Utter nightmare on every level.
I am permanently disabled and on an extreme fixed income, for massive injuries and PTSD. I got a quote from Silver on 8-12 with a 100% detailed inventory list, boxes, sizes weights etc. I was told 2350 with shuttle at drop off as new place cannot accommodate an 18 wheeler. I actually 2 weeks before took off a huge desk, dining table with 4 dining chairs and big 10ft x 10ft rug. Brining my estimate to 2150 with a 900$ deposit. A few days before pickup, I went over exact number of boxes etc, exact. I also told them there were 2 flights of stairs. The local guys, South Coast Movers showed up and starting in, too big, too much, not same ( lie) was all the same. They put me on phone with there boss Lisa, she yelled at me, price was now 4100, if I left couch and some other very important items, took hours and they were all rude. I finally get on road, in shock. I finally reached Silver Star the following week. Most of there numbers don't work and the voicemails are all full. Finally someone named Andrew called me , siding with Soth Coast, saying there were more stairs, its a long carry etc. NOT true. After a few days he offered me 500$ off. Not even close to enough but I wanted it behind me, so I said whatever, however I need in writing that the drop-off shuttle was included. He called me today to say it was not included and would cost at least 350$. I can't afford it, am disabled, the stress is killing my PTSD. No one at Silver Star has even apologized, once. They act like its my fault and I am lucky to get anything. I got upset at this news, rightlfully so and hung up.Andrew called me back and yelled, Dealls OFF!! and hung up. What part of low income disabled do they not get, never in my life experienced so many lies, deception, greed, lack of responsibility in my life. Hoping to get an attorney this week that fights for Americans with disabilities. So broke and stressed , making me sick, shame on Silver Star.
Terrible experience and a no show!
Silver Star Moving group is a terrible company, not dependable, not honest and I can go on and on! At first George, the sales rep was very nice for an out of state move. Everything was all scheduled for specific dates do to elevators needed in both cities, even paid extra for exact pick up date, deposit paid, no show, truck issues, then was going to happen the next day, that didn't happen, then 48 hours later for an additional $900 Lisa said she could get another carrier to guarantee delivery, which as guaranteed all along! I had read the comments about Silver Star Moving Group ahead of time but George assured me it wasn't the same company. I truly believe it was the same company so in a way "my bad" for falling for his false words. Reading these various reviews, so are almost identical to my situation. I was able to find another company, for the same amount, very last minute, who came through with flying colors. I am still out the deposit of $785 but at least was able to get belongings to new place to start a new career! Shame on you Silver Star Moving for your terrible customer service or lack there of. You should be put out of business and hopefully with enough complaints to the BBB in Florida, that will happen.
Cheats.
The agent as he turned out to be - Mic Price, asked for $4100 to offer us locked dates for pick up and delivery for our move. This was compared to another quote of $2600 by another mover. He promised trust and quality and then after booking no one called to pick tell us when they are coming. On calling they kept us in dark for the two days that he said they will be arriving on the second confirmed day in the evening between 6-8 PM. When they did not show up till 7 Pm we called the customer care and they postponed the move till tomorrow. We had cleaners coming the next day and had to cancel them besides stay extra days in rented property. When I asked them to refund the money for "no show" they refused to refund the money.
Their part of the story was that the truck broke down and they were aware about that from before but they did not tell us about it and kept us waiting for them till 7.00PM.
They are nothing but a bunch of liars and cannot be trusted.

This company was so efficient and organized! They handled everything I needed them to, and more. I would recommend them to everyone.

Liars, this company quoted me $3000 for my move 2 days before they picked up my stuff they wanted $8000 saying the inventory tripled. I had to fly back to Iowa from Texas and rent a U-Haul which all my stuff fit into a 26 ft truck costing me $1600 these people are double talking back stabbing sob. I would not trust them they took a deposit 1k and won’t give it back ?
Horrible Experience - Run away as fast as you can.
Missed multiple dates to be on site to move my furniture in which I had to drive 400 miles to meet them each time they did not show up. When they did arrive, there was only one person to move all of my furniture including washer and dryer down 20 steps. I ended up being the second person. Cut my arm in the process requiring stitches. A month later, I still don't have my furniture. I'm currently at over $1000.00 out of pocket expenses. Never again!
