  1. Terrible experience

If I could give a 0 I would. Sustained over $400 in damages, as well as missing boxes, some of them with irreplaceable family heirlooms. It’s been 6 months since our move and I have been trying to contact someone-anyone at the company, but no response. Never ever ever go with this company

  2. Moving duringCovid19.

I bought a house in Oregon and timing was during the covid19 virus. I didn’t know if I could find a moving company.

Touch of class movers was terrific. Picked up all my stuff and drove it to Oregon. Suzie was very helpful and I felt comfortable with her to call her anytime. Tony was also very helpful and I will appreciate the phone call I had with him. Great company.

  3. SCAMMERS! Worst experience ever, bad company.

I called United World Wide Movers and they claimed they had their own trucks but sent Touch of Class to do the moving. We were quoted $2250 and charged a deposit, to move a 2 bedroom house and they were supposed to do it by weight but then changed it to cubic feet. and said that the charges would be $14,557 but with a discount it would be $10,158. We were already on the road and had my mother do it and she felt threatened to do it because they said they would keep the deposit. They guaranteed delivery but were almost 2 days late and then tried to charge us more money on delivery and when we wouldn't pay they broke and threw our stuff in the front yard. They intimidated an elderly woman and disabled person and violated our rights in California. We only moved 1 state away from Nv to Ca, they are predators and thieves, scamming anyone they can and trying to force people into contracts through intimidation and threats. They picked our stuff up on the 11th and said they don't work Sunday so they would deliver on Monday but then came back with Wednesday and then showed up at 7 pm in the dark to throw our stuff off the truck with no regard breaking our antiques, flat screen tvs and a bunch of mores stuff all broken. They have no regard to your stuff, situation, or money. They are greedy scammers that will screw you any way they can. Please do no use them and turn them away if you see them, do not let this stuff happen to you or anyone else. Biggest SCAMMERS EVER DO NOT USE EVER.

  4. Crooks.

Be warned. They will try to rip you off.
They were supposed to do move on Aug 31. They never showed. Then sept 1 8:00am-11:00am. They didn’t show. Finally showed up Sunday 1:30. They reviewed my stuff with inventory. They told me that I had more boxes than the 40 I paid for. I asked them to revise the amount. We had a contract for $3118 for the move. The revised amount was for $13,000!! I told him no. I just told him to take only the furniture and leave everything else including all the boxes. I said I would rent a uhaul and load it myself and drive it myself to Cali. He said it wasn’t worth the drive from AZ to Cali for only $3100. He said he would do it for $6000 more in cash. I told him he knew the amount and the inventory before showing up. Simply take only the furniture. He said my furniture was nice and I had to pay the higher amount cause I had nice furniture. He said the original price was a quote for [EDIT] ikea furniture. I told him no one asked me if I have nice furniture or [EDIT] furniture. He said it was Sunday afternoon on Labor Day weekend. If I didn’t pay him then no one would do the move. I paid them a deposit of $1321.99!! I want my money back! They refused the move! Cause they were holding me hostage for more $$.
Don’t give them a penny! They will steal it!

  5. Move from Arizona to California.

I didn’t call touch of class they called me and said that the company I called them to do the move. I was told by Suzie that they would be out on August 30th bereeen 12 noon and 4 pm.
I called they at 3 and was told that it they weren’t here by 4 to call back. Then the driver calls and said that they would be there at 6:30.
I was suppose to have free 60 day free storage which Suzie knew about. Then I get on the 15th and told me that the stuff has to be moved because I put the date as the 14th and I told her that her driver kept rushing to put a date. On the 17th she email me that my stuff was out for delivery so had to rush and get a storage place. Then the driver called said they would be there in a hour and still had to go to the bank and post office for money order, which is another thing lied about she said that they took credit cards and debit cards. Please do not use this company for any moving. Suzie was nice and friendly at first. It is all about the money. BIG SCAM COMPAY.

  6. Touch of Class Movers Scam.

This company is the biggest scam artists in the business. I worked with Sandy and Natalie, and they charmed me from the start telling me my move from Chicago, IL to Los Angeles, CA would be flawless. They gave me a good estimate, and told me my stuff would be there within 5-10 business days from the time of my delivery date. On the day of the move, another company came to pick up my stuff, and estimated I had more stuff then what my estimate said and charged me more which I had anticipated. Then the guy tells me the that the amount of gratuity is usually 10-15%. Follow up 8 business days, and Touch of Class Movers tell me that I should wait the 2 more days. I call the second company that actually picked up our stuff, and they tell me our stuff is still in a warehouse in Chicago, and will not leave for another week! My wife and I have been sleeping on an air mattress with no furniture, and my infant's stuff had to all be bought as I could not wait any longer for his things. I called Touch of Class, and tried to get my money back and tell them that I will have another company move my stuff. This company is a scam so please please if you have any other company use them instead! DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY TOUCH OF CLASS MOVERS as I did!

  7. Plainfield, IL to Fresno,CA.

The only reason they get 1 star is because I had to, in order to enter this review. Touch of Class Movers is the worst compnay ever DO NOT USE THEM WARNING!! I did not do my homework and sent the quotes I received to my corporate office who then chose based on price not service. It went from $6,900 to almost $10,000. After all was loaded on the truck, I was told it was going to be and add $1900 packing supplies. I am now in CA and they are charging $1840 on delivery, which includes a $840 moving fee and $1,000 redelivery fee and possible storage fees. Suzie is no use she says it needs to be handled by dispatch. Please do not do business with this company!! They are a scam!!

  8. Touch of Trash.

DON’T DO IT! These ppl canceled our move before our flight and left our young children out on the street
Touch of Trash movers is the WORST moving company I have ever worked with, and that says a lot since i’ve moved 5 times in the past 10 years (across country and overseas). When I first contacted them I spoke to Suzie who was so overly sweet and helpful. I listed my items and she quoted me at 1500$ (it was a small move), then a few days later I called her and asked to make the move even smaller since we decided to donate some needed items to our church. She then quoted me at 1200$ The items were 10 medium boxes, 4 large boxes, two coaches, two tables, a bed, dresser and 2 mattress. I asked her the following questions before paying. 1) Can I put pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals on the couch (yes). 2) Can the movers come Thursday morning before our flight so our kids have somewhere to sleep the night before (yes) 3. Can I opt out of putting my mattress in a box and just have it wrapped (yes)

So Tuesday they call and say the movers are coming first thing Wednesday morning and when I spoke to Suzie about why they are coming a day early she said there is nothing I can do about it. So I stayed quiet and booked a hotel room for my family and I. So Wednesday morning rolls around and the movers come. I explained to them that the items I want to take have decreased significantly. For example instead of 10 medium boxes I only have 2 and instead of 2 mattresses I now only have 1! So they look around and decide to add almost 1000$ more to my estimate. Even though the size has been reduced by over 25%. Also they said that putting the mattress in a box is mandatory. So I call the office and explain and the previously sweet and patient Suzie becomes hands down the most impatient and rude person i’ve ever spoke to. She claims that she never told me it was ok to put things on the couch, FYI later in the day her manager CONFIRMS after listening to the recorded calls that Suzie did actually say this. Suzie tells me that the estimate she gave me was based off standard sizes. I was really confused because a medium box is a medium box and I have EIGHT LESS than I previously stated. I told her that she totally scammed me, she gave me a nice estimate just to trap me and put my family and I in a situation where we have no choice but to pay. All she was doing is yelling and being rude so I decided to speak to her manger Kevrin. BIG MISTAKE!

The manager was extremely unhelpful. She could have cared less about my issues and just cared about reading the agreement word for word. I asked her to listen to the recorded call, she then put me on hold and did so. This is the shocking part! She then comes back and confirms that Suzie did in fact tell me it was ok to put things on the couch and I don’t have to put the mattress in a box AND then she says they don’t want my business and refuses to ship our items. She was obviously scared that her stuff got caught lying. We asked to speak to the owner (Roy Erhardt) and she refused to let us speak to him or to provide his email address. Yup! 24 hours before our flight she canceled our move. I told her I have two young children that will have no place to live if we don’t get on that plane and we have no family to store our stuff with. She said its not her problem and hung the phone on my face.
Please protect yourselves from this horrific excuse of a company. Also just to give you a better idea of our items, just 8 months ago we moved from MO to CA with double the amount of stuff we have now and we paid 1700. These ppl are total scammers! Listen to me and pretty much every other person on Yelp! My only other complaint is that yelp won’t let you give 0 stars!

  9. Please please pay extra attention to your inventory list.

Be super careful with their estimate and pay extra attention to your inventory list, be over accurate. My estimate grew from $4.1k to $23.5k, because I added a TV, two arm chairs, a lamp, 10 picture frames, 3 small cubes, a big box and app 20 more medium boxes - in total not more than 20% more in volume. I could not agree on the phone with their customer manager, who send them back home without our stuff. Very disappointing experience, after having really good experiences with other international moving companies for several job relocations.

  10. Worst experience ever!!

Horrible service, no accountability, no follow up. Paid way too much and ended up receiving 90% of my items damaged and wet and a day late. They work with contractors who are not professional and do not care. they say they will reassemble the furniture they disassembled- but that seems to be a scam. The pick up folks charge you for packaging and wrapping which as stated by the delivering driver is not the right packaging. My items looked like they were ready for the garbage. Also, they brought in someone else's items!! I paid almost 6k total which was more than twice as much as what was quoted. Get yourself a reputable professional company even if it cost more. Save yourself time, money and stress.

  11. Horrific Experience.

Absolute worst moving experience of my life. Movers were supposed to come Thur, never showed up, supposed to then come Friday, never showed up, and then finally when they showed up on Sat morning, the original quote was under half what they quoted upon seeing what was needed to be moved. Although we gave them a detailed list, which he had in his hand. Then any piece of furniture they take, they charge an extra $80 because they "have to" wrap it. Even a small side table or shoe rack. Then they will not tell you where your stuff is, or when it will be delievered. They say usually 10 business days from the date you ask for, but there is a good chance (30% is what they will tell you) that it will longer than that, and by how much you may ask? They have no clue! I waited 20 extra days for my stuff to be deliverered, all while sleeping on a air mattress, and then they called the day before to tell me my stuff was being delivered the next morning at 7am, while I was on my only vacation of the summer 5 hours away, on day 2 of a 4 day trip meaning, I had to drive back in the middle of the night, and missed over half my vacation.

And upon delivery more "fees" and since they already have all your money, they just want to add insult to injury and get a few more bucks out of you, when you are at your wits end.

WORST EXPERIENCE. They are SCAM artists and ruined the exciting experience of moving for me. Use anyone else!

  12. Terrible.

The move was suppose to be picked-up on June 29 or 30 but they were not able to make it until July1 but that was the day the new renter took over so we had to pay extra since they were late. The move was to deliver on July 10th but we are still waiting for the delivery in Charlotte. We are suppose to go on vacation starting July 29th but what can we do since the vacation spot is over a 5 hour away and no one will tell us when we will be getting our belongings will deliver and it is already 15 working days late. Do we go and risk having to leave the first day of a paid vacation. Will I be starting teaching and not having my clothes? It is July 29th and it is now a month since this nightmare started.

  13. Touch of Class Movers no-showed and never refunded my deposit.

My husband set up moving service from California to Texas through Touch of Class Movers (TOCM). TOCM required a deposit to schedule the moving service so a 10% deposit was made 6/26/17 and the moving date/time was set for Friday, 6/30/17 between 9am-2pm. The movers never showed up and upon calling TOCM's phone number multiple times that day, we were only given excuses for delays in showing up. We were assured the movers were on their way, only delayed - citing parking issues with clients prior to us in the day. In their contract drawn up for their customers, the company claims that if they are not provided with sufficient parking for their trucks, that client will be skipped. If that's the case, I'm not sure why they would delay the rest of the day's clients for something like that. Then another excuse we were given another time we called was traffic. We were only told of the delays when WE called Touch of Class Movers. Never were we given any notice of this on TOCM's time. They finally told us that the movers would show up by 8pm and not to our surprise, they never showed. They also said that IF the movers did not show that night (how they would not know for sure, I do not know), the movers would call us Sunday (7/2/17) to arrange a time to pick up our furniture that day. No one called us. That Friday night after the movers bailed on us, we wrote an email to the person at TOCM that had been emailing us beforehand, telling them how disappointed we were in having our move to Texas delayed because of them and demanded a refund. According to the company's website, Touch of Class Movers is not open on weekends (a moving company not open on weekends - go figure). We waited to hear from them the following Monday (7/3/17) but we got no call or email back from them. My husband ended up reaching out to them AGAIN to inquire when we should expect our refund and not only did we NOT get a single apology, we were told we'd be receiving a refund within 2-3 business days and have yet to be refunded now well over a week later. I'm afraid I have been scammed by these people and am looking into having my entire credit card number changed because I don't trust these people with my information. I just wanted my money back (an apology would be nice, too) so I could move on with my life and scramble to find another moving company last-minute without missing the money I paid to Touch of Class Movers. I fear other people have been scammed by Touch of Class Movers as well. A complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau and I recommend everyone else who has been wronged by Touch of Class Movers do the same.

  14. Horrible move.

I received a quote from Beau for our upcoming move from IL to FL. It was what we thought a great quote se we booked the move. After stating all of our furniture and being told that's a certain amount of cubic feet we were skeptical. I reached out to Beau numerous times worried that we definitely had way more than we were allotted in space, Beau assured me that he put it all in the system and we are fine with nothing to worry about. Moving day came and the foreman said here is your 892 cubic feet and we just laughed and said no way is our stuff fitting in there. After he started packing up and loading the truck the move cost then doubled and our worst nightmare had come true. my $3200 move now costs me $7700. Not only did the price double they are now holding my belongings hostage. I put on my paperwork for the first available date for delivery on 7/05/17. I never heard from dispatch the 24 hours before so I started calling in and was then told by the office manager that its a 5-10 period from that first date of delivery for your good to arrive. This company has loaded my house up on 06/28/17 and its 07/10/17 and I still have no furniture and not one single person can give me any information on when my stuff will be delivered. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have terrible customer service and holds your things hostage for no reason.

  15. Do not use Touch of Class!

I had several companies contact me regarding my move and I went with Touch of Xlaaa because the rep, Suzie, seemed friendly and honest. I was wrong. My final price doubled from the quote given and I was charged over $200 in tape! When I spoke to the office manager Catherine, all I basically got was that it was my fault. With the price and horrible customer service, I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Pay the higher price and get a reputable moving company!
