  1. Amazing Job A Team.

We had A Team move our one bedroom apartment (4th floor walkup) into storage in Mckinney recently.  I simply cannot say enough good things about these guys.  They were courteous, efficient, and very good at their jobs.  When the storage place threw us for a loop and could only provide a unit that was a gigantic hassle to move into, they did not complain, and quickly put together an assembly line that handled the task with ease. Also kudos to Brian who came to our place and provided a guaranteed, reasonable estimate ahead of time.  In the end, Shea came in below that estimate, even with the storage space and other hassles. Highly recommended.  We will be using them again!

  2. Smooth Move.

My wife and I are relatively new to Texas- so when it came time to move from a temporary apartment to a townhouse we weren't sure where we could turn to for help with moving. So we started with online reviews. We had a good impression right off the bat when A Team Moving CEO himself answered the phone- the last moving company we had to deal with had an irritating answering service where it would take several minutes to get to a live person. They were very accommodating, and had absolutely no problem working around our schedule. In fact, they were able to move our  stuff the very next day! Super. On moving day, 2 gentlemen, really nice guys, showed up almost an hour early with a huge truck. This would have been a good thing had my old condo association not sucked and allowed them to use the freight elevator ahead of scheduled time. Oh well. The movers were courteous, took care of not just our stuff but also were mindful of not scuffing the walls while moving. In sum, A Team Moving service made our local move quite smooth, and we would recommend them without hesitation.

  3. Do Not Use Them Ever.

I was moving 3 miles away. They were one hour late, The movers were up moving until 4am the morning before, and had no energy left to move my furniture and I was paying by the hour. They damage $4,000 worth of my things. I called to compalin and they would not do a thing, they would not even give me a credit for th 15 minutes I was talking to them. They locked the truck and would not continue moving until I paid them in cash. I was quoted $450.00 and they demanded $950.00. They lie and scam. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

  4. Best Experience Ever.

This was my first experience with a moving company and during my research, I heard just about every horror story you can imagine. After exploring recommendations I turned to on line reviews and wasn't let down with my choice. A Team Moving & Storage delivered. The crew called before they arrived and hit the ground running. The movers, Adam, Rob, and Carlos, were quick, efficient, and [EDIT] nice guys. The only snafu in the move was on my side since I didn't know that I had to have a cashier's check for my first rent payment and it was Sunday. The property management company had an antiquated system of filling out a form with my credit card information and then faxing it off for approval -- this took almost an hour! While this was happening, the movers front-loaded the elevator and emptied the truck in an organized manner in what looked like a strategic staging to get the bigger items in first. Each and every item was carefully wrapped and taped. They handled my collection of guitars with great care and everything made it to my new home without damage.David, the dispatch, was in touch with me throughout the entire move and after to see how things went. One of the movers mentioned that they admired David as a boss -- that spoke to me. A Team Moving & Storage isn't just another generic mover.

  5. Over priced and amazingly late.

I asked for an 8 am pickup but got scheduled for 2-6pm without notice.
Pickup was delayed until 9:30pm at which point it was postponed to next day.

Next day delivery was late by more than 4 hours. The movers arrived at 9:30 pm after having worked more than 15 hours straight

All I got from the office were lies and incorrect estimates as the office is constantly over booking the moving team.

  6. Unprofessional very late and over priced.

I made the mistake of trusting the salesperson even though the qoute was higher than competitors .

Pickup was delayed during the day and after repeated calls with drivers and their manager the packing was delayed to next day.

Delivery was delayed again by about 6 hours. I recieved calls from driver that he was 10 minutes away but an hour later, they didn't arrive.

Very bad experience and wasted 2 days on a simple move between 2 cities in Texas

The driver told me sales charged me more than double on labor and about 10 time more than needed on packaging even though the estimates were based on visit by Eric the sales man.

    Do not use this company!!

  7. Do Not Use This Company!

Hired A Team Moving & Storage to move my son from Dallas to LA.  TV and several boxes of household items were lost, furniture was damaged, driver refused to reassemble all furiture as per the contract, and my signature was forged on the Credit Card Authorization Form.

  8. Don't Waste Your Time.

Absolutely horrible! Moved from out of state. Trashed my furniture. Didn't deliver on day promised because they told me the delivery driver was "passed out". The worst communication I have ever received from a company.
I will do everything in my power to ensure that no one else gets the run around that I did. If you have had a bad experience, please contact the BBB, DOT, TxDOT, Angie's List, etc. .

  9. Naperville Move.

I told my rep that I would write a positive review if my move was satisfactory. I contracted with this company to move me and my family from Argyle, TX to Naperville, IL. Trista was very persistant in earning my business by continuing to promise me an exceptional service. The movers were promt and took very good care of my furniture. They did wrap an antique chair a little to much and chipped the paint a little but that was by far my smallest concern. I had a grandfather clock that was close to me and they did a good job protecting and safely loading it. After my things left Texas, Trista was always available to answer questions about delivery. She did have to tell me that they would be a day late but did cut me a $35.00 discount for the inconvenience. It wasn't much but still better than what I thought. At my delivery the guys did a solid offload and my items made it safely. Other than the late delivery it was a very good experience and sucessful move.

  10. Move from Dallas to Austin.

This was a stressful move, and the company did not help at all! We spent about four thousand dollars for the all in package. The workers were to spend two days packing our home, and then move the items to storage and then bring the things to our new home in Austin in about two weeks once the papers had been signed on the new house. The packing was crazy, they taped tape right on the wood funrniture and some items had a ton of bubble wrap while other things that needed some had none at all. There were five men in my home all packing things and it was hard to keep up. I did not know what was in each box and thus unpacking was a difficult. They did kind of mark boxes for each room they came out of but when we were at the new house and they put boxes in the rooms that was not followed. They put piles of boxes downstairs and all the rooms were mixed and we had to sort through and move many, many boxes up stairs ourselves. My husband is on disability for his back injury this is why we opted for the full package, so we did not have to do much of the moving ourselves.  Many of our itemes were damaged. When the trucks pulled up to our home, one was a company truck the other a Budget truck rental, our beds were taped to the back of the truck! We had spent several thousand on a temperpetic bed with memory foam and all and it was strapped to the back of the Budeget truck with packing tape and a dirty blanket over it!  The workers were late, by four hours and insisted on payment before the work was complete. When packing we should have fired them at that point because the workers had to come back out to finish packing our home as they had left with several items including lawn furniture and a dog run still to be packed.  This company is not what they say they are! Do not hire them for any move. I am filing paperwork for complaint, but do not expect much in the way of remebersement as they only pay pennies on the pound of the item that was being moved. They  were paid an additional fee of several hundered dollars to take apart and then put back toegether a wood play set with a slide and swiings, they left parts in the back yard, entire planks of wood and plastic parts, not just a few screws. It is unsafe for my children to play on, and they broke the slide. The list of items that they broke or damaged is very long, but the damage to the new house is what really makes me feel mad. The walls up and down the stairs are damaged, chuncks of plaster are chipped from the walls. The house had just had professional painters come in and prepare the home for us, now it looks trashy, and I will have to hire men to fix it.  I again can not say strongly enough DO NOT HIRE THEM>>>RUN AWAY!! Unless you want your stuff damaged, your movers to be late, and to basically have your walls and items damaged.. .

  11. Do NOT recommend this mover- stay away.

A team picked up the goods at short notice and delayed the pick-up by four hours. While loading, they promised fast delivery to Florida, but in all conversation, they took protection using the 14 days delivery allowed by DOT. They did extremely poor job in communicating the delivery date and also never honestly explained the status. When called to find the status or reasons for delay, they abruptly disconnected the phone, showing scant respect for customers. Two of my items arrived totally damaged, and when asked for claim forms, totally ignored the mails. For the price we paid (which was very exceesive by any standard), the value of service we received was extremely poor, sub-standard and felt cheated at the end. I will never use this or recommend this company for any long distance move.

  12. A great job well done.

They arrived around 7:00 pm, but since I was rejected by more than two competitors, telling me they couldn’t move me in such short notice.

  13. I couldn't have done it unlessit was 4 them.

Well my husband and I are just now getting married. We have to boys that are 2months. They are twins and I love them so much. We were moving in our new house. I was pregnant with the boys and getting bigger every day ready to pop ladies you know what I mean and I was stressing out. My wedding was approaching us and moving day was after and so was my due date. But my friend Abby told me were to go and she said that her husband wanted to move in a bigger house and she looked online for moving company’s and I guess they decided to use At Ateam moving & storage.  They call us to confirm the move and they email us. She told me how wonderful they was and etc.. But as much as she talked about them. You would think they were her family. So I gave them a call and my husband like the pricing they gave us and the offer that came with it. It was unremarkable they treated us like family the movers made me laugh and my husband loved how quick they went. I talk to a sales person name Mary she was a blessing to my life. They also keep us up to date on the movers. They let us know that the movers are here and there when there on their way to deliver our things. They call us to confirm the move and they email us. They are like a family up there. They  even gave me a time period  mines was 3 to 5 pm . what's surprised my husband is that they got their at 3 and they were finish before the time they told me it was more like 3 to 4. Wow this company is so unbelievable. I want to say a very big Thank You to Mary she is so helpful to me and my family.

  14. Do not use The A Team.

We were quoted a FULL pack on our 3-bedroom house, supposedly with enough materials to do the whole move. We were told on a whole house pack, we might go over on materials by a "couple hundred dollars." I did a majority of the packing in my own boxes and was still charged an extra $640 for materials. I was charged for 36 rolls of tape for the 41 boxes they packed, along with 175 feet of bubble wrap. (I had packed most of the kitchen and all of the glassware.) And, of course, they held our goods hostage until we paid their "overages." We had an estimate of $3,018 and it cost us $3,658. If they had packed, it would have added $1,280 in labor to the bill and thousands of dollars for packing materials. Our $3,018 move would have probably ended up costing us in the neighborhood of $8,000 if we had not packed most of the house ourselves. They bubble wrapped our Tupperware but not a priceless hand-made inlaid wood lamp my father had made for us when he was alive. One box had 40' of bubble wrap used as filler (and we were charged $1.50 per linear foot for the bubble wrap). They put a greasy chain saw in the same box with our coats, destroying at least three of them. I could go on and on - USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! And pay attention when any mover tells you you'll be charged extra for packing materials, even if you pre-pay according to their quote. A small trailer-full of items was left behind. Luckily I know the people who rented my house and will get the stuff back. My trusting stupidity taught me a valuable lesson!
