  1. Bait and Switch again!

Moving from Gainesville, FL to Franklin, NC. We were provided a quote via a brokerage company (General Moving and Storage). On day of move, movers claimed that volume occupied (and therefore price) was over twice that quoted even though items on inventories matched exactly.

No complaints about the guys who handled the actual move.

The subcontractor, Jaba Khositashvili, ((267) 205 9357, who actually delivered the household belongings was unbelievably hard-working, careful, polite and accommodating. Give him a call if you can and try to avoid Vanlines USA of Hollywood.

  2. Florida to PA.

Bait and switch with my money. 4500.00 I was charged with a 2900.00 estimate. Says they only want paid in cash or money order but they took my credit card and then charged me another 5% to run it. They hold your furniture hostage. Do Not, repeat do not hire. They will soak you out of at least another $1000.00. Don't use Route 66 Relocation services they will not do anything to help you. They hired the cheats.

  3. Scam artist.

I had place an order for movers 6 weeks out before the time. I strictly told the lady(Phyliss) that it should definitely be for 6-12-19. Well they called me on Monday 6-10-19 stating that they would be there the next day. I said "NO" it's for the 12. The man was so rude to me, he told me you either take tomorrow or else. Phyliss had advised me the she would be my contact person throughout the whole process, well when I called to speak to her, I was told she was out of the office for a couple of days. Not only that, they refuse to give me a refund on my deposit because I couldn't move on the date they said because I still had one more day to find out my 2 week notice. I had to dispute them for charges. They are very unprofessional and bogus!

  4. Worked with us.

Miscommunication through AAA broker. VanLines worked with us at the end of our move. Use VanLines but be cautious with AAA Moving Company.

  5. Terrible.

Avoid this moving company. They will show up to your door step with a ton of added fees without your knowledge.

  6. Garbage Company.

Made an internet review that should clear it up:

Personally I feel I had an awful experience with very disrespectful drivers and dispatchers. Incredibly unprofessional. Dispatch called from a completely separate number area code stating driver would be there between 12 and 2pm. They showed up at 3. They showed up in a Penske truck and no uniform. They blindsided me with a 50% upfront cash or money order only down payment which was never discussed at time of set up. When questioned driver became irritated and very confrontational. His only effort of customer service was when tried to give me his personal cell to verify the charge was correct with a random person as if that was reassuring. I refused not feeling comfortable and was mocked. I attempted several times to call the original office I had set up with but no answer. They have closed office as it was Sunday. This made me question this mover even more. Why send service out( no uniform in unmarked car) if I could not reach someone Incase emergency?

I moved beyond this hoping I could maybe find a solution through the driver. I asked him to please have the office call my number to feel more comfortable and I was mocked again. At that time I was called by a different unrecognized number. The person was claiming to be dispatch calling to ask me why I had an issue with the driver and more worried about me recognizing the her personal inconvenience than helping fix the issue. I was willing till this point to find a solution and resolve this to continue the move however I now felt extremely uncomfortable as I could not find any evidence to this person being my mover.

Reasons were once again, no uniform, no name tag, Penske truck, cash only demand, office not open for calls, combative personal, and unrecognizable numbers and unwilling to help service.

I’d like to add that when I asked the dispatcher to cancel she told me there was charges and told me that I wasted her one and her drivers Gas like I was to reimburse. She told me the driver would explain the charges to me. Before I hang up the helper or passenger came to tell me the driver needed to speak with me by the truck. I go to talk and he is on the phone complaining about me to his next customer. I try to look past it and wait in the rain politely. I wait as he calls 3 other people via Bluetooth and ignores me. Each call was to tell someone how crazy and ridiculous I was being. Ask anyone, I’m clam in situations like this. I’ve worked in high end jewelry stores and b2b customer service along with 13 collective service positions.

I got fed up and told him when he was ready to come get me, without a word he packed up and left. Dispatch calls me and yells at me to reaffirm their inconvenience and then the driver calls to do the same just bad service all over.

  7. Worst Company in Human History.

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY..I was referred to this company because a friend of mine knows the owner personally so I decided to contact him to get a quote.. He asked what kind of items I have and I told him, he said to send him and text with the list of items..he called me back and say that someone from the office will contact me. The following day a gentleman from the office contacted me by the name of Glen and I went over the items that I have again. He quoted me a price of $1200.00 which was then discounted to $900.00. I got an email confirming that price..so I went ahead and schedule the pick up. I got an pick up time between 9:00 am - 11:00 am, the time passed and no one contacted me. so I called them at 11:30 which they informed me that the driver is on the way and he should be contacting me shortly..1:00 pm I called back they still telling me the driver is on the way..the driver finally called at 1:30 pm saying he's stuck in traffic and should be there in 15-20 mins which turns out to 2 hours. So they came and starting packing the stuff in the truck..When the finish loading all my items in the truck..To my surprise I got a final invoice from one the guy Paul( who is very rude and has no customer service training) for the $3600.00. How did I go from $900.00 to $3600.00. they had all these miscellaneous fees on the invoice. Of course I dispute those charges but Paul wasn't trying hear it. kept on telling me to contact the office, which he knew the office was closed at that time. They are scammers!! The owner Gary is the biggest crook of all of them..he was there watching everything unfold and he said and did nothing about it. I kept on getting the run around from Gary and them in the office. I wish I did my research before I hire them. To add insult to injury, they say that they store your items in a warehouse..BIG LIES!! They store your items in a old truck, everything crammed inside. A glass from one of my tables broke..Gary have the nerve to ask me what should he do about it. I would NEVER recommend not even my worst enemy to the Scamming company.. Please beware these people, don't be a victim of the company.

  8. Bunch of Scamers! Use Another Company Please.

*PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THIS CO**I don't know where to begin. First of all this company are BIG TIME SCAMERS! and shouldn't be in business. Should've read these reviews before using this horrific people. I was given all my pieces of furniture to Phyllis and she gave me a quote of XX amount, she assured me it wouldn't be more if I had a couple xtras boxes. Movers get there , they start taking furniture apart into extra pieces, so they can charge more, once all of our furniture was in there truck they say you went over by a lot a cubic feet, so Ill have to call my boss and see how much more it'll be. it turn out to be $1000 more, which it was to late to say no because of the furniture being in there truck. But that's how they rip people off , they don't give you an exact quote when they arrive they give it to you once your stuff is in there truck and double your move and a had a broken vase and broken plates, do you think someone has called me to do a claim of course, they already have their money.. PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY that are more honest, safe yourself a headache and stress and Phyllis I hope you read this because you are the worst customer service person I have ever dealt with. You and your boss are bunch of rip offs and SCAMERS!!

  9. Nightmare Movers.

If this review saves ONE person from the nightmare we had to deal with then this will be worth it. Called and got a quote for $2800 for a 4BR house. Sounded too good to be true but I was hopeful it was just a good deal. They were to show up on a Saturday morning between 10am and noon. I was supposed to get a call from the driver the day before and I never got a call. When I called the main office at 9am to confirm, the girl told me they were on their way. I got a call after 12pm from the driver to tell me his truck had broken down.. 3.5 hours away! We were moving across another state 5.5 hours away and I was starting a new job that Monday morning, but I calmly said I understood. Things happen, and as long as we could just start early morning on Sunday we should be able to get to our destination and in bed at a decent time right? WRONG! There were only 2 guys sent to move a 2200 sq ft 4 BR home. The driver, who assumed the role of "boss", basically put stickers on stuff, wrote on his clipboard, and played on his phone while the one other guy loaded our entire home into the truck. As someone else pointed out, they told me on the phone I could write a check, so I did not have cash on me. Well guess what, it was Sunday and the banks were closed. What the heck did they expect me to do? I had to have family moneygram the cash to a walmart nearby. They had gotten there at just before 8am, and he said we would be done around 2 or 3 pm. Then it was 6. Then 7. Then 9. We didn't close the doors to the truck until 10pm that Sunday night. I owned the home so I ended up leaving stuff because I couldn't wait any longer. I had a 3 year old I was going to have to drive ALL night long with to make it to work that next morning. I was already pissed, but then the kicker. This guys "boss" called and said they had taken too long and now they had to reroute to another job, 4 hours in the OTHER direction from where we were going. I asked to speak to her and she basically had the attitude of "well we have your stuff now so what are you going to do about it". They had "commitments they had to keep". So you screw me over to make sure you take care of the next guy? And tried to blame it on me having more stuff than I "said I did" when it was their broke down truck and slow as molasses lazy driver that took so long (who repeatedly blamed the delay on the guy busting his tail because he "was new". Here's the next best part. On a quote of $2800 they charged me an extra $1500. And that was after leaving a deep freezer, patio set, and several boxes that were all listed in the quote. Once your stuff is in the truck what can you do about it? They didn't show up at my new home until 4 DAYS LATER. We went 4 days in an empty home without ANYTHING but what we stuffed in our cars, with a small child. I went to my first day on a new job with 1.5 hours of sleep because these guys were milking the clock and took 14 hours to load, and didn't even have the decency to get me my belongings by the next day. They are scammers who will cheat, lie, and steal your money. Stay away from these crooks!

  10. Awful.

Terrible service all the way around, then you complain and they send you to claims dept in Cal. they just keep giving me the run around. they say they will call and nothing. DONT USE

  11. Horrible.

BEWARE!! Rude, dishonest, irresponsible. Many of my possessions broken. I have moved several times since 2005; worst experience ever. They broke the glass on my coffee table - $96 to replace. Offered $12tp reimburse. Movers will break a ton of your stuff and lie about delivery. Estimate will more than double when they show up. Total scammers. FIND SOMEONE ELSE. ALL THESE REVIEWS HERE ARE VALID. I found this site too late.

  12. Bad Experience!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! If you are looking for moving companies DO NOT give your business to Van Lines and all the companies that are under that umbrella including Van Lines of America and USA, Quality moving services and many more, they all are the same fraud. I personally used Quality Moving Services LLC, DO NOT USED THAT COMPANY!! People do your research and do not hire these companies, I didn't have time to do more research and this is my consequences, now that I actually looked them up, they have the worst reviews and 1 star rating in every website online. Worst experience that I have ever had. First I talk Errol in the phone, he was nice and gave me the quote of $1,042, I called them back and made the deal with him, he called me back the same day saying that he made a mistake and the real total was $1,200 still a good price so I agreed. When the pick up day came, the total changed to over $1,800 "because I used more space" they already had the things on the truck so I agreed. Then the mover demanded to get the half of total due in cash at pick up and then the other half on cash at the pick up day. In the contract they sent me, it DID NOT said it had to be cash, I did not had cash on me. This guy Ron showed me the contract he had and it did said on his, that it had to be cash, but not on mine. He asked me to showed him the one in my email and I did and he even admitted it that it wasn't on my copy that was sent to me that it had to be cash nor they told me over the phone, that should've been a red flag, really suspicious that his contract copy was different then mine. Long story short I had to drive to the bank and get them cash. It turned out the mover named Ron its the "manager" I really do not understand how somebody can hire him as manager. He called him self the only manager and there is nobody else you can complain but him and he is NO HELP! The delivery day, the driver called me saying that the road I leave in doesn't allow trucks, that they were going to transfer my stuffs to smaller truck and it will be an extra charge. At that point I lost it because I leave in a commercial area where there is a lot of business and I see those kinda trucks driving around my house everyday. That company is a big lie and fraud. They will make anything up to get more money out of you. I had to change the delivery address in order to not pay anything extra. When the driver unloaded the truck.. several things were broken, scratched and ripped. I asked the driver, how these claims work and his answer was to just call the manager which he didn't even knew the manager' name and supposedly there is only one manager, How can you not know your manager' name?, the only manager there is. I called Ron the manger, he never answer or called me back. I called the company number and the guy who answer was extremely rude, he yelled at me and I just hang up the phone because I can not tolerate more from them, now that they already got the full payment.. very single person in that company is rude and do not care about their customers. The manager called me the day after and this is what he said "hey, I don't understand what is your problem?" I hanged up, I'm not going to deal with them anymore. Im sure somehow they are going to get out of paying the things they broke because they are professional in stealing and taking advantage of costumers. I see this guy Ron the "manager" replying to the reviews and its so unprofessional to not find a solution for them but instead he tries to explain "their side of the story" which its all lies. I mean take a look of how many bad reviews and complains you have from costumers Ron, in yelp, Facebook and all over the internet, you and your companies are obviously the problem.

  13. Total Disaster.

Review for Vanlines USA Inc. Located at 2019 Lee Street Hollywood Florida 33020 Ph. 800-517-7788 I went online seeking a moving company, and after filling out a portal page, I received a myriad of quotes from several companies. I Looked at several and call no less than six companies for  quotes, I narrowed the companies down to two, Vanlines USA Inc. and one other. The representative on the phone was very polite and in her make a sale mode while discussing the quote. In fact each time I talked with someone at that office you would never know what was lurking in the shadows of a closed deal once it way too late to hire another company. On moving day I called Vanlines USA Inc. to confirm everything is in order. And after I noticed some inconsistencies I called again to ask what was happening mixed  a few complaints, It appeared to be too much for the rep. that answered the phone, so she went and got what must be the office big gun She came to the phone and told me she didn’t care what others thought about Vanlines USA Inc. where their reputation is concern. On each occasion that I talked with someone at vanlines USA Inc. I made it clear that my move is time sensitive and I had to be out of my current dwelling by close of business day on August 28, 2015. My first call to Vanlines USA Inc. the day of my move I was informed that the movers would arrive at my home between 4 – 8 pm.  Then a subsequent call from vanline USA Inc. asking me if I just had to move today? And then still another call stating that there is no way they can get there before 9:00pm that night and even then they will not be able to pick up all of my belongings.   “Update”. I just got a call from Vanlines USA Inc. informing me that it will be 9:30pm before their arrival, how are these people still in business? Once I get my belongings it is my intention to file a complaint with the BBB and any other agency that will give people the heads up about this company. Ladies and gentlemen PLEASE..! PLEASE..! PLEASE..! READ THIS BEFORE YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY..! First off the only reason I gave Vanlines USA Inc. a 1 star rating is because I could not have written this review without literally "GIVING" them at least 1 star. They do not deserve any stars at all. Let me take anticipating movers on a horror move conducted by this company.  And here is where this horror move took even another frightening turn. After loading all of my belonging onto their trucks leaving chips of my furniture on the floor while moving it, the lead mover approached me with a new contract. The original contract was quoted as ($1,367.50) . The new contract is now ($2,055.00) I had no choice but to accept the contract. The lead mover repeatedly spat tobacco juice in my sink leaving splatter around the rim of my sink. It was roughly1:20am by the time they finished loading my things. I will give a follow up review once my things arrive at my new destination.

  14. Scam.

Do not use this company, which also goes by Cross Country Movers! The driver threatened to leave with the rest of our stuff every time we would take pictures of damaged items or the large scratches they put in our new hardwood floor. We paid for reassembly of furniture but the driver went to leave without reassembling any furniture without even telling us he was going. We ran out and caught him getting into his truck and he nearly slammed my wife and infant in his truck door in his haste to get away. After multiple complaints and them trying to appease us with $150, even though they ruined our floor, furniture and nearly physically harmed my new baby, they have since said that nothing will be offered as compensation. Despite multiple calls and letters, they will not even tell me the name of the truck driver, who also refused to give his name when he was on site. This all occurred after waiting for more than one month in an empty home with a baby before the furniture ever arrived. Do not use ALL USA Van Lines or Cross Country Movers!!

  15. Awful Experience.

AWFUL Experience! Moving estimate went from $912.00 to $1,537.00 and we had 7 less pieces than we were quoted for!  Movers wanted us to leave one day early and were very annoyed that we couldn't accommodate.  They did not tell us they would arrive the next morning at 8am and arrived anyways.  Mover re-taped all boxes and charged us approx $150 more for doing that. Upon delivery, nothing was put together (Bed, Bookcase) because we wanted driver off of campus asap. He was yelling and behaving completely inappropriately at a boarding school where I was moving as a teacher! Run Fast from this company!!
