Destroyed my Life Savings.
They bragged for 2 minutes about how great they are then pawned me off to a second rate contractor. I left all of my belongings in the back of a 28 foot truck at Estes Sure Movers (wasn't even Budget Van Lines) and secured the partition after stacking all of my stuff. It arrived 9 days later completely trashed. BVL did not care and said it was my fault. I loaded the trailer, put up the partition and fastened it in place using the 6 straps it comes with that snap in place on the sides of the inside of the trailer. It arrived unsnapped and with my stuff in a huge pile in the middle of the truck. They insisted I fill out a damage claim form, but then sat on it for a month before telling me it was my fault. Big time liars and scam artists. This is not a dumb customer who is just angry that they didn't read the fine print. This is someone who trusted these guys with everything they owned and were let down big time. No apology, no repairs, no replacement, no refunds, nothing. I'm totally on my own. And I payed these a**holes $1700. They probably read these reviews at lunch everyday and laugh at them. "Serves them right for listening to our sales pitch." Stupid f**king marks is all we are to them. I pray to God this company goes under fast. I have pictures of before and after if anyone wants to see them.

My wife and I secured movers two months in advance, went with budget van lines because they were extremely competitive in pricing:

Two days before the move, it went up to $3850.00, I called and was outraged so they lowered it to $2400.00. Then Eden's moving showed up and it is now up to 3650.00 with a possibility of even going higher than that (^$700.00) because of conditions that they didn't inform me of prior to this other company having all my property.

I have been referring Budget Van Lines for 3 years to my prospects and residents moving out since I work in property management and have always stayed loyal to your company and have only continued to refer you. For the first time I referred you to someone very close to me which it my boss, she was moving from a 2x2 on a first floor to a 2x2 on a third floor no elevators. We were told that she should be looking at 4 hours. She had everything packed and disassembled sitting in her living room to make things easier. They took 2.5 hours to load the truck, they were extremely slow and had no sense of urgency. I have been in property management for years and I have moved more than 5 times and 2.5 hours to load a truck from a 2 bedroom apartment without any appliances just 3 beds completely broken down, a dining table, couch and boxes is extremely unacceptable. Once they finally get to the other place which because of the stairs we anticipated that unloading and carrying upstairs was going to be maybe 2 more hours became 4. One guy was throwing up due to the heat exhaustion and cramping which I completely understand because he is a human being but this delayed the job even more and on top of that my boss had to hydrate them and give them Gatorade that she bought because they were not prepared. While her husband went up and down the stairs to get stuff up 3 times they did 1 trip. The guys were very nice and I have nothing to say bad about their attitudes but unfortunately they don't have the training or experience necessary to do a move keeping reasonable time in mind. We timed them and they were taking 30 minutes in between going down and the up, we asked them why and they said they were creating a staging area but when we went down there were only a few items her family had to carry up themselves. Time was definitely not managed wisely, one guy down that barely went upstairs, her husband, her 3 daughters including a 6 year old had to help but she still got charged for 6 hours, she paid $733 to move from a 2 bedroom apartment in Tampa 2 miles away, now that to me is extremely high. I did all the schedule with Shelby and she did give me a discounted rate of $109 per hour taking into consideration all the costumers I refer to you, after this situation I have attempted twice to contact her and she is not responding to my emails, the only person that I have been able to speak with and has always been available for me is Lamar. Taking into consideration the years I have worked with you guys and the costumers I refer I expect someone to contact me and offer her some type of refund due to the horrible experience and stress that she had to go through and if Budget Van Lines wants me to continue to refer them and putting their flyers out in our properties something must be done. I was holding back from writing a review giving you the opportunity to fix this before doing so but it has been more than a week since I wrote you guys and no one has reached back.

Move was handled very professionally. Dawn was exceptionally helpful in explaining the process and updating me on delivery dates. The movers were very hard working and very careful with my items. I was very happy with the entire experience and would recommend Budget Van Lines to a friend. Thank you for your excellent service.

It was great from the beginning to the end. We hired their movers to move it all and bring a truck to move some furniture and all went as planned. We paid them to pack a few boxes we forgot, no complaints.

Very informative about service and price. They were upfront and answered all my questions. Very friendly representative that stayed in touch with me through the whole move and checked up when I got my stuff.

My experience with Budget Van Lines was excellent. The moving coordinator was very good. He handled everything I asked and she did everything I wanted. The pickup and delivery crew were very good too although they were a little late and there was a bit of a challenge to get to the location. Overall, they did what they said they would do and they were courteous in everything. I’m happy with my experience with them. I’d recommend them and use would use them again.

Was a great move and I got everything just as I shipped it. The only thing was that it took a while for my shipment to arrive in Colorado Springs after it was picked up in Texas. However, all the packers and movers were so nice, it made up for the delay. I had told them there was no big rush, and it still arrived within the window they gave me. Over all I certainly would call them again!

Everything went great with Budget. Budget even helped with communicating with the actual moving company. I thought the two driver's/movers were very professional and polite and I could not have had a better experience.

No complaints!! My coordinator "Heather" was excellent and always available for my questions/concerns. My movers were amazing! I was so thankful for their help and their low stress level. The entire experience was great! I was stressed out, but everyone was so helpful, that I left it in their hands. Will definitely use again.

Budget Van Lines indeed can help you as superheroes. They were all professionals and are very courteous and apparently as they were strong to load the furniture in a swift. They were all amazing. Would absolutely refer them to friends as local first choice movers as they had given us star treatment and not even once we lift anything for them. They made us sit down the hall and asked to just relax.

Although they were running a little late, Darren kept in communication with me on timing and got straight to work when they got to my place. Him and Jim (I think I’m remembering his name correctly ?) were very polite and careful with all my stuff, going above and beyond to help me - especially with taking apart my dsughter’s bed and putting it back together.

I couldn't praise you guys enough! You were WONDERFUL!! Dealing with the death of my mother in law, moving her stuff from the apartment in NC to our house in WI with short notice, couldn't have gone more smooth! You were able to get her stuff before the 1st of the month, the guys did an amazing job loading it all and unloading it. Nothing was damaged or broken. We REALLY appreciate all the hard work of the guys that helped us out. I would HIGHLY recommend you guys to anyone I know looking to move. Very professional and helpful.

Very pleased with all facets of the move. The only people I dealt with personally were two very cooperative and extremely nice drivers who delivered my goods to me. Thank you to Terri who handled the move from the point of origin; being a very good friend, is always honest, and expressed her pleasure with working with all involved. Also thank you to my generous son, who "footed" the bill for his Mom.
