[NAME EDIT] and Up Down Moving are scammers
We hired [NAME EDIT] and his company, UpDown Moving, to move our household from MO to NM. It was a complete nightmare. They broke or lost over $1500 worth of stuff, and counting. They paid no attention at all to Fragile stickers or requests to be careful.
But beyond the fact that they are careless and disrespectful movers, they are thieves and scammers.
We gave them a check before we left, then once out of town they said it couldn't be cashed. By then we felt held hostage and did their venmo request, with the agreement they wouldn't cash the check. Of course they did, and lied about it.
Stay away from [NAME EDIT] and UpDown Moving, also called Up Down moving.
Beyond the fact that they seem unable to move a box across the room without breaking something, they are liars, scammers and thieves. We've reported them to the BBB and MO Attorney General.
