  1. They steal from you

They lose my 85inc tv they move me from Indiana to Texas charge 7,000 they lie how much I had to pay. Was late picking my stuff up.. I have receipt and pictures of damage stuff. They insurance company just wanna give me $50.00 oh no I am not taking that. I am looking for a lawyer now.

  2. Looks like Vintage Van Lines is FRAUD

Looks like Vintage Van Lines (vintagevanlines.com) is absolutely a FRAUD and FAKE company. They have taken $750 from me as advance for moving service on 15th July 2021. They have not provided the service on 30th July 2021 and they sent a mail of service failure mentioning they will return the money with in 15 days. But even after repeated request/plea over phone/email, they have not returned the money.

How I can get back my money??

How they can be taught a lesson so that nobody else fall under their trap??

  3. Steals your money

Please don’t go through this company! In July, I scheduled an out of state move for August. I was told if I canceled within the appropriate timeframe, I’d receive a refund minus 10 percent. When I canceled the same exact day, customer service told me I didn’t cancel in time & wouldn’t be eligible for a refund. I contacted my original representative & he corrected their mistake. I was emailed by CS stating that I would receive my refund within 7 to 14 business days. That was on July 20th and I waited, but still did not get it. When I contacted them again, I was told they’d mail me a check to my new address. It’s now been over 2 months & I still have not gotten my refund. It’s absolutely ridiculous that I canceled only a few hours after signing the contract & they tried to say I did not cancel in time. It’s ridiculous that even after that issue was resolved & they sent me an email confirming I’d receive my refund, I still haven’t gotten my money back. This company is not good! Please avoid.

  4. Fraud

Ok. My opinion on Vintages response is in misbelief. From the information I have received from other individuals and the reviews I have seen, this moving company is basically a scam and trying to get away from handling their responsibilities to their customers. You rely on people to come through for you in unexpected circumstances. I must admit after I spoke to a "broker" and found out through other people, that this company was a scam. I'm very glad I did not follow through with the transaction. Added fees would have been expected from the customer for extra fees. Gastly. Really? Unfortunate.

Don't give me the crap about the pandemic or your computers not working appropriately. Totally inappropriate. You r a business no matter what.

I was hung up on probably 5-6 times within 10 minutes when I tried to get my refund. I was told by one person I was not going to receive a refund. I went ballistic. Not ok. Not ok.

You r scammers. You should not be able to scam people. Your reviews tell me you r making money off of unfortunate people for your own gain, satisfaction. If I ever have to deal with this issue again, I will definitely not recommend this company. It has been over 2 months since my original transaction and then requesting a refund for my deposit. I have not yet received it. Absurd!!!!!! No one that is legit would do this. I should have known better when I was trying to help my daughter to move back to Oregon from San Antonio and knowing this company is from Florida. Stupid. I was an idiot. Don't go there, please. I just want my deposit back. 2 months or more approximately and no refund. Pandemic? No excuse. Computer problems. No excuse after 2 months or more. Communication is also key. No communication unless I pursued it. There are people out there more vulnerable and gullible than I that don't speak up.

Pay me back. Pay me back. That's all I ask. Believe me, you scammers will not get away with this. You pretend to be legit. Haha.

    Shame on you

  5. A Brokered move?

    Vintage Van Lines Review

Let me start with they are a broker only, they move nothing, they just put your ‘move’ out to bid etc. I knew this a little too late to change it. The actual moving company that was hired will be dealt with separately. There is a legitimate function in what they do, so I am not upset with the broker aspect as they serve a purpose.

First, they did not have the ‘amount’ of items correct through a facetime walkthrough. This I could understand and I called them and added things they missed. Books, I have lots of them and they had 2 boxes. I called and corrected this and told them it was about ¾ of a semi load. I have moved a lot, so I have an idea of what it would take. I have to do bids, and even with the changes that I made they were still way too low. They use a ‘cubic feet’ method and I have always been billed as a ‘total weight’ thing. This is part of the game they play, it is their business model. Underestimate, and then the moving company that is hired can deal with the actual customer the day they show up.

The day of the move, the actual moving company said that there was more to move than their bid. This is by design I am convinced. You need to move 1000+ miles and you have a schedule to keep and you are stuck. In my case I could do nothing about it but pay the difference (1/3 higher). I will however give the actual moving company some slack as it ended up being about where I had said it would be, ¾ of a Semi load, which is what they came up with. This did not help my bid price one iota.

Once you give Vintage your deposit, they are done. They knew the date and yet the moving company was 2 days late getting there to pack and had to make it two days as the truck was too small because they were told it was a smaller load. I will deal with my interactions with this company (US Best Movers) in a later review on their review site. This is not completed yet, I have my items but there was damage and I want to see how they deal with this.

For now, Vintage Van lines, no matter how you slice it, legal or not is not a company I would not recommend and in all honesty cannot see how they can have such good reviews (the reason we chose them). Once locked in, I did more digging and realized I could be in deep trouble but time was not on my side, so I had to go with it.

I have used in the past United, Allied, North American, & Atlas Van lines. Sure there were small issues with them but they pale in comparison to what Vintage Van Lines did. I have to this point never filed a claim to a moving company, so that gives one an idea of how bad this experience was. I have moved large distances 5 times now and this was by far the worst experience I have had.

Moving is stressful and in this case it was quick so I did not have time to get proper vetting. So if you are reading this and considering using them, I would pass. The reviews have to be manipulated on the standard google searches but it is a bad sign that the first thing to pop up is the BBB site. Heed the warnings you read. Do they have honest good reviews? I cannot say, but mine sure is not one of them.

They will tell you what you want to hear but once that deposit is made, all bets are off.

If you have the time, read through all of the reviews and take heed of the consistent things you read in the bad ones. That is a clue to what really happens.

In the end, they are only a broker that gets paid to find a moving company, nothing more. Expect no attempt at trying to make a loyal customer. It is not in their business model, of this I can assure you. They will not even return phone calls from the salesperson that setup your job. You are given another number and all you get is lip service at that point. I stopped dealing with them the day the actual movers came to pack and load my house. I was in a bind and I knew it.

In the future, I will deal with the national movers. They worry about their reputation, Vintage Van Line obviously does not.

  6. Fraud

This company stole 1140 from me took a deposit never did my move cancelled day before and never return my money weel after week said my check was being processed and then mailed . I have never received. Olivia Patrick all these people are stealing money never returning or picking up this is a fraud and I will be filing a police report and complaint with FMCA is anyone else would like to join together to stop this fraud company please contact me at barbarulojoelle@gmail.com

  7. They take your deposit and don’t provide service

They will promise the world, take your deposit and never provide a service. Get the run around for weeks and months trying to get your deposit back. I’m going to end up filing a civil suit against them out of principle. If you research What they are doing its a form of interstate fraud and almost a ponzi scheme.

  8. Wish I could give them 0 stars

In April I booked Vintage Van lines to handle my move across the country. They assured me that it was booked, took my deposit, and then took a best primary date for them to come, as well as a back up date (which was the day after the primary). When the primary date came, they did not, and provided no information when I called. They then told me that the *next* two days they would come. Again, they did not come, on either day. At approximately 7pm of the third (non-original) day, I get an email saying they're not coming and will refund me. They then proceeded to NOT refund me, despite me calling multiple times, and never answered my emails. They finally refunded me after I sent my credit card company after them.

  9. Anyone interested in a Class Action Lawsuit contact me.

I got scammed and hoping others don't. I just heard a horrible story of a single mom they have completely scammed. I am out "only" $930 but some are getting scammed for $1,000's. If you got cheated by these guys in any way please reach out. We are getting a class action lawsuit going.

  10. All you need to do is go to BBB and see the scam they are running

  11. SCAM & FRAUDS

Horrible deceptive criminal organization. DO NOT USE! They literally steal people's deposits and cancel the job the day of. You will NEVER GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER as to where your deposit is after they cancel your move the day of. They are a nasty nightmare of a fraudulent organization. Just research DOT complaints, BBB complaints, Google & Yelp...nasty, fraudulent company and literally thieves.

  12. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY

A move from VA to DE ended up costing $8000, only filling up 1500 cubic feet of a Penske truck.

They were great out of the gates, with a lower quote than others, and a military discount but I had an uneasy feeling when I felt railroaded into paying a deposit right then and there via Zelle.

They called a few nights before to check the inventory and the original 581 cu.ft. was upped to 684 and was again told to pay $600 right then.

The movers (subcontracted to Revolution Van Lines) arrived on a Friday night at 6pm when, if I had any issues, there was nobody I could reach out to.

The guy, who spoke very little English, took one look at the stuff to move, said it would take up 1500 cu. ft and suddenly, the move went from $3500 to $4424 to $8971.

I had no choice but to combine the pickup and delivery cash (no personal checks) fees, run out to am ATM and get another $500 to pay for just the pickup. If I didn't, the guys would have left and we had to move on that day.

I had to pay another $3095 upon delivery.

I called Vintage Van Lines to complain and was met with apathy.

They absolutely ripped off a veteran and they will do the same to you. Do not ever hire this company. They are awful.

  13. SCAM

I hired Vintage Van Lines (“VVL”) to move us from Texas to New York. We hired them at the end of June for a move to occur on July 28 or 29, per our contract. We put down a $1370 deposit. On July 26, the company called to confirm our move and took an additional $500. On that date, VVL representative Sean Burns told us we would be called between 4-6pm on the 27th for the exact time the movers would be coming. At 7pm on the 27th (the day before we were supposed to move), I called VVL and was then informed that they could no longer service our move unless they could arrive August 5th. I was insulted, told we had no contract, and then offered a refund (to be given no later than 14 business days from July 27th). It is now August 16th and we have received no refund. The company is no longer taking my calls and is not responding to emails or texts.

  14. Worst…. Experience…. Ever

I apologize for the lengthy post, but I am very frustrated.

When I was originally quoted a moving estimate, with your Compny I was told it would be one price (I understand that this is an estimate so it’s supposed to be a ballpark price, not exact). Then when you called me to see if any items changed, the price increased (again, I added and removed some items, so this made sense). Then when the movers arrived, the price increased again. This time around $12,000! This one made less sense to me because I actually reduced some large items.

The movers didn’t inform me of this significant price increase until after they emptied the house and began loading the truck. What am I supposed to do at that point? I was in a position were I had to accept the increased charges.

Then, once the movers left, I examined the house and discovered dings, bangs and green marks were left all over the walls of the house. The movers also left boxes of tape and wrap that they wished to discard in the house. I was forced to clean the walls, paint the damage, and clean up after the movers.

As far as delivery goes, the head mover told me it could be delivered as early as 7/24/21 or 10 days from the move date. The move date was 7/18/21. That would put 10 day around 7/28/21.

Since the move day, I had heard nothing about the truck or a delivery date. So I emailed Vintage Van Lines 7/29/21 enquiring about an estimated delivery date. On 7/30/21, Sarah called me and left a voicemail informing me that it would be delivered by the end of the week. I received a call today (8/11/21) that the truck will be here this evening. I received no heads up and am forced to call out of work to meet the truck.

To add insult to injury, my wife called today to speak to a manager about the terrible experience we are having. She spoke to someone on the phone who called her a “bi——” and told her to “f—- off”.

This whole experience has been atrocious and if I could go back in time, I would have never used Vintage Van Lines.

  15. Worst Moving experience ever

We booked the movers 2 months in advance. They promised to pickup our items 2 days before our move. But, they never showed up or called to let us know the status. Then 2 days after, they cancelled our move and have not refunded our initial payment even after 3 weeks now. Want to give negative review for them. Planning to sue them as we still haven't found a different movers yet and they have to pay for the stress and trouble.
