  1. Lost my couch cushion

    Movers charged me for when they disappeared for 20 minutes,wereslow and lost my couch cushion. They refunded me 195 for a 2grand sectional that I can't use anymore.

  2. They destroyed my floor! No Refund, No Apology!

    BlackBelt Movers damaged my wood floor a day before our Open House and they don't seem to care. The movers who showed up looked very young and I could tell they were inexperienced because I had to explain to them how they could get large objects out of the door. They started on my treadmill and for 30 minutes they could not figure out how to get it out of the house. I then heard a lot of laughter and decided to go check on them and what I found is they had scratched my wood floor and they didn't even apologize. What had happened was instead of picking up the treadmill they decided to just push it on the floor which scratched the surface bad. I then had to help them figure out how to get a treadmill out of the house which is sad because these guys were supposed to be the professionals.

    I followed up with customer service and specifically wanted to talk with a Manager of the Omaha Operations for BB. I was told the manager’s name was “Tim” and he was in a meeting. I called back the next day and Tim was again “in a meeting”. I could never get a hold of Tim and I got the feeling he didn’t want to be bothered by a customer complaint.

    It’s been almost 2 months now and I finally got an email from customer service explaining they will not refund me any money for damages, and they are considering this case “closed”.

    The service from this company was horrible and I tried to give them an opportunity to make things right. They simply state that “inherit risk in potential damage anytime a company is doing the type of work we do”. What they fail to admit is they will hire anybody to move things and they don’t care about what kind of damage occurs.

    If you are considering BlackBelt movers then please remember YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

  3. Smooth Move

    My move was a little more complicated as only some items were moving. Did a walk through when they arrived and pointed out what would go. They remembered everything, but I forgot about another 8 boxes in another room. Not a problem.

    Moved from a house to the 3rd floor apartment, and had a Full load. It did have an elevator so only a few items had to be carried up. Although it took longer than I expected, Anthony, Jermaine and Damien hustled the entire time. Super friendly and made sure I had everything as needed and expected before they left. I used Black Belt before this move too and would use them again! Thanks guys for all of your help!

  4. Damages

    Damage was done at my former residence due to negligence on the movers actions. I filed for damages however after 2 months nothing has been done. Reckless workers cause damage!

  5. Employees were under the influence.

    Got a quote from the company to move a few appliances, beds, and loveseat from my home, as well as load up a storage unit and unload it at my new home. The rest had already been moved to a storage unit and needed loaded from there to my new home 1-2 miles away. The quote I was given seemed very reasonable. The day the 1st crew showed up, they marked down 8:30 as their start, but did not show up to my home until 9:20. When they walked in they stank of weed and were clearly under the influence. They began wrapping items and moving them. This took about an hour to get everything loaded. From my old house to my new house is about a 20 min drive. Crew departed before I did. I arrived at my new residence and crew showed up 25 minutes after I did. So their trip took between 45-50 minutes.....

    Once at my home it took them over 3 hours to unload their truck. In the meantime I watched 1 member in particular joke about the drugs they were smoking, and saw him partake out by the moving truck. By the time the truck was unloaded we are at the quoted time and not even touched the storage unit. I asked them to leave as I didnt want this kind of behavior around my kids or my wife (who ironically is a drug court officer). And I didnt want to pay for any more time that was clearly getting drug out intentionally bc of their state of being under the influence. Upon them leaving we found most of our items had damage, they broke water line in kitchen for fridge, broke a table leg and chair leg and tried to hide it. Took my wifes mirror off of her dresser and lost the bolts, ripped part of my door frame and trim off, hit holes into the wall. Per their company policy I had my mattress in a mattress bag... the crew took it out of the bag to carry, drug it on the ground and got it dirty and tore a hole in it, they also left a huge bulge in the springs from bending it. They also broke my deep freeze and i had to have an appliance specialist come fix the switch that they broke off. When we went back to the house we were moving from to finishing vacuuming We realized that the crew had "hidden" their energy drink cans in a closet up stairs and spilled them on the carpets staining them. I had to rent a carpet cleaner to try and remove the stains before the new buyers took ownership the next day.

    I called and reported all this to the company and did not recieve a call back for a day or 2. When I got a call back the manager I was told there was a zero tolerance policy and bc of "Covid" they didnt notice the employees had been using drugs.... he offered to send a different crew to move the rest of my items and said the other employees were no longer employed.

    The new crew showed up and did a fantastic job, this is the only reason I have given 1 star. They moved 4-5 times as much as the first crew and did it in under 2 hours!

    Submitted damages and waited to hear back for the 5 business days that website said it might take. After 14 days(10 business days). I emailed the company again and also contacted my credit card company to put a hold since my damaged items had not been repaired and i had not been reimbursed for the carpet cleaner and freezer repair. This finally got the company's attention and i was told that they could do nothing to help with repairs until I reissued the payment.....

    Use this company with caution, I thought this would make moving much easier and it turned out to be nothing but a headache.

  6. Complete service. Packing, moving, follow through!

    Such a wonderful experience! Damien, David, and Chaz packed us for our move on the 14th. These young men made a job that I felt was overwhelming made it fun and short work. It was a privilege to get to work with them. David and Eric handled our move. Once again I was impressed with their professionalism and their joyful spirits. I would highly recommend this moving company. Obviously whoever does the hiring should be commended. And all of these young men along with Fabian and Dylan should get a raise!

  7. House Moving.

    My elderly parents hired Black Belt to move them from a house to an apartment. A stressful ordeal. However Eric and David were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to make sure the move went smooth and easy. They were professional, friendly, and approachable about what my parents needed during the move. Can't thank them and Black Belt Movers enough.

  8. Our moving experience.

    Chaz and Dylan did an excellent job moving us from Bellevue to Council Bluffs! They were very quick with what they had to move for us and they both have great customer service skills! Felt like we had friends helping us move! We will definitely use Black Belt Movers in the future and we will be recommending this company to our family and friends.

  9. Short Move to Storage Facility.

    I personally will never use this company again. I received unacceptable customer service from a member of management, broken & stained furniture, and a storage unit that I personally repacked. Make sure you're reading the correct reviews. Do your research.

    Mine was a small moving job, from a small storage unit to a larger one. From the time I contacted the office through the actual move everyone was professional, helpful and extremely efficient. Matt W. and Aaron, the moving team took time to setup the new area so I could easily find things and left plenty of room for adding additional items. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ~.

    I have never been so impressed with a company in my life. From the first time I called to schedule my appointment, to the estimate all the way until the last box was taken off the truck was a great experience. Moving is stressful but Black Belt Movers managed to make it a fun experience. They were careful with all of my belongings treating them as if they were their own. They made sure to communicate with me and each other throughout the entire move. I have to say this company stands apart from the competition, hands down Mad Ninja Skills will always take care of my future moves. Black Belt Movers thank you for all of your help.

  12. Life Saving Crew - Literally.

    I live at The Heights Apartments in Omaha. I heard some noises outside my unit and discovered a crew from Black Belt Movers helping a new resident that passed out and fell, striking his head. He was bleeding pretty good, and I saw one the employees roll him over to allow him to not choke on his own fluids, likely saving his life. I don't know how long this poor man was lying there or would have been there before anyone noticed. Afterwards, it turns out the crew was there to help move the gentleman. I asked the mover if he wanted one of my shirts since his shirt had blood all over it from the guy, and the only thing the mover was concerned about was the guy who was injured. I truly think god puts us where we need to be when the time is right, and I do believe the movers saved this mans life. When I move, they will be first on my list to call.

  13. My Experience.

    I have been using Black Belt Movers since 2008. I use them for moving stuff around my house and three times to move our home and always had great service. Used a crew just this week to get stuff out of my basement due to water, thanks to Brandy and Demetris for saving the day. Not sure what the lady is talking about "never use this company", I'm sure your stuff will pop up because I cannot tell you how long we were finding stuff we mispacked or didn't realized it was put where it was due to all the chaos that occurs with any move. I recommend Black Belt Movers hand down. Ask for Brandy and Demetris..they are the best.

  14. Don't Use Black Belt Movers.

    BEWARE OF BLACK BELT MOVERS
    I never have posted a review like this, but I want to warn everyone who considers using them. I also want to note that my mom and I just lost my dad and brother and this is literally the last thing in the world we want to deal with. But it is hugely important everyone should know what a terrible company this is.
    On March 1st they moved my mom’s house and we didn’t have a great experience at all. They hugely underestimated the cost of the move which was frustrating. We paid almost 1000$ over what they originally quoted. The workers were not careful at all and we ended up with a ridiculous amount of broken items. They became very careless during the end of the move because it was such a terribly long day of moving.
    The second huge problem was the loss of jewelry and t.v. My mom had a huge chest of drawers and they told her it would just be saran wrapped and moved, no drawers would be taken out. So my mom wrapped all of her jewelry and put it in the top drawer.
    Once the movers got this piece of furniture to the room at the new house, my mom cut off the saran wrap and opened the drawer and the jewelry was gone. The t.v that was sitting directly on top of the dresser is also gone. My mom is heartbroken. Thankfully she didn’t have anything highly valuable but she had a TON of everyday wear jewelry and sentimental jewelry that my dad got for her. It is all completely gone now, at least 4,000$ worth. We, of course, have searched the whole house and through every box. The jewelry and t.v is nowhere to be found. I have waited to post this review because I wanted to be 100% sure it wasn’t still in the house.
    We called the moving company when this all first happened and of course, they denied it and were so completely rude. We are also making a police report as the moving company instructed us to do.
    I also think an interesting thing to note is that the following day of my mom's house move, my house was moved by the same company. They had moved everything into the new house and had left. Then two minutes later one of the guys came running up with my TV in his hands and he had said it was in his truck ( this was a black belt mover pick up truck). The t.v wasn’t wrapped up at all or anything. I find that very distressing as well. So please be warned and be very careful if you decide to use this company I would highly recommend NOT using it.

  15. Small Move.

    Had 4 pieces of bedroom furniture that ended up taking a total of 2.5 hours to move less than 7 miles apart. Crew was slow and damages were left on the walls from the move. Crew disappeared for 30 minutes between move and assured me that I was not being billed for the time. We had an initial great experience using these guys for our first move however this smaller move was terrible and I feel like from a billing standpoint we were taken advantage of.
