Do Not Use! Stolen & Damaged Items! Claims Filed.
Please do NOT use Straightway Moving & Storage Company.
Our move was August 2017 it is now January 2018. It has been over 4 months since we are dealing with this issue. We are left with a broken bed, broken shelving, shattered picture frames, damaged paper printer, and multiple items to list. We have been unable to contact the owner/John and it has been a headache to file claims. Not only did they damage the majority of our items. 100 percent of our items were removed and repacked. Should be noted that all of our items were labeled, organized and sealed in a specific manner and were returned to us 3 months later completely repacked, unlabeled, and randomly scattered. For example; kitchen items with bathroom items, cleaning supplies with clothing, husbands suits packed nicely and dry cleaned and returned crumpled and ruined. I urge you to please DO NOT trust them. We have lost more than we have in moving costs.
We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt multiple times and they are unwilling to help when we asked them to locate our stolen items. We are not understating the word “stole” our items were removed from their unopened manufacturers packaging. Example; Apple TVs, ps4, and other electronics. Day after day, week after week, but they never called us back and never returned emails. To make a bad situation even worse, they lied about their shipping cost and quote, we were quoted $900 for the move to end up with a $1400 bill that we were forced to pay to receive our broken and stolen items. (I will include photos).
The claims you end up filing are not within the company but with a third party organization which take about 30-60 days to process the paperwork. They will also tell you your items are worth a fraction of their original value. To say we are angry or disappointed that this has happened is an understatement. Please let us be an example and do NOT use this company! Also be prepared to lawyer up. We are still dealing with this.

I just moved from CA. to TX with straight away moving and these guys are the bomb. I call john after another company no-showed me on moving day and john sent out a crew in 2 hours notice and the guys were amazing, tracy and mike just blew me away with the way they wrapped my items and fragiles, 5 hours later I was on my way to TX. 4 days later my items arrived and on top of the amazing service straight away had a half of trailer full of water and food and diapers for the hurricane victims of houston. Not only is straight Away moving a great company they are truly great people. Thanks Guys you are awesome.

Recently moved from WA to CA and Straightaway did a fantastic job. Everyone was great from the beginning. John's estimate of my move was accurate and the pricing was better than anyone else. On move day, the movers showed up on time and packed my belongings with great care. My items arrived on the date promised and thanks to the movers doing such a great job protecting my belongings, everything arrived safe and sound. If you want a hire an honest, hard-working and all around great company, hire Straightaway Moving & Storage.

I just recently moved from LA to NYC and straight away did amazing job from start to finish, fred and his guys were effeicient, punctual and paid attention to detail. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great company.

I decided to go with this moving company out of about 20 different ones that called me simply because the woman in the office made me feel good and secure about the move. If I am spending thousands and thousands of dollars with a company to move my life I want to feel like a person and not just a pay check. Tesla definitely made me feel good through out the entire process.
I am now fully unpacked and moved into my new house in Kauai. I can honestly say I had nothing missing and only one broken cup which is pretty impressive.
They showed up on time and my cost was actually under what she quoted me for. I LOVED that!

I hired Straightaway Moving & Storge to help me from Hilo, HI to Denver, CO and I couldn't be happier with my decision to hire them. I was skeptical hiring a new company at first, especially with all the horror stories you hear about moving companies in general, but they were AMAZING!! The movers showed up on-time and ready to work. They treated all my belongings as if they were their own and everything was what they promised. Andrea, Barbara and Tesla kept in constant contact with me every step of the way and were always available to speak to me..day or night! If/when I move again, I will definitely be hiring Straightaway Moving & Storage and highly reccomend that anyone looking for an honest and trustworthy moving company, who will make your moving process a easy one hire Straightaway Moving & Storage!!
