  1. Do Not Hire This Company.

I hired this company to do my move 17 DEC 2017. I explained over and over to the Senior moving coordinator that I had to move on that day and there was no other date at all. He ensured me that it was no problem. I explained to him that I was strapped for cash after just losing my son in the Fort Collins Colorado shootings. They claim the moving company would contact me on the 16 Dec 2017 to set on there arrival time. The company never calls and after about 20 calls American Wide Relocation calls back on the 17th (move day) and said that they would be there between 2 PM and 5 PM. I ask once again; are u sure because I can't miss this time line. So 4:45 come and I get a call from the moving company and the guy tells me they want make it until the following day because they are doing a 3 story move and they are tired. I explained there is no way this can happen because I want be there. I then call American Wide Relocation and he tells me that the truck is broke and when I tell him what the driver told me he said oh. I told him the next day wasn't a option I need a supervisor so he said he will see what he can do. Then some guy name [NAME EDIT] called claiming to be a supervisor. I explained to him my situation that I just lost my son and I had to move that day only. He then claimed to be in Vegas for a funeral for his uncle and that he was a veteran also as I am. After back in forth conversation he claim that he would make sure I got my REFUND and gave me his personal cell phone number [EDIT] and of course no one will answer it or no voice mail. THIS COMPANY TOOK 1800 DOLLARS FROM ME THAT ENSURED MY FAMILY HAD NO CHRISTMAS. THEY HAD SOME GUY SAY HE WAS A SUPERVISOR WHO CLAIMED TO BE A VETERAN & WAS OK WITH SAYING HE WAS MOURNING A DEATH JUST TO GET ME OFF THE PHONE AND TO [EDIT] ME ABOUT A REFUND. I have called several times to customer service and they say it takes time and its in billing. This company cost me 1800 dollars 500 dollars for last second storage's 500 u-haul cost .

  2. Nightmare - Never Hire This Company.

We hired this company on November 10th to make our moving on December 01st from Utah to North Carolina. The Senior Moving Coordinator was very nice at this time and gave us the assurance that the moving would be made on December 01st and that our stuff will be unloaded on December 08th.
We paid $1250 of deposit and the HISTORY CHANGE, we call to them to schedule our moving and they did not seem to be worried.
We packed all our clothes and personal stuff on December 01st and wait for hours and they call to us that the moving will not happen and reschedule for December 02th and they didn't show up again and after many calls to them, they reschedule for December 03th, 04th, and 05th.
In our last call, they said that our moving will not happen on December 06th because they don't have space on the truck.
My landlord needs my house, I expend money with food, I paid fees for cancel hotel, I canceled the gas and energy service and We are EMOTIONALLY STRESSED. So we decide to cancel this service but the guy in the customer service said that we can NOT RECEIVE OUR MONEY BACK.
They were very disrespectful to us.
We believe that they are not reliable and take advantage of people.

  3. Interstate move.

I just recently moved from New York to Florida. I never usually take time to write reviews, but I must for this company. I have heard horror stories in the past about moving companies, and was very careful about which one I chose. I was given a fair and honest quote in the beginning, and was kept updated throughout my move. The quality assurance department called me about 4 days before I moved to go over my inventory with me to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything (which I had!) So that there were no surprises. The movers came exactly when they had said they would, packed up my belongings and furniture quickly and efficiently and were extremely careful. All of my furniture was disassembled and reassembled in Fl correctly. I have heard of people having to wait a month for their furniture to be delivered however mine was delivered the day after we arrived at our destination. I want to thank American Wide Relocation for keeping me in the loop for my entire move and making sure there were no surprises throughout. I will definitely be reccommending to all family and friends. 5 stars!!

  4. So happy with AWR!

Now I very rarely ever right a review that's positive but I felt the need to for American Wide Relocation since they went above and beyond for me (and I told them I would! Haha) So, this has not been my first move but it is the first move that finally went smoothly. I moved from Fort Worth TX to Atlanta GA for a new job and was extremely stressed out because I was only given a weeks notice. I had a million things going through my head and setting up a mover was the last thing I wanted to think about (especially since I have been screwed by multiple companies in the past). American Wide Relocation was the 2nd company I spoke to (the first company was sub contracted through mayflower and was extremely over priced) and from the first couple minutes of speaking to my representative Jordan to the hour it took, I couldn't have been happier. He was extremely detail oriented and knowledgeable in the process of what it takes to move and most importantly he was very upfront and personable and was attentive to all my concerns. I am usually very weary of trusting any movers but I actually felt like I was talking to a real human being and not just somebody who wanted my money, he really cared and made sure that we left no stone unturned. He walked me through how to do my research on the companies and it definitely made me feel more comfortable. They got me in at a very good price for the amount of furniture I had and on such last minute. Everything from the verification department to the customer service department were extremely attentive and helpful. I was on the fence about taking all the equipment in my shed and last minute decided to take it when I spoke to the quality and assurance department and I thought I was going to pay an arm and a leg but it wasn't bad at all. The whole staff made me feel extremely comfortable, especially Adam and James who had to move mountains to reroute a truck when I needed a larger truck after adding 4,000lbs extra at such last minute. It was such a pleasant change to has such a large company make me feel like my move was the most important move in the world. Everything went smoothly, the delivery took a little longer than expected but I only had to go 2 days without my furniture. I would highly recommend AWR to my friends and family. I have already gave my cousin their number. Thanks again everyone at AWR, I'm so glad I chose you guys!!

  5. Bait and Switch Con-Artists.

BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!! We are two senior citizens who believe American Wide Relocation are "BAIT and SWITCH" predators/swindlers who never moved a stick of furniture for us, yet have stolen and won't return our thousands of dollars in deposit. We were baited by the salesman into a "binding price" to move our 3 bedroom Condo from a measured storage unit. He never told us AWR was only a broker and not a moving company. Customer Service called to confirm our move at the quoted price. 4 days after the quoted price, AWR called us to get an item-by-item inventory, incorrectly misrepresented that inventory, and then told us the move would now cost us nearly $1500 more (an outrageous 25% increase). When we complained immediately to Customer Service (who rarely, if ever, returned our phone calls or messages) about this blatant bait and switch price-gouging, we were told we had "changed the inventory" (impossible since there was never an initial inventory) and that we had missed the 3 day cancellation period (also impossible since they strategically and intentionally did not raise/switch the price untill after 4 days). When it became clear they were not going to honor the original agreed-upon price, we canceled the move and demanded our deposit to be fully refunded. AWR has refused and is still withholding our deposit illegally. Zero Stars is a better rating.

  6. Unratable. They are irresponsible and not really a moving company.

They just take your money. Do not get involved in moving at all.
They just sub contract it out. Take one third of money and do not answer your calls. Do not give you any estimates of pick up or drop off.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED.. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
DO NOT GET YOUR STUFF TO BE HELD HOSTAGE.

MY STUFF WAS PICKED UP ON 5TH OF AUGUST by CENTURY MOVERS. I DO NOT HAVE IT YET. THEY ARE SAYING IT IS GOING TO TAKE TWO MORE WEEKKKKSSSSSSS AS THEIR TRUCK IS NOT FULL YET.

Mind you I was told by the general manager (so called) that only reason my stuff is not going to reach in time is if there is flood, there is fire or their truck turns over..
    Not professional at all.

Have to give one star for no reason.
