  1. Vega Line Movers

If I had to sum up our moving experience with Vega Line Moving in one word it would be abysmal. Zero stars out of five!

Vega Line Moving are located at #104 3870 Jacombs Rd. in Richmond B.C. and also seem to use the name Easy Way To Move. They are a totally unprofessional, irresponsible, and disreputable company. DO NOT hire them under any circumstances.

We hired this company assuming we were dealing with Easy Way To Move. In an email they sent us, as well as in their advertising they 100% guaranteed that all furniture would be covered and protected during transit. I could not find too much negative about Easy Way To Move so we hired them for a move from Edmonton to Northern Ontario.

That started what would become a painful experience that has cost my wife and I a great deal financially and emotionally. To receive the dismal service we did, and our treatment afterwards by this company is unspeakable.

Easy Way To Move which we later discovered was in fact Vega Line Moving were to pick our stuff up February 27 between 4 and 8. They did not show up until 0830 the next day.

The truck, that showed up was nearly half full and I did not foresee him getting all our stuff in that truck. At first the driver said he was going to rent a U-Haul to cover us, but that did not happen.

The driver then assured us that he will rearrange and reload his truck and get all our stuff on. Trusting that this guy knew what he was doing turned out to be a huge mistake on my part, and so the loading began. Almost immediately my wife asked about covering the furniture, to which the driver replied, “we cover in truck, we cover in truck”. As it turned out, the only furniture that was covered were both TV’s and the TV stand (which is one of the things missing). None of our dining room or living room furniture was protected in any way! The whole process took over 10 hours!!! During this time, the truck was rearranged and reloaded at least half a dozen times.

In the end, not only were they unable to fit all our stuff, they had to leave several items at our house to be picked up the following day. As we were leaving for Ontario immediately following the pickup, we were put in a position of having to impose on someone else to be there when the driver came back. He did return but left behind two round Rubbermaid barrels of garden things that we were promised would be picked up, and never were.

Our goods did not arrive in Ontario until March 26 a full month after pick up. When we saw the condition of our furniture and other items we were devastated. Our dining room table, all the chairs, living room tables, and an office desk damaged so badly they are unusable. A china cabinet that is a family heirloom and had never moved now has a big gouge in the side. The 100% guarantee of having all furniture covered and protected is an outright lie and is in fact misleading advertising. There were numerous other damages and they lost our TV stand and a good video camera in a road case. It was clear that no care at all was exercised in the moving of our stuff.

We filed a detailed claim with the company on April 03. They stopped communicating with us on April 30, some four months ago. There has been no attempt made to settle our claim, or to locate our lost items. This company has never acknowledged any responsibility for the damages they caused.

My wife and I have suffered a financial hit of over $3000 not to mention the emotional anguish we have endured because of this company. Clearly they don’t give a damn. I am a senior on a pension and cannot afford to pursue legal action so all I have at my disposal is to spread this review and to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, and the Attorney General of BC citing this company for shady business practices and false advertising.

I cannot state strongly enough, DO NOT hire this company, weather they are calling themselves Vega Line or Easy Way To Move. I do not want anyone else to have to go through what we did at the hands of this company.

  2. Theft and Extortion

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY. They also go by another name, Easy Way to Move. I just used this company to move my belongings from Toronto to British Columbia. They were unable to deliver on time, charged me $800 to ‘store the goods’, and then billed $400 for ‘packing’ (i.e. the two movers used my own bubble wrap to wrap a window). When I say that the situation became utterly negative, extortionate and explosive, I mean it. They refused to take my phone calls, phoned MY MOTHER (?!?) to say that I was ‘difficult’, and then threatened to not deliver my belongings unless I paid for services not rendered up front. This was full-blown theft and extortion. I am not exaggerating. Please protect yourselves.

  3. Poor service.

Cheated company ever .I didn’t recommend anyone..they are doing fraud in partner with cheapestway2move and real alberta moving service.

  4. Service? What service?

If you want late delivery, delayed responses, breakage, missing articles, and no reparation, by all means use this company. But if you want fair service and good response and reparation for damaged and missing goods, I’d use somebody else.

  5. Stay Away From Those Nonprofessional Company.

This is the worst Mover ever you can use, first of all they low balled me with the price so I go with them then they charged me more than 50% of the original price . On top of that they are so unprofessional on different level :

    - the mover who picked up my good did not use any moving blanket and did not care about my goods

    - the movers who delivered my goods didn't even bother to wait for me to validate my things and left the building without even care about my signature for delivery

    - their claim department does not care about clients and did not reply on emails

I had a terrible experience and I do not recommend this service even to my enemies. STAY AWAY FROM THOSE NONPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.

  6. Do not hire VegaLine (actually, they use: IMP, Interprovincial Moving).

I made the arrangement for a Moving from Toronto to Calgary. They told when I hire them it would take 2 weeks maximum.

39 days have passed, and we are still waiting for our things.

I called the company to ask the exact weight, to estimate the cost, and they only told me 'It was the estimated weight, a little bit more"

I asked for a delivery day, and I still got a "maybe this Thursday, but we will call you"

Finally, I got a weight of 1305 lbs (700 lbs lower than I previously told), and amount to pay of $1275 ($200 higher than I was told at the beginning, considering up to 2000 lbs) a deadline to pay before a specific day.. Even when I don't know when I'm going to get my stuff.

I asked compensation for all the money I had to expense getting where to sleep, where to cook, where to just sit down and eat, what to dress, etc. for more than a month. And their answer was "you can feel and contact whoever you want sir".

They don't even use the company name, they sell their services as IMP interprovincial Moving, and the representatives signs up their emails with no last name, like "Adam, J. IMP" or "Max. IMP".

Filed a complaint with the BBB - however, as mentioned in other reviews this company is not BBB accredited. Not surprisingly.

It is incredible how these types of companies are still allowed to operate in Canada.

So, be aware, do not fall in their tricky game.

    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

  7. Long Distance Moving.

Very good experience with Vega Line. They have very competitive rates. Very professional crew. I will use them again for my next move. I Recommend them.

  8. Do not use VegaLine Moving.

Moved from London, ON to Calgary, AB in July/August 2019. They tried to claim the shipment was 600lbs more than it was. A detailed list of each item and weight was prepared by myself prior to moving but after reading the awful reviews about this company. A detailed list of items, each box numbered, contents of box and exact weight. When the shipment arrived in Calgary they called and claimed it weighed in at 2100lbs in Ontario. I called to complain and the next day Adam called back and said the scale was wrong and it weighed only 1475lbs.
The movers arrived hours late on the day of delivery, would not lift a finger until they were given a tip in cash. ($25 each for 45 min of work unloading the truck). Then two boxes are missing. I advised the movers right away and they said "take it up with the office". Called the office the same day and left a voicemail detailing the box numbers, weight and contents. Got an email back with simply a claims email address. Emailed them every week with no response regarding the claim or location of the boxes. As of today, 2+ months later, I have no resolution, no reimbursement nor the boxes that were lost. Filed a complaint with the BBB - however this company is not BBB accredited. (Big surprise there).

  9. Very Very Disappointed.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, THEY PROMISED DELIVERY AND NEVER SHOWED UP. WHEN WE CALLED IN THEY SAID THAT THE DRIVER HAD ISSUES AT THE BORDER AND HAD TO GET BACK TO VANCOUVER. WHEN ASKED WHY THEY DID NOT CALL US TO TELL US AND WHY THEY DO NOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY NUMBER, THE OWNER WAS RUDE AND PRACTICALLY TOLD US TO GO AWAY! WE MOVED OUR THINGS OUT OF THE WAREHOUSE AND EVEN THOUGH ENDED UP PAYING A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO ANOTHER MOVER WE DID NOT CARE AS WE READ THE REVIEWS AFTER AND DID NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE.

  10. Move from Toronto to Vancouver.

Vega line is the worst company (not just among the moving companies) that I have ever dealt with. They have hired a bunch of liars and actors in their customer service. They steal your items and overcharge you. DO NOT trust them.
We had a few boxes to be moved from Toronto to Richmond in December 2018. Although the boxes were clearly labelled as fragile, we found a few broken items when we received them. We didn't care about this, but there was a box missing, which was a laser printer, so we definitely wanted it back.
Also, they were overcharging us with $180 more than their original quote. In their original quote, they had clearly mentioned that their quote includes the fuel surcharge, warehouse handling and the scale fee, but they still charged us for all of these. The mover wouldn't deliver our items without receiving the whole payment. He said that we could deal with the company later about the overcharging and the missing box. I emailed the "customer relations" THREE times (once a month) about this and they never responded. I also called them more than 10 times and each time a new person would "apologize" for the inconvenience and promised that they would locate the item and would reimburse us for the overcharges "by the end of the week", again nothing happened! I was only able to talk to the original contact person once, but after that he was either at lunch (at 9AM in the morning!!) or he wasn't at his desk or he was on vacation and that's how I ended up talking to literally 10 different people. Now after 4 months, no one from the company has contacted us yet.
I'm now filing complaints against them with FMCSA and BBB. I suggest all of the people who have been scammed by them, do the same. I'm surprised how they are allowed to have their "business" in Canada. Please do not trust them. There are many other good moving companies out there. Vega line is NOT one of them.

  11. Horrible customer service.

I booked an item to be picked up Feb 11 and was quoted 10-15 days with winter conditions which I was totally okay with. On Feb 27 I called to get an update after no one was replying to emails and it was still sitting in Ontario and I was never informed. This is 16 days later. I continued calling for updates then it FINALLY left Ontario to Calgary on March 6!! Almost a month after the day it was picked up. I talked to several different people for answers and said I want a discounted price from the $500 for waiting so long. They agreed until the delivery guy shows up today March 16!! and there's no discount. He called the office and asked and all they said was take of 5%!! $45!! My husband then spoke on the phone and they would only budge to $70 off! Horrible service and never straight forward with their answers. Do not trust them with your money.

  12. Do not use this company.

To use this company would probably be the worst decision you could make. They are dishonest and corrupt. They will try and overcharge you, or add on charges, they "lose" your expensive items, and offer little in return even if you buy insurance. Stay away from this company, I cannot stress this enough. I am pretty sure that the good reviews on here are either written themselves or by friends.

  13. Bunch of scammers who intimidated my wife. AVOID!

This company was subcontracted by the broker who handled my move. Besides doubling the rate that I was quoted, the two men who showed up were aggressive, loud (yelling back and forth to each other in an unknown language), and careless (I witnessed over stacked dollies topple).

I am now engaging a lawyer and the police. If you contract with a company, make sure they do not subcontract the work to these criminals. If there is a 5 star positive review, you can bet it was written by them.

  14. Great movers.

Great service! Moved from Toronto to Vancouver and Sam was very helpful. The price he quoted me at was very accurate to the price I paid after my move. Nothing broken or damaged since everything was expertly wrapped. I could not have been happier! Highly recommend Vega Line Moving.

  15. Horrible do Not Use I Repeat do Not Use.

I do not know where to even begin with VegaLine Moving. The one positive experience was the original pick-up driver; he was very polite and helpful. Everything from this point forward was AWFUL. Please do not be like me and read the bad reviews and decide to go with them anyways because YOU WILL BE SO DISAPPOINTED. I was overcharged significantly and when charges were questioned to sales representative Adam, he refused to let me speak with a manager for 3 days of me consistently calling. When I finally spoke with manager Sam, after laughing at me and belittling me he finally agreed that the price was wrong; yet, would not give me an explanation of where the mistake was made (clearly they over charge in hopes that no one does the math themselves). If you do go with this company calculate the costs based on the weight that you are given yourself, do not trust that they have done this correctly. Secondly, I knew that there is no way that the weight they came back with was correct, and when I asked for a break-down of the weighted items the manager threw an arbitrary weight at me that was between what I estimated it came to and what they said it came to and asked if "this was fair". Had they actually weighed my stuff, there is no way that they would have just thrown an arbitrary weight out to "make me happy". I now have missing items and was told to send an email and wait 8-12 business days, which I did (much to my lack of patience at this point). I followed up after 14 business days and was told that they never received my email and had not even looked at my claim. In summary: SCAMMERS, LIERS, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, AND SOOO NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE.
