    Recently hired Select Van to move my stuff to my newly built house. I have moved several times myself but this was my last move, I'm not as young as I used to be, and quit frankly I had no desire to do any of the work. Select Van came highly recommended so I gave them a call. From the moment the showed up for my survey I could tell they knew what they were doing. I wasn't just another move to them. I went for the super sized deal so to speak. They packed all my things for 2 days, same group of gals each day. I even ran some errands while they packed.. That is the level of trust I had. On the third day a whole new crew of guys showed up and loaded all my things with delivery to be the next day. They made a special trip out to my new house with my beds and a few other items so my family and I could sleep there that night. They didn't need to do that.. They had been working hard all day. That is the level of service that this company brings, TOP NOTCH. The same crew showed up the next day and unloaded the rest of my things with out problems. I even had the gals back out for a day to help my wife unpack. If you have a move coming up I suggest you call Wink Smith and Select Van. Thumbs up from me for sure!!

  2. Local Omaha, NE move: Professional, prompt and great price!

    My wife and I had a great moving experience with Select Van Mayflower! We had a quick timeline and our needs were met and then some. First, the staff were professional and very accommodating of our moving needs. Next, the SAM (Store and Move) we used was clean, in great condition and all deliveries and pickups were on time. Finally, the movers were great, the packing of the SAM was ideal and all our concerns were alleviated by how they prepared and packed our household goods. It was an overall great experience at a great price. We would definitely recommend Select Van Mayflower of Omaha. Also, we moved during the holidays and on a cold and snowy day. However, things went so smoothly that weather was not the issue we thought it would be. We were so happy under the circumstances to have great movers work with and support us through what can be a stressful move. Honestly, it was just less stressful with these movers! My wife and I can't thank them enough!

  3. Smooth Move.

    Select Van Mayflower was not the least expensive quote I received but Scott Riha, my estimator made me feel at ease. He assured me they had it all covered and not to worry about a thing. WOW!! was he right.. My Coordinator Ron kept me informed. The gal's that packed my boxes were fantastic. They made me feel at ease from the moment they got there. It's scary to have people you do not know come in and pack all of your belongings, they made me feel comfortable from the get go. My driver and his helpers worked hard and wrapped my furniture in blankets inside my house. My things arrived in the date range gave to me and in one piece. Select Van made a stressful time for my family a lot less stressful!!

    We moved from West Des Moines, IA to Southern California.  Our first contact was Chris Johnson in the WDM office of Select Van.  Chris was exceptionally helpful, from explaining the bid process to even helping with the final packing.  Driver Herman arrived on time and took charge - a good thing because we had no idea what we were doing.  He delivered our belongings on schedule and kept us updated on what that schedule would be.  At our destination, unloader Perry Hernandez went above and beyond to make sure that everything was unloaded properly and reassembled.

  5. My shipment was a week late and damaged.

    Short story: My shipment was a week late and damaged.Longer story: They packed and picked up my shipment in mid November. Delivery was set for a week later. I was advised I needed to be there to accept the shipment or I would incur extra storage charges. I flew out to make sure I was there on the first possible delivery date and was informed the morning of that the shipment would not arrive until a week and a half later. Turns out they knew that the shipment couldn't get delivered on time before they had picked it up but had neglected to tell me. Even though I was at the destination my belongings were still in a warehouse in the originating city. They knew that once that  my belongings were on the truck on a truck I couldn't do anything and I had to pay in order to get the truck unloaded once it did arrive.
    Once it was unloaed it was clear my shipment had been loaded and unloaded multiple times enroute. In that process lots of wooden things had been damaged, scraped, etc. This was probably due to the fact they didn't have a driver when they loaded my shipment and had to load and unload it from the trucks to the warehouse and back multiple times.DO yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. Grabel quoted higher but I regret not going with them. Between the vacation I burned, plane tickets I bought, and nights in the hotel Mayflower cost me 5k more in time and money. Not sure how to monetize stress but probably the 2nd most stressful time in my life.
