  1. Terrible experience

    Liars, unsympathetic - said they were not brokers, turned out to be brokers. Spent thousands of dollars on a cross country move booked 8 months in advance. Told that the company they hired was known to break stuff and “misplace” items. We lost 25% of our items - they had no information, no contact for the other company, no resolution, no willingness to help us find our property. Disrespectful and ignorant of their own contracts. I will be suing.

  2. The good reviews must be fake

    This "company" needs to be penalized, fined, and put out of business ASAP. I have contacted the BBB regarding their questionable practices but suffice it to say my entire three bedroom move was stolen. No sign of the truck or the movers who came out to the unit. It is just gone. And what is worse, this company charges you money just to find another group you still have to pay! Disgusting and dishonest group of people, if you can even call them that. I had things in there from my husband who passed away that thanks to this POS company I will never see again. Save yourself the heartache and the trouble and DO NOT use this so called company!! If they read this, I hope your conscience finds you. God will take care of you and yours regardless.

  3. Worst experience I have ever had

    Everything is a lie. Jeffery Thomas lied about move lied to police, said they were hacked and never booked us. They lied a half dozen times about delivery dates. Said they were a moving company and they are brokers who hire the shit cheap movers they can find. It took 3 months to get our stuff delivered and half of the tubs and boxes were crushed and damaged. Some were destroyed and our stuff missing. We had a mattress, dresser, desk, lawn mower and several other pieces missing. 3 tables and several pieces of furniture, 50" plasma tv and new laptop were damaged. Never answer the phone or return calls. Will only give you .60 cents a pound for missing items. Whole move cot $10000.

  4. Scam !

    I was scheduled to move on Sept 6th. I spoke with a representative named Melissa & she explained that I would have a virtual walk through on Sept 3rd. That walk through never happened.. instead two days before my move date I received a text message from Mike asking if I needed to add any additional items. I told him that I needed to add a medium towel cabinet. He told me I was originally quoted for 2002 lbs and he adjusted the weight to 3346 lbs which inflating the cost if my move from $2150 to $4133. So he's claiming my cabinet weighs 1324 pounds ? That's ridiculous. I put the cabinet in the back of my car by myself. It doesn't weight 70 pounds. This company is rated F on the bbb. I see why. All of the unhappy customers are not wrong. 

  5. Bait and switch

    Hired for a move with a large Binding Estimate Fee. The day of the move (2 days late and having to pay fees to my rental) the third party movers since that fee didn’t matter and had to pay based on cubic footage. Was forced to pay $10,500 over the quote from the company. I have received no response back to calls or emails and was hung up on many times. I want a check for the overage I was forced to pay.

  6. Double the price in quote

    Quoted over the phone for a move from Rosemont Illinois to cape coral, FL. For $2495. Had less items than was quoted and the price was doubled upon the movers showing up a day early. You lose your deposit because of this also. Do not do business with this company.

  7. Do not fall for their scam!

    Please read all the 1-star google and BBB F rating reviews before you decide to hire this company. They are a brokerage company and takes no accountabilities. I arranged my move from NJ to Texas back last April. At the time many of the reviews seem positive and even with all the recent negative reviews, the ranking is still somehow 3.9/4.

    All experiences have similar patterns. The person who initially reserved my order was extremely friendly and quoted me $4803.72 for my move after a $1500 discount. He then offered me 30 days of free storage because he claimed that my items would be delivered in few days and I was uncertain if I could drive to Texas that quickly. I insisted that I did not need 30 days but maybe a day or 2 but he said it was free of charge and put that on my order. I thought nothing of it at the time because he was so friendly but apparently, this is how they buy time with delivery delays. The estimated delivery date was 7/4.

    On 6/24th, instead of US Standard movers, another vendor came demanded cash for the part payment, and picked up my stuff. They also charged me another $1400 claiming that I had more stuff even though the additional items were a few more boxes and bags. Because I had to move and had no backup arrangements I paid the movers another $2190 from my initial $1698 deposit.

    Fast forward today is 8/2 and it turns out my stuff hasn't even left NJ. They claim to be short on drivers and for the last few weeks, they claim my order will be shipped with the next delivery but can't provide me with any time frame. Based on the previous reviews there are people who did not get their order for almost 4 months and some still waiting. Like many of the other google reviews, it is impossible to get a hold of anyone at the company and the agents will just hang up numerous times before you can get anyone to stay on the phone for a status update.

    I have filed a claim with NJ consumer affairs, Attorney General's office, fmcsa, and BBB. I also filed a dispute with my credit company and my bank.

    There are already numerous claims against this company. Do yourself a favor and rent a Uhaul truck if need be because otherwise, it may be months before you see your belongings or if at all.

  8. Absolutly horrible experience - run, don't walk from this business!

    Zero stars of of 5! I would NOT, I repeat, I would NOT ever contract with US Standard Moving. I did a ton of research and made a lot of phone calls before deciding to work with US Standard Moving – worst decision I have made in a long time. I called US Standard Moving on April 1, 2021 (maybe that was the first mistake as it was April Fool’s Day – I sure feel like a fool for working with this company). Anyway, on April 1 I spoke with Sam, an assertive salesman who said all the right things and gave me a quote I could work with. My parents are elderly and I was helping them with a move from Seattle, WA to Denver, CO. My parents are moving to Germany and they wanted to send their bedroom furniture and a few other pieces of furniture and about 20 boxes to my son in Colorado (he just bought a new house and was excited to receive the furnishings). I told Sam that we needed the moving truck to come pick up the items on July 7 and he said no problem. I paid a deposit and never heard a word from the company until about 4 days prior to the move. I received a text from a Mike on July 3 stating he was from “quality assurance” and would be calling soon to go over the inventory list and scheduling the move. I finally spoke to Mike on July 5th (just 2 days before the move). We went over the inventory list and he said he’d call me back in 5 minutes with final cost as we did add a few more items. An hour later, I get a text from Mike with a quote of almost double the original price! I was planning to fly to Seattle from Denver on July 6 to be with my parents for the move on July 7th, so rather than argue about the cost with Mike, I decided to wait until the foreman arrived to re-assess some of the items. I sent an additional deposit based on the new quote and waited to hear back from customer service with the time window of when the movers would arrive. We had to alert the condo mgmt. of the window so they could pad the elevators, etc. My sister always traveled from San Jose, CA to Seattle to help make sure all went goes well. I started to get worried when I did not hear back from US Standard. I texted Mike, I called customer service and they just kept saying they would call me between 4pm and 6pm EST on July 6 with ETA for movers to arrive on July 7th. I landed in Seattle July 6 at 10:30am and kept hope that I’d hear from US Standard. At 4:30pm EST, I get a call from US Standard Moving company asking me how “flexible” I am with the moving dates. I told the rep that I was not flexible, I had traveled a long way, my parents had to get the stuff out of their condo to get ready to move to Denver. She then said, well I’m sorry we have to cancel the order. I was in complete disbelief!! I asked her why and she said they could not find any movers. What upsets me the most is that I explained in great detail that my sister and I would be traveling to Seattle, that the date needed to be firm and was told no problem. How can a company take more money 4 days before a move knowing they had no one lined up to move the furniture? This has been a nightmare for us. We ended up taking 20 boxes of nice kitchenware, bedding and items that were sentimental to our family to Goodwill. We had to pay another company to come and haul the furniture away because we could not find another company with such last minute notice. My son now has to buy bedroom furniture – he was sleeping on the floor waiting for a bed, dressers, night stands, etc. Do not contract with US Standard Moving – I promise something will go wrong!

  9. BEWARE!

    US Standard Moving Storage standards are underground! They say they're mission is honest, loyal and ethical business practices, none of this is the truth! I specifically asked Marc Kaye on our initial call was he a broker or carrier moving company he vehemently said they were the carriers, that was the first lie. He came across efficient and professional, that's what he's good at lying! Because he's a good liar I never looked at the reviews which are as horrible! After the "72 hours" I learned they weren't the carriers and they no nothing about where or what the drivers are doing with your property, when I learned this information Marc Kaye refused to return my calls or texts, they tell you you have a 45 days storage free but they have no clue where this storage unit is located, no address or phone could be provided, I was told by customer service that I would have to wait until the day the driver of the truck showed up to get that information, ridiculous! Fast forward I learned to truth these people have no fleet of trucks, no drivers, they sit in a Wells Fargo building misleading consumers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They aren't honest, they are not loyal, they don't operate in good faith and they don't care about customer service. They literally stole $1,200.00 dollars and they never moved one thing! BEWARE OF US STANDARD they don't have STANDARDS!

  10. Long distance move from Wisconsin to Washington

    I contracted with them at the end of April for June 18th. They contacted me yesterday that they did not have a truck in my area and cancelled my move with them. They said they are refunding my money but I have to be out by this weekend and have had to scramble for a different option. Very dissatisfied with them and how they handled this.

    2nd time I've used them, the service very good and reliable. The very nice and helpful driver, everything perfectly on time. Would definitely use it again in the future. Thank you, Gabriel, driver, and U.S. Standard Moving!

  12. Poor Communication and Customer Service, Too Many Companies involved

    I thought I was hiring Budget Van Lines but ended up dealing with US Standard Moving and Storage. Once my furniture was picked up by another company (RoadRunners) that was contracted out, they tried to charge me more money even though Mike Spencer, from US Standard and Moving, assured me my inventory was within the price quoted. No one seemed to be able to tell me when my furniture would arrive to the destination and they went so far as to tell me they didn't even have a driver for my furniture. We had to keep calling them for updates because no one ever called us to tell us anything. Several people had reached out to me before the move (Dennis Nowlen and Mike Spencer) but when I tried to call them back with questions and concerns, no one answered or returned my phone calls. Needless to say, I received my furniture after the date I was told. My recommendation - DO YOUR RESEARCH AND KNOW EXACTLY YOU ARE HIRING TO DO YOUR MOVE.

    The two guys that made our move were fantastic. No-fuss, no quibbles. Great attitude, really friendly, courteous and sometimes funny too. I Will recommend U.S. Standard Moving to anyone who wants a hassle-free service.

    The best moving company I've used. Ease of use and price plus great communication made it 5 stars plus. George and Glenn were very professional and nice guys. A pleasure to deal with. Would recommend using them!
