  1. Long distance Oklahoma to Florida

Didn't communicate what was going on. Contract was for 21 business days, they delivered 2 days after the contract ended. Loaded truck backwards. Went to Tampa and West Palm Beach, before Orlando. Charged extra for more steps then 8 (didn't sign anything stating that). Chris did the unloading himself, the other guy wouldn't help him.

  2. Late Delivery.

Hi All, I moved from Dallas, TX to Bentonville, AR and they committed that they will deliver within 7 days as its just 350 miles. Even they updated in website it is 1 to 7 days for 500 miles. But I didn't recieved within 7 days and asked them and they are so casual way they spoke and informed its still in their Dallas Warehouse and they didn't got the vehicle to send my things. They informed that they can't commit any specific date for my delivery and it may take some more days. Also I asked for refund and its not in their policy it seems. Now I am suffering without my necessary things. :-( So sad to share this. Also now I am bad that I paid full amount upfront. Now I can't deduct some money also .

  3. 1st Generation Moving & Storage =R.I.P.O.F.F.

If you are looking for a long-distance mover and are on a tight budget, just keep saving a little more until you can hire an A rated moving company. This company is definately not A rated which is what Angie's list led me to believe. They lie, steal and cheat. Decmber 2017 they picked up my household items from Dallas,TX to Los Angeles,Ca. I am still waiting on my items 2020, yes, 2020. They picked up my belongings Dec 2017. I was told by Dart that they would be delivering my goods but would notify me in advance. That never happened. I get a call December 25, 2017, yes Christmas morning, around 11 am ish. The delivery driver told me that they would be at my house in two hours. To which I expressed to Delivery driver noone informed me to expect delivery on Christmas day and besides I am not prepared to be dealing with any furniture as I was in the middle of my Christmas cooking.and wasn't going to be home much longer. I told the delivery driver that no one contacted me to ask if I will be at home or nothing. Dart, the manage,r said since I did not wish to accept delivery on Christmas, they would be assessing me $170 per month since they had to put my belongings in storage. Finally, they said that they auctioned my stuff. Dart kept hanging up in my face telling me to have my lawyer call them and then we can discuss.

  4. Associated company is not trust worthy.

I had moved from Dallas to Conniticut, pickup was good but the associated company with them is absolutely ridiculous who's lady manager is Pamela, they charged extra at the time of delivery and their employees are totally unprofessional they used abusive languages,if you will not pay them extra amount they refuse to shifted your delivery to your door, they told if you will not pay extra right away they will left outside the elevator, when you try to call office they will not pick so don't have any option left to pay them extra. At the time of pickup they committed that they will assemble the stuff while delivering but the associated company's employees charged extra and had not done complete work they told us we don't know how to assemble, I told them I have complete video how to assemble but still they refused to do it. Lot of my items got damaged and I am trying to get my claim let's see their response. I think whoever posted this moversis good must be there employees or stuff, as if you most of them posted they had cheated customers. I have their employees videos as well to show them they refuse to do it , how they are behaving , I started making when they took extra money from us still not doing assembling stuff, I had paid extra $100 to employees just to assemble my stuff which was already included in delivery.

  7. So professionall.

If I could give 6 stars I would give 7 these movers are great They finished befor I expected on they handle the job but really professionally Despite the 105゚ outside And the total amount was even less than the Estimate was. I moved a couple times and never had movers like this and im absolutely using them again they r great.

  8. Worst of the worsts.

Please spend some time to read this review if you like your furniture and household items. Just one sentence about this company; THE WORST OF THE WORSTS because of these reasons: 1) They are not committed to the due date of delivery. 2) They couldn’t deliver one single item intact. 3) They take zero responsibility for the damages they cause. 4) They are liar and dishonest. Don’t be deceived by their ratings on google. If you check them on Yelp you will receive this message from yelp that many positive reviews have come from the same IP address.
I had them to move my stuff from TX to MA. It took them about 4 weeks to deliver my items while they had promised 3 weeks. Not to say that, they wanted to deliver my items at 3:00 AM because the truck driver wanted to go somewhere else after my delivery. I managed to convince the driver for deliver at 5:30 AM. I couldn’t believe my eyes when they started unloading the truck. Every single item was damaged. Just please see the photos which explain how horrible this company is. At one point, I thought they did that intentionally. They broke my coffee table in half. The sofa’s arm rest is broken. Very deep scratches and chipping of my desk. They broke my bed’s frame which made it completely useless. The TV-stand top glass was shattered. Where am I supposed to find a tinted glass for my TV-stand? I kept calling them and they chose not to take any of my calls. Finally, they told me I have to follow up my claims with their insurance company. I don’t know what’s the point of paying a moving company to move your household items while they fail to do their job properly. I would have donated my furniture instead. After I exhausted all these options I posted a review on google, Yelp, and ratemymoving.com. Only one day later, Dart called and just remembered they need to take some responsibility and that there was a third party who delivered my stuff and it was their fault and 1st Generation won’t work with them anymore just because of this accident, blahblahblah. He said he will follow up with their insurance company to get my claims going instead he wanted me to remove these review. I accepted (I admit that it was mistake and I shouldn’t have done it). I was offered some money much less than what my stuff worth and was scheduled to be delivered within 45 days. It’s been 4 months and I haven’t seen that money yet. They failed again to take care of such a small responsibility something they offered and committed. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

  9. Good Mover.

These guys"(1st generation) were polite, professional, and fast. They took care in handling everything, and kept me informed on what was going on with each step of the process. They were also very patient with me while working out the details of the move. Overall a positive experience.

  12. Lies, lies, lies, and more lies.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. BAD BAD BAD, LIES, LIES, LIES. This company gets rich off lying to it's customers. Evan, from dispatch, is the one contacting potential customers. He lies from the get-go. He quotes you a price after you tell him what you need moved, never mentions that if you have more, you will be charged. He fails to mention that you get charged by the cubic feet. We were promised truck arrival on Saturday, that was the first lie. The truck got here on Sunday with two men. After loading the items we were told, well you took up more then 400 cubic feet so there is an additional charge of $1,500.00. This is after we were quoted $1,500.00 for pick up, loading, driving to our destination in WV, unloading, and putting all items into the house. At this point it is either unload everything that is already on the truck or agree to the additional fee. Since we needed to have our items in WV by the following Thursday, we agreed to the fee. Prior to the movers leaving one of them says "Will there be a problem if an 18 wheeler delivers your items"? All our items were picked up in a 16 foot box truck. We let them know that YES it would be a problem with an 18 wheeler and the mover told us to call Evan, so we did. Not only did Evan tell me and my husband that it would remain on the 16 foot box truck, we also have witnesses that heard him say it. Lie again. We were told that our items would be in WV by no later then that following Thursday, Lie again. We finally got a call from a Driver on Friday stated he would be there in the morning. We had to ask "Are you in an 18 Wheeler"? Sure enough he was. We offered to meet him about an 1/8 mile away from the property with truck and trailer and to move our items ourselves. Driver gets there the next morning and demands $1,500.00 before he lets us unload. We said we would give him half of that since we had to move all our items ourselves, and if everything was in one piece we would pay the other half. The driver told us NO NO NO and got nasty. Long story short he took off with our items. So calling Evan again and knowing we will get more lies, which is exactly what we got. We were told that our stuff is now in Washington DC in Storage and if we would like to get the address and come get our items we would have to wire money first. For 7 days we had to miss work, sleep on the floor, and eat out most every day, since our items were never delivered to jus as promised. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO. We still do not have our items and now are told that we have even more charges.. Well it has been given to our Attorney, and we will see this crocks in court.

  13. Very disappointed!

Horrible. I feel like they intentionally give you a low price on the phone and then drive it up once they get there. When they get there they will say there are light scratches on all your inventory to alleviate them from all responsibility, and they did not deliver on time (thus costing me extra money in hotel fees). A $1200 move cost me over $1700! And when they arrived my daughter bed was torn up, my leather bench had a big hole in, and my child's $600 custom made toy chest had oily foot prints all over it that I can't get out! Very disappointed and hurt about the entire experience with this company.

  14. Great Movers.

1st Generation Moving helped me move and I was very happy with their services! I had received my items with in five days! Which I thought was rather quick! I would recommend 1st Generation Moving to everyone. The moving crew was very professional and attentive to all of my needs while moving. When my things arrived to our new home the delivery team was very detailed in placing everything where I needed it to be. Which helped me a lot not having to move everything again. Their actions spoke volumes in their workmanship.

  15. Tx-la Horrible.

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY** horrible experience. Lied on just about everything. Cindy and the owner, Hay, are true con artist. They con you into contracts off verbal promises, then have no desire to resolve the matter. And they do not honor the notes on the contacts made by their employees. HORRIBLE company which is a true reflection of the owner himself. Bad business man. And I asked for the additional insurance they told me no.
