  1. CHARGED MORE, RUINED FURNITURE, POOR SERVICE

VETERANS BEWARE, IF YOU ARE USED TO MILITARY MOVES: HOW A $11,000 MOVE CAN BECOME $25,000 MOVING DAY

If you are used to a decent relocation experience of any kind while in the military, PLEASE stay clear of STAR USA MOVING COMPANY. An experience with this company will more than likely NOT resemble a move you experienced while moving with the military at all. And YOU will be paying for it entirely. And you will PAY dearly. They are an extremely overpriced and wait until the day OF your move to INFORM you as to the exact cost of your move. They work hand in hand with a just as shady sideways broker company to get your contract and they present a moving package one way to you and then when it’s time for your actual move ( day before & day of) they will start pulling out all these additional little charges from the air that “are connected” to the movement of your goods. A total scam in my opinion, to get your business at one price and once you have committed (and they know you probably can’t or won’t back out) they can and WILL add more and more charges to the bill. And trust me, they DON’T earn the funds by any means. Not by the many reviews I have read since contracting with them and with my OWN experience. The quality of their work is NOT quality to any degree whatsoever. Having been in the military for 26 years, I have had to move many many times. However I never encountered anything remotely this unprofessional and bootlegged in my entire career. Bottom line, I recommend you look elsewhere for your relocation needs. Especially if you value your personal belongings/property and don’t want to be taken advantage of (because you have no other choice: you move out of a resident or just have to relocate)being at their mercy. I was more than disgusted with the inflated cost of my family’s quoted move. It was nearly 3x the amount. And they only had 2 people to move a 3,100 square feet home. Yep hours and hours and hours of agony. And understand, we had professional packers come in 3 weeks earlier to pack up our things prior to them arriving to move us. While there, one of the workers decided to blast his reggae music in my home while moving our things so my entire neighborhood could hear it. That really helped the tension headache at the time as well. All in all what was thought to be an $11,000 move ended up being a $25,000 move for me and my family from North Carolina to Texas. BEWARE!!!

  2. Horrible Service

My wife and I contracted through Priceline Moving, but we found out that Star USA Moving was the actual moving company With out a doubt the worse service we ever had. I am retired military and we have moved many times, but this last move with Star USA was terrible. First thing they did when they picked up at our house in Alabama was to go straight to our bathroom to relieve themselves without asking asking if they could use our bathroom this was in January 2021 during COVID 19. When they delivered the household goods in March 2021 they did the same thing without asking if they could use our bathroom. The other thing the one man stunk so bad that the order lingered for days. My wife and I did most of the packing and we packed very well (because this was not our first move so we knew how to pack}. But this company was not careful with anything even with boxes clearly marked FRAGILE, GLASS, POTTERY, etc they did not care. And they basically held our household goods ransom until we paid them in cash.

  3. Scammers BEWARE!!

I normally don't leave reviews but this company are thieves and horrible. I would give this a negative if possible. The sales guy Raymond and owner Alex both are lie and took my money. I'm in the process of suing in small claims to get my money back. In short they charged me $594 for a deposit to move me from GA to FL and I got the run around from the very beginning. Raymond never responded to calls and when I did get a hold of him he just said all was good. Which was a lie. After fighting with them about the date of my move I was given a time between 12-4pm. They never showed up and called an hour later talking about they were on the way. I sold my home and had to be out of there so when they didn't call or show up by 4pm I had to make other arrangements. Now they refuse to give me my deposit back when they know they didn't provide any services. Alex when I found his info online was rude and upset that I was call him about the issue. Uh you are the owner sir how does that sound. I just lost $600 and I'm warning you to NOT us this company as they lie and don't show up. Since their refund is 3 days after you sign that's how they can keep your money especially if you scheduled your move months in advance. I didn't do anything last minute my move was scheduled Mar 29th and I called them beginning of February to confirm everything. I should have done more research and read and more importantly believed the reviews that I saw before contacting them. Lessoned learned for me I hope you read the reviews and know this company is trash and to never use.

  4. Don’t Do It! Scammers.

DONT DO IT! Scammers! ! Movers were late and very HIGH. One refused to take his sunglasses off as he discussed my move, I’m sure because he was high. His clothes smelled of marijuana and he kept adjusting my quote. He was very vocal about the fact that the company “told me wrong” regarding packaging my items for delivery and that I would need to be packaged differently. I tried to contact the office 3x before they started and twice since, with three emails and NONE of them were responded to.

My pictures were placed in the same box, yet I was charged separately, as well. My conversation with the representative to obtain a quote was $1100 less than my actual cost because the instructions given to prepare my items for delivery were inaccurate. My Kitchen table was dented, the walls in my new house were scraped so deeply that wall patches were needed. Items were placed in the wrong rooms, even though direction was given. The movers were late for the delivery and had attitude as though I was doing them a favor. Do yourself a favor find someone else.

  5. Don't Use Them.

Our daughter was moving from Milledgeville, Ga. to Tallahassee, Fl. We called Trinity Relocations and got an estimate. They gave a very reasonable quote. When the move got closer, a few things were added to the list (10 things, the biggest being 2 plastic 3 drawer containers) and the estimate went up by about $1000!
The day of the move the movers (Star USA Moving out of Atlanta) arrived in a Budget truck and were 2 1/2 hours late! We had assumed that such a short move would be same day delivery. The movers told us the same day is $650 more! This was NEVER explained to us. Trinity said traffic or weather could make a difference, but NOT that most moves hold your things for 7-10 business days. The day of the move was a beautiful day and ours were the only items on the truck. When we called and complained to Trinity, they said that if we did not want to pay the extra fee, the movers could just turn around and take our daughter's things with them back to Atlanta and deliver them in a few days! (Even though they were less than an hour from Tallahassee, more than 3 hours from Atlanta, at that point). There was no reason they could not deliver our things the same day! It would have cost the movers more to go back to Atlanta. But we already had a lot of money in Hotel rooms and couldn't afford more time off from work.
The movers themselves were nice and did a good job, except that they stopped for dinner before delivering our things, which is fine but they never called us to let us know. The whole thing was misleading, frustrating and unpleasant. We will never use or recommend these movers or Trinity Relocation again. Buyer beware!

  6. Worst movers ever.

Was told by Susan "manager" that my sales consultant was incompetent. When I repeatedly said I was shocked at the level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service, Susan said "ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP ME ON THE PHONE ALL MORNING?!?! I GOT IT."

Confirmed and was promised movers would be here between 12-4pm Sunday. Called at 4:15pm on Sunday and was told that the driver wouldn't be here until the next day. Took numerous phone calls to even get someone on the phone. Spoke with Alex, was told it was my fault the driver wouldn't be at my apartment on the confirmed day of the move. Shocked at the rude way I'm being treated, considering it's their error. Was told since I didn't answer my phone the day before (Saturday), the move was rescheduled. The voicemail that was left left on Saturday, when I didn't answer my phone, stated the movers would be here between 12-4pm the next day (Sunday). There were no instructions to call/text back to confirm. I double confirmed the move on Friday, yet no one seems to care. I would not ever use these movers again. Buyer beware!
