    I was not sure if I should give this company 4 pr 5 stars, as there is no option of 4,5 which would be fare.
    The delivery took couple of days longer than I expected, but overall experience was great. Hard working movers, accurate estimate, caring customer service.

  3. Terrible, terrible, terrible..

    If you are thinking about hiring this company my advice would be not to. We contacted this company and provided a list of the items to be moved from the storage facility in Woodbridge, NJ to California. We were given an estimate by Bill, a friend at first but a ghost later, which was cheaper than the other estimates we had. We ended up hiring the company, big mistake, and scheduled a pick up date. Received a call from an Ana letting us know that the driver and his crew would be at the storage facility the following morning between 8 am to 11 am. We told her that there would be no way we could make it to the facility by 8 am. We agreed that the crew would arrive no earlier than 9 am. The following morning the crew calls me at 7:30 am saying they'll be there at 8 am. He tells me they have to charge me a $150 an hour waiting fee. It's Saturday and I can't reach anyone at the company. The storage facility had already rented the space to someone else because we informed them that Saturday would be our last day. We get to the storage facility at 9:00 am and was greeted by the foreman. The foreman looked at the items on the list and informed us that there would be no way they would fit in the 400 cubic feet of space that was in the estimate given to us by Bill, who turned out to be a dishonest person. To make a long story short the amount ended up being more than double the estimate and included the $150 waiting fee which he would not waive until I spoke to Ana, another dishonest person. I signed the Bill of Landing, along with other papers and was given December 27, 2016 as the first available delivery date. We ended up getting the delivery on January 17, 2017. It gets better. The foreman collected the remaining balance, wrote paid on the invoice, then proceeded to tell me that there would be an additional charge of $700 + for stairs and distance. I told him the money I gave him was final payment and referred him to the Bill of Landing, which clearly read $4,463.00 Flat Total Price. He told me that the final price didn't include his fees for bringing the stuff up to the apartment. I told him that's not my problem because that's not what I agreed to or signed. He tells me it's not his problem either and he needs to get paid. He proceeds to call someone, who I assumed was his boss or the owner of Top Movers, and starts talking to him in Russian. As he's talking he's starting to take our things out of the truck and putting them in the driveway of the apartment building we had just moved into in LA. I asked him what he was doing and he said that he was only responsible for unloading the items, If he was to bring the items up to the apartment then he would need to be paid. I called Bill and told him what was going on. He told me he would get to the bottom of it and call me back (I haven't heard from him since). Frustrated and mad with no options, I told the foreman to just unload the stuff into my garage. I ended up hiring a couple of guys from home depot and paid them $100 each to move the stuff from the garage to the apartment.
    There is a lot more that I could have written about including the telephone conversations I had with Bill and Ana, the number of times I was lied to, the number of mistakes made by the company, etc., but that would mean several more paragraphs. Bottom line, I would never use this company again even if they were the only moving company around. They are not to be trusted with anything they say or even write. As long as they have your things in their possession they will hold you hostage and pretty much do whatever they want. I for one will not take it lying down though, I will report this company to the BBB and all other government agencies. I will do whatever I can to make sure that companies like this that engage in deceptive practice in the way they do business don't continue to profit.

  4. First time I am finally satisfied.

    These guys were great! The moving crew treated my belongings with care and worked quickly. My move included full packing services which include packing for Beds, TVs, workout machines and many boxes I had. I'm glad I did not save money on that as I did not have to waste my whole day on packing and preparing the stuff. The final price was fair. I have used other moving companies in the past and was disappointed This is the first time I am finally satisfied.

  5. Actual cost was almost three times the estimate.

    I hired this company because they were recommended on Yelp. Their quote was lowest between four other companies, those companies actually came in and looked at my household goods. I anticipated a increase in the cost but not by $8000.00 dollars. The employees were great, worked hard and took care of my goods, however, they showed up late and worked well into the late night to get things done. Packing day concluded at 1130 at night. Currently I have no ability to scan but will attach both the estimate and the final bill when I have that capability.

  6. Move.

    I recently used Top Movers to move to LA, and they did a wonderful job. The movers were professionals. everything was handled with care especially the items from my upper level that had to be brought downstairs. In California apartment they took time to help me set the house up. They put items where I asked and not just piled them up in a room. The best part about them move was that I paid exactly what was quoted and did not have any surprises at the end. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for a reliable stress free moving company.

  7. Would definitely recommend.

    Top movers were terrific - quick, efficient, friendly, and really hard working. I can't say enough good things about this company. We had problems with our closing and were so stress. We had to arrange everything last minute but Top Movers made it all go as smoothly as possible under the circumstances.They showed up on time and the moving was flawless. I added a lot of stuff and the guys had no problem moving everything. They were very careful with the fragile items. Thanks Kevin and Isiah for making the process so easy. I will highly recommend this company.

  8. Pretty Much a Scam, Cops Involved, Lawsuit Likely.

    DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY!" The sales rep who did the estimate was fantastic. Never reached him again. The movers showed up late. Our estimate was for 9.5 hours of labor, and they decided they didn't want to work that late at night. They asked us about an hour or two in to split the move into two days, put them up in a motel, buy them dinner, and add gratuity to the bill. We called their office, the manager told us that is absolutely not their policy and that she would make sure they finished the job that day, because otherwise we would have to pay for overnight storage and other charges. She said "it's fine for them to unload at night, they finish the job, that is what you are paying them to do." She also called the foreman to make sure this was communicated to him as well. When the truck was over an hour late to our destination, I called the foreman to ask where they were. By then, the office was closed. He said "our boss told us to go to a motel for the night." He only brought the truck to our place because I told him I would call the police otherwise. He was yelling at me and threatening me, so the police did in fact come. When I mentioned that he was doing exactly what his boss told him not to do, he said "I am the boss." The police got all of his information and made sure he came back the next morning. At that point he demanded money for storage and several hours of additional labor, in cash, before he would unload anything. The police once again had to get involved and explain that they would arrest him if he drove away with our belongings.The police officer had to stay and watch while the truck was unloaded because the foreman threatened to just stop working and leave otherwise. The officer then wrote the amount of money that I signed to authorize; I agreed to pay the balance from the estimate after my deposit, but refused any additional charges that would need to be a separate bill, and said they were welcome to take that up with me in court. The movers dumped everything on the ground floor and would not re-assemble or move anything into other rooms. The foreman waited until the police officer was gone and then yelled/threatened more until I signed the paper saying what time they left. My card was charged for more than the amount I signed to authorize, to include hours of labor they did not put in and overnight storage I did not agree to. This whole time, no one from their office would return my calls. He started cursing me out when he finally left. Their website is hacked with rather alarming images that mimic a terrorist organization (I sincerely hope it's just an impersonation). I cannot reach their office to file a complaint through their "company." I will be disputing this charge, and either suing or counter-suing depending on their response. This went beyond a contract disagreement and I am just thankful that I had witnesses and a police presence there. DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY!".

  9. Moving experience.

    My experience was not so cool with my previous mover last year, so I did some research before hiring this time. I was extremely worried about whom to believe with our belongings. I started finding a good mover on internet and I picked up five companies and called all of them.
    Top movers sent a guy to my apartment next day. I am sorry that I forgot the name of the person who came to make estimate for but he did an excellent job. It was very accurate. Finally I went to Top movers office and reserved a move date relocation from New Jersey to California. When the crew arrived, we were not packed completely. So the guys were really good and helpef with packing. They even gave us few boxes for free. Every item was either shrink wrapped or wrapped in padded blankets.
    They disassembled my big furniture and reassembled everything back once they came at my new house to deliver my stuffs in Los Angeles.
    It was obviously a good move. Thank you Top Movers for conducting a great move for us!

    My experience with Top Movers was a very positive one. Bill gave me the best quote out of few other moving companies and delivered every promise made.The crew worked non-stop to move all of our stuff and all 3 movers were so efficient! The guys were young and energetic, and were extremely nice throughout the process. the foreman explained me in details all paperwork that I signed. In two days we received out furniture in Virginia, the same 3 guys delivered it to our new house, unpacked everything and put our beds back together. I recommend this company to everyone looking for affordable and high quality moving solution.

    First, let me say that I have moved at least 10 times in my professional career (that is a conservative number) as I was a military officer for several years. I have moved in the military and as a civilian. This move, by far, was the worst. It is expected and understandable to have a few scratches and nicks on the furniture after a move and I have never had to submit a claim in all these years but with this move even my beds are unusable because they lost so many pieces in the move. But I am getting ahead of myself, the household goods were delivered on 7/21/2016, let me start with moving day (7/3/2016).

    Moving day:

    On moving day, 4 men were scheduled to show up between 10am and 12pm. They showed up at 2:30pm (no problem). They finished at midnight (also not really a problem). I did request and pay for a "full pack". I lived in a 2 bedroom house so I am not sure why it took that long but nonetheless, it did and there were a few minor issues but nothing to waste your time with. I had an in-home estimate before the move by Top Movers and the estimate for the full pack and move from Connecticut to Texas was $5,785.05. The actual amount I was charged by Top Movers on moving day was $7,500.00 (I did not pay by the hour and I did not accumulate stuff in the time between the estimate and the move. In fact, I decided to drive my SUV so it should have been less as I gave things away and carried a great deal of stuff myself). I understand that sometimes the in-home estimate underestimates or overestimates the actual move but a $1,714.95 difference in the estimate and actual cost is pretty significant and more of a difference than I experienced with my moves in the past..yet, no tears shed, no love lost. My things were on the truck and I had decided to drive my own vehicle to Texas with my computers, my financial documents, and the things I considered irreplaceable.

    Delivery day:

    My things were scheduled for delivery 7/19/2016 (1st possible delivery date). They were delivered on 7/21/2016 so my household goods were delivered on time. The mover and I agreed on 6:30am delivery (he wanted as early as possible and I was home anyway so 6:30am worked for me). He requested payment as soon as he knocked on the door before he moved anything out of the truck. I paid him the balance in cash as requested (cash, no check, no money order, no credit card accepted upon delivery). Normally the movers I have dealt with at least unload the truck first and then request payment but I did not argue - I thought this was just the normal operating procedure for Top Movers and their affiliates. GOD HELP ME. It became apparent very quickly why they demand payment before they move anything. The damage to my items was extensive, unprecedented in my experience and wholly unacceptable. When I noticed how many things were damaged, I started video taping (since videos cannot be uploaded to this site, I am creating a YouTube channel with the videos to show what I mean by DAMAGE).

    The movers dropped the stuff off and refused to put it together. I realized and told them that they are not putting anything together because everything is so damaged that it CANNOT be assembled. I had to pull out my contract and call management (I certainly do not expect them to unpack boxes but the contract includes basic assembly of beds, dressers, desks - big furniture). Once I contacted management, they started putting the beds together (yes, I have video of that too) and they admitted that pieces of the bed were missing, wood, screws..and both of my queen beds could not be reassembled (that is 2 of 2 - I only had 2 beds and both are destroyed). One mattress was wet and smelled moldy - yup, moldy. I suppose it got wet in storage or as it was transported from storage to truck..who knows. Broken mirrors, broken desks, broken bookshelves, broken dishes, my 2-year-old armoire with broken legs (3 broken legs..3 broken legs!!), my brand new hardwood floor that is now chipped (I just moved in last week and the floor was put in last month)..

    I did let the management know (I had to call 4 times today..of course, I could not talk to Bill K..just the secretary) and I will start the claims process. I will post the progress on the claims in another posting. For now, I will continue to unpack my mangled and dilapidated boxes, curse Top Movers for this [EDIT], inept move, and just count my blessing that I did not take Bill's recommendation for car shipping and that I took all of my "irreplaceable" items with me.

    By the way, Bill K is easy, very easy to talk with when you are thinking about using Top Movers. After you sign that contract, he becomes a ghost!

    The only part of this move that was nice was Bill the sales agent! I gave a detailed list of items I had pieces that I didn't bring and was quoted 980 less! The 3 men moving me spoke broken English they charged me 31$ to wrap mattresses that I had covers for! The one moved stunk of cigarettes the other one smelt like he hasn't showered in a month they were rude and then I look at the paper and it says 150 for gratuity! The supervisor a women with an accent is useless! I had 4 other moving co quote me less that came into my home and looked at what I was moving! Worst moving experience ever! The most unprofessional company I have ever ever dealt with!

    I did my move a while ago and just now I’m getting the time to write the review. I received quotes from few different companies with Top movers quote being just about in the middle.

    The movers were extremely punctual, friendly and upfront with all of the charges associated with our move. My place was empty within four hours, that was a lot quicker than I expected. It took 5 days to get my furniture and boxes to FL, and everyone in the crew and on the phone were extremely professional and helpful. Delivery was smooth, nothing was damaged or broken.

    I would recommend Top Movers without hesitation and will definitely use them again.

  14. Great moving experience.

    I hired Top movers for my move from CT to Florida. Everything went greate, Bill provided me with detailed estimate over the phone and explained all possible charges. Movers were polite and hard working and I received my furniture in Tampa just in 3 days. Just make sure You prepare cash for delivery, I completely forgot about that and thanks god Bill called me on Saturday, And I had time to go to the bank to get enough cash. Very pleasant experience, I will recommend top movers to my friends.

    We found Top Movers when we decide to move into our new home, in NY. These guys did such a good job. We had 3 storage buildings while waiting on our home to be finished. Movers worked so hard for 12 hours, nonstop, without any compaining. And we had really heave pieces to move. I highly recommend them. They were extremely friendly and polite. If I need moving services again, will definitely give them another call. Hoping not to move again for a long time but still there was a great experience!
