Scam Artists.
Complete scam artists. They used a fraudulent broker (JB HUNT MOVERS who misrepresented themselves as the national freight company) to get my business in the first place. They now have everything I own plus most of the payment (they insist on cash, huge red flag). I have been calling them every day for two months now to arrange final delivery, nobody answers the phone or returns my calls. The only person I have ever talked to in the entire company was the driver who picked up my stuff and is now holding it hostage who will occasionally answer a text message with empty promises.
Less than 1 star if possible.
Worst moving experience ever!! Their driver totaled the truck and I lost 95% of all of my belongings. He was cited by the FL Highway Patrol for reckless driving. This happened on July 3rd and I've not heard a word from anyone despite texts, phone calls to mover, and to the company number. I have received 3 texts to tell me there was a wreck, where the tow truck took stuff, and that they were waiting on insurance. one of the movers had packed my glass curio cabinet with the glass shelves still in it!! Lazy and incompetent - there are a couple that are great at what they do but it is minimized by the others!!
US Atlas & TR Moving Systems.
WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER !! US Atlas (broker) was secured on 6/21/18 about moving furniture from MD to FL. Total cost for move was approximately $3,700. US Atlas secured TR Moving Systems (moving company) to handle the job. Both the broker and the mover were advised that we’d like things to move as quickly as possible (i.e., within the next week or two). TR Movers called a few days later and a pickup date was scheduled for Saturday (6/30) between 8-10 am. Got a call from the movers on Friday night (6/29) at 8:00 pm stating that we had to reschedule “because of a carrier issue.” Rescheduled for Monday (7/2) between 8-10 am. On Monday morning got a call giving us a new pickup window between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Long story short – after a series of phone calls made to TR Movers as well as US Atlas, movers arrived at 4:30 pm. After furniture was loaded onto truck, driver was unable to give an estimated delivery date. Call was made to US Atlas who told me customers are informed within 48 hrs. after pickup about a delivery date. That didn’t happen. Was finally told by US Atlas (on 7/9/18) that the furniture would be leaving MD on Thursday (7/12). That didn’t happen. Delivery finally arrived in FL on Friday (7/27). Not quite the end of the story. On the day we hired US Atlas we asked if there would be any extra charges since the apt. was on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator. We were assured there would NOT be. When furniture finally arrived, the TR Mover driver did ask for extra pay before unloading the furniture because of the steps. I immediately called US Atlas and reminded them of that conversation. Was told they would pull the recording of that conversation and call me back. Evidently, they did since I never got a call back and the furniture was taken up to the apt. and set up.
Moving experience.
I second the comments from other customers. The moving day was a disaster. They knocked down tree branches when moving the truck close to my unit - even though they were asked not to. The original time for pick up was 8 - 12; they did not arrive until 8PM. I was charged an additional $600 at the time of pick up. Since then, no one can tell me where my shipment is. I did get in touch with Rene in Customer Service and did get an email address that indicated it would take 3 - 21 days to deliver my goods - but no indication of where the items were. This company was contracted out by US National Movers - who also does not know where my things are. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and a lawyer.
Scam !!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE! This company we contracted to move our stuff across the country they were scheduled to come Saturday we didn't hear anything about what time. Finally after we called them they said they would show up at our home to pack the truck 4-6pm that day. Well 6,7,8pm rolls around and no sign of the truck no phone call no one answering the phone. Technically they have the Sunday to also come but they still have not called. No one is answering the phone. This company is a SCAM!! They take your deposit and never come through! If you do choose to move through this company I hope you don't mind loosing your $1000 deposit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT IS A SCAM! Get POD instead a lot cheaper and they ship your goods faster without scumbag movers.
One of the Best Moves Ever!
In July TR sent 3 (Ray, Brandon and Paris) very qualified movers to my home. I've moved extensively internationally and statewide, by far this has been my very best move ever. From how carefully they wrapped my furniture to my tea cups you would have thought it was their personal household that was getting moved. Before they left, they made sure I understood all documentation, deliveries etc. They were in constant contact giving me updates as well as confirmation of delivery date and time. This was critical because someone else would be meeting the load and needed to commute to the delivery location. They made direct contact and arranged to call 1 hour prior to their arrival to ensure their presence.
If you get the chance to use this company I encourage you to request Ray, Brandon and Paris as your go-to guys.
Move was nightmare!!
Do Not Ever use this company(?) for anything.
Called for 10 days trying to get status of my move and left a message to call me back each time---no one ever returned any calls.
Finally driver calls saying he will be at my house in 20 minutes.
Also says he has nothing to do with TR Moving?? States he will
not unload truck unless I have cash or UPS money order.
He does not check tags on boxes and furniture as it unloads--say he knows what I have --unloads my stuff, does not put together tables, and other furniture that was taken apart for move back together, leaves sacks of packing tape in my driveway --says not his job to clean up. Leaves before I can check anything for damage.
He says just sign I am running late?? Found out later I am missing a hand truck, and box of car stuff.
BE WARNED--stay away from TR MOVING.
Don't use TR moving.
Never use this company and don't even consider it! The driver was late for picking up and he started to recruit the movers just after coming to my place. He kept raising the price after coming to my place and it ended up double the origin quote. I moved with my wife and two children. For every turn of the movement, he threatened my family for more money. Otherwise, he won't do the moving. We finished the movement until 2 am in the morning while my children were crying.
Warning do not use this moving company.
This had to be one of the worst and most stressful experiences of our lives.
Inadequate staffing inadequate materials poorly trained employees and a boss who is a con artist.
Our move ended up with a call to state police due to Tim (owner in the shadows) shutting down the unloading and refusing to release the remainder( And most expensive part) of our move, threatening additional costs..
Asking for more and more money at every turn. I cannot believe that there is a company like this in business heed the warning and do not ever use this company it has been a nightmare !!
Unprofessional Moving Company.
Affordable Moving subcontracted my move from Kansas to Texas. It was a nightmare as best it could be described. The driver instead of coming in at 9:00 a.m. showed up at 3:40 p.m. Never introduced himself. First he walks in, he wanted to use the bathroom. Next question, payment first!! Eventually negotiated to 50% of the payment. He leaves without telling where he is going. Next thing, I look out the window and see him recruiting my neighbors to help him pack my belongings. I also noticed that he wasn't walking properly, when asked he informed me that he received injury on previous job and he hasn't recovered. He let unprofessional start packing my belongings. Every step of the way, he was complaining that he has lots to pack. His boss, Tim kept calling him (don't know the reason), but Tim refused to speak to me under any circumstances. The driver informed me that packing material was not included in the cost (yet, in the proposal there's a charge for $135). I was charged extra $255. The proposal was revised to $2,839.37 from original price of $1,964. The driver asked me to sign a waiver indemnifying them from any responsibilities in case of damage. It was 9:00 p.m. when they finally finished uploading my belongings. There are at least 10% of the belongings that have not been tagged or documented. He informed me that I was "lucky he was picking up my stuff". NEVER AGAIN.
Tr Moving Systems.
We used a team of three movers from TR Moving Systems. They were polite, friendly, and efficient. I couldn't believe how fast they loaded and unloaded the moving truck, while being careful not to scratch the walls and floors with the furniture. I will definitely use TR Moving Systems the next time I move. Thanks guys, good job!!
