Incorrect packing or loading caused damage.
Mr. Campbell and his assistant, Lawson, were prompt and professional. The 14' U-Haul was loaded strategically and well within the minimum 2 hour time. They seemed to have done such a good job that I tipped them $40. I drove the loaded truck to CA and off-loaded a day and a half later, with the assistance of another MovingHelp professional. The owner of Concord Affordable Movers brought to my attention that a pole lamp had been laid on it's side when packed and consequently broken. I believe the original cost was approximately $60. about 2 or 3 years ago, but it was important to me. In contacting Mr. Campbell regarding the damage and reimbursement, began a 3 month period of: needing a receipt; then needing a picture; then he couldn't guarantee since he didn't drive the U-Haul; then there would be depreciation on the value for the 2 or 3-year age. I couldn't locate the receipt, pictures were sent, and in 40 years of driving I've not had a ticket or accident. If you contract with Mr. Campbell to pack your moving, be sure you have a receipt for every item and manage the loading and packing to insure that you need not go through this same unfortunate situation over something precious to you and your family.

Superior saved the day and loaded our truck after the previous mover cancelled on us. But that's about it.. The guy had an attitude with me from the begining. I hadn't seen my 10 year old daughter in about two weeks since I moved for a job. My daughter was attached to my side. The guy in charge glared at my daughter and said stay out of my way. I should have asked him to leave at that time. He complained the whole time loading our truck. Load was ok at best, alot of smashed boxes and scratches. If he didn't want the work he didn't have to take the job. He then stood over my wife and made he write a positive review about him. I tried to delete but the company woul dnot allow it since it was submitted. Would I use this company again? NEVER!! Stay away from this comany.
Furniture that went to the storage unit.
Zachary is a great guy and works very hard. I left him a great review on the u haul site. This was before I looked into my storage facility. I couldn't believe the way our very expensive furniture was thrown in and piled up. I had a VERY EXPENSIVE COCKTAIL TABLE THAT WAS SET ON THE FLOOR AND NOT WRAPPED. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET TO THE FURNITURE TO DETERMINE THE DAMAGE YET, AS IT ALL HAS TO BE MOVED OUT AND AND RE PACKED. I DID NOTICE AN ANTIQUE COUCH THAT WAS WRAPPED WITH SHRINK BUT I HAVE TO CHECK AND SEE IF THE LEATHER IS COVERED . Zachary is a great guy and a real hard worker but I don't think I can recommend him for anything other than small moves. He did offer to come for free and re pack the storage unit but my wife was reluctant to let him get involved again.
