Don't use Tydans Moving!
Avoid this company. Things appear to be going ok and then they try to scam you. As you will see in other reviews, they pressure you to sign off on a form when they show up with the truck. That form has a blank spot where the amount they are charging you is supposed to go, but they don't fill it in until after they have your signature. In our case they filled it in to include 5 1/2 hours of driving time to go what takes 45 minutes to drive. When you call for an explanation the woman on the phone will give you the run around. Eventually we had to dispute the charges with our bank, and after months of letters and phone calls, the bank agreed not to have us pay the overage. Don't hire them and if you are in a pinch and use them, don't give them a signature on any form with blank lines.

Great work in a bad apartment flood.
My senior aunts building in Springfield Vermont has had a bad flood. Tydans company came to the rescue fast wwhen the first floor seniors were all displaced and needed rescue. They got everyone to other apartments (some are in other buildings around town). We had all our bare necessities, oxygen, hospital beds, toaster, microwave, some dishes and more, on the same day. Packing up and sorting flooded stuff in these cold flooded apartments has been a very hard job but they are organized and polite to the people. They are doing great work in a flood. God Bless the men and women who took good care of the first floor seniors at whitcolm building in Springfield, VT this week. When we move we will use this company.
In Snow and Cold weather.
Historical deep snow and cold temps made our move seem like it would be impossible. The way this company handled our move was incredible. Starting with a free estimate on the same day I called. The roads and driveway were so narrow and snow burdened. i confess, we were not nearly ready to move and had run out of time.
They had us completely packed and moved within the week.
I wanted to let people know who to use for good movers in Vermont.

Tydans Moving did a great job moving us.
From the first phone call we were impressed. We could tell that they knew what they were doing. We were very impressed with the knowledge and the planning which went into our move. The men were polite and experienced. They carried our biggest heavy armior upstairs as if it were a childs size. The overall price was on target. The estimator said about $2,500.00 and we had added a few things.. (Like a new refrigerator) We had purchased a few more things in anticipation of the bigger new home and it was fine with them. Also, we unexpectedly were in need of some short term storage and they helped us figure that out as well. A very secure local facility nearby was quickly arranged. The move went well.
The final price was $2,650.00 - Definately right on target as far as we were concerned.
Throughout the 2 day move each issue we had was made simple and handled well.
Nothing was broken or damaged.
We will use Tydans Moving again.
