience!

This was all around great experience. First let me start by saying their customer service is wonderful the people are nice and they are so helpful. They moved me and my family from NY to AZ the day the movers came to my house the guys that came were so nice and professional they wrapped everything quick while doing a perfect job. When they got to AZ they unloaded and reassembled all my furniture I was so impressed at what a great job they did.
