Moving a piano.
I just had Ted's Moving pick up and move in a piano I bought yesterday. I called them and was able to get an appointment the very next day at 10:30 in the morning. Ted, Shelby and Reggie picked up the piano and within a half an hour were unloading it at my door. There was a tight corner they had to navigate to get it in the room I wanted it in. They lifted the piano onto its side and slid it right in. They are extremely experienced, they work quickly and efficiently and are very careful. They are also very pleasant people to deal with. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I highly recommend Ted's Moving if you need to move a piano or anything else, for that matter, plus, their price was very reasonable! They're the Best!
HORRIBLE SERVICE
THE WORST SERVICE YOU CAN EVER GET. TED SAYS HE HAS DONE THIS FOR 30 YEARS BUT STILL MANAGES TO MAKE HIS CUSTOMERS UPSET. SO RUDE. DAMAGED MY SOFA AND ELLIPTICAL.
No trucks even with reservation.
Resvered a moving truck a week in advanced from Ted's. When I got there he told me he called me the same morning and left a message saying there were no trucks available (I have no missed calls or messages). He then goes on to blame corporate for not cancelling my reservation.
He handed me a pamphlet and said I'd have to deal with customer service and offered no other help.
I wouldn't recommend this moving company.
This wasn't unfortunately a good experience for me even if I hired Ted's moving based in Pembroke Pines FL under the recommendation of a co-worker who has a good experience moving an office.
Ted estimated 1 day of work and charges per hour. estimate was about $1,000 for 1 day.
At the end of the first day it wasn't finished and Ted blackmailed us to pay an extra 800$ if we want to see our boxes again. Literally : "I will keep the truck with your stuff if you don't pay the extra cost" and in cash please. So we said yes (what other choice..). They actually needed only 3 extra hours the next day.
One table was broken and they fixed it. One coffee table was missing. When we called to inquire about it, Ted said he will bring it back if we give him back the 2 wardrobes moving boxes. No need to blackmail us again, we will of course give it back, just ask! What do you want us to do with moving boxes now?!
Se we ended up paying almost twice the estimated price for a poor service (none of the furniture were protected and many corners are lightly damaged), a lot of stress and a bookshelf that just "disappeared".
The crew were brave guys even if the team leader was way not professional, chatting a lot, asking for expresso and loud and giving his opinion instead of working.
So I wouldn't recommend this company.
