  1. Cost was way off.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We worked for weeks ensuring the estimate was correct for the move, but when Benny showed up, the cost was almost 50% higher. He could not explain why his volume was calculated so much higher than what was quoted. Ashley, at the company, told us all moving companies use the same algorithm to estimate cost. If that's true, this was clearly a shake-down. Nothing was over sized or not accounted for. We were forced to leave some items behind, even though they were calculated in the estimate.

    Extremely disappointed.

  2. Moved from NY to GA.

    Got an estimate from United National Movers for $3,500. We ended up paying $8,768.26. We were told that they are an independent company -- no middle man. (This was a 3-bedroom house, but only 2 bedrooms were furnished.) However,on April 4, 2018, when the truck came to pick up our belongings (the day before we closed on the sale of our house), movers told us that we had too many boxes. The guy in charge took our boxes -- 3 or 4 at a time -- and placed them in over-sized boxes that he had for which he charged us $25 each, refused to take certain items and even suggested that we leave some behind because he said "you can purchase them cheaper when you get to Georgia." When the truck came to deliver our belongs at our Georgia address, they refused to unload the truck until they received the balance of payment in cash. In going through our belongings, we realized that various items are damaged and several are missing. We have made several phone calls and sent letters to the company but have yet to get a reply from them.
