Unprofessionals damaged my dryer.
I chose student movers because compared to other local movers they had good reviews and were very affordable. So, when moving day came I was excited because I hadn't used "professional movers" before and thought it would make my move a little less stressful. They arrived an hour and 30 minutes late and never even introduced themselves just came in and told me to show him what I needed moved. I tried helping bring stuff down to load the truck but I had to step out to make a few phone calls, so when coming back I could hear from the distance some loud banging noise. That noise? Movers bringing my washer down. I told them to be more careful because they could break something. That was to no avail since the dryer and most of my belongings were already in the truck. A few hours after they had left I plugged in my washer and dryer. Washer worked fine but my dryer wouldn't come on. The apartment already came with a dryer that I knew was working and despite that I had the maintenance people come over and test the outlet. Not surprisingly the problem was my dryer.
So, I contacted Student Movers to inform them that they had damaged my dryer when moving it. They said somebody was going to contact me the next day about the damage claim. Nobody contacted me so I reached out to them two days later, and they said no manager was available. After calling them several times and almost a week later I finally got hold of manager Mike. He asked me if the movers disconnected the dryer, which they had done. [Mike said his movers didn't disconnect anything so who knows why he asked me in the first place.] He said his technicians told him you can't damage a dryer by moving it. Mind you, my dryer was working perfectly for the past two years till they moved it. Manager Mike said that I could get someone to fix it and that if I had something in writing by the company saying it was damaged by the movers then he would pay 60 cents per pound (all in all no more than $30). At that point I asked him for the damage claim department so they could open an investigation or at least file a complaint. He said he manages all damage claims and that mine had been denied on the spot.
At this point, besides informing and warning anyone that might be interested in hiring these guys (save yourself some trouble and hire someone else with more experience and at least a bit more trustworthy), I'm formally filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the DMV. I'll let as many people as I can know what a horrible company this is so you don't get cheated the way I was.

I moved about a week ago and I had Weston and his crew hands down the best moving crew out there I have moved in the past but they were the best.They were fast and friendly.I have spoken with other people who has used other movers and they all had problems but with this crew they came out to work and no playing around that is what I needed because money is hard to come by but that was the best $450 dollars that I spent and can say the job got done.Now the office crew was very helpful also they made sure I had all the boxes I needed and they called the day before to confirm.I can say that Westons crew are one of the best moving crews out there hands down.
