Good service, reasonable price.
My school's housing department recommended these guys and I used their service to move from my parents' house into the school's dorm. Overall good service, reasonable price and nice people. I'm booking them again to move out of the dorm this time!

After dealing with a messy divorce (married for 14 years, young children, custody battle, the whole 9 yards) I was eager to just move on with my life, and move back to my hometown so my kids could be closer to their grandparents.
It was a stressful time in all of our lives, and having to relocate my family to another state was an added stress that I was not looking forward to. I started calling moving companies, and kept getting the runaround by pushy salespeople and the calls kept coming in- at ALL hours, day and night.
Finally, I spoke to a representative at Budget Van Lines who broke it all down for me in just a few minutes and reassured me that there is no reason this should be stressing me out- we're just moving furniture, after all, lol. He gave me an estimate that kept me on my budget and continued providing professional courtesy all the way until my items were delivered, no matter how many times I called and bugged him with questions.
I promised the first thing I would do when I hooked my computer up would be to share my expirience with Budget Van Lines, and that's just what I did! To Dan from Budget- if you see this- thanks again!
Moving with this company.
If you are planning on moving with Budget Van Lines you have to understand you will get the most for your money, but with no frills. The company found me the lowest rate for my move by far, and the movers did the job just fine, but they weren't part of a big trucking company nor did they wear uniforms. I basically saved 1500 dollars because I went with Budget rather than going with one of the bigger guys. Professionalism was on par with everyone else, thanks for the service.
Very Poor Communication.
We paid for a guaranteed delivery for December 30th or 31st and it was delivered on January 2nd. Also, we received no communication from the company or the contracted company, until Saturday, letting us know that it would be late. Because of the delay we were forced to rent a motel room for 3 nights. When the delivery was made there were no helpers to unload or set up. The driver was very kind and apologetic but we had to make arrangements for people to come and help unload and set up on a Sunday afternoon. I have called and emailed the company numerous times. Every time I have spoken to someone they have assured me that someone would get back to me and they have not. I also completed a review online submitting my complaint. I did receive an email in response to that review. I emailed back the job number and have not received any response since then. I have filed a complain with the BBB but still have not received a response. I would definitely not recommend this company.

I learned quite a bit about the moving industry through working w/ an experienced thorough sales representative who walked me through the entire process w/o leaving out any details. There were other companies who were offering higher prices but I felt totally comfortable with Budget Van Lines & my move was an absolute success.
Horrible!!
This was the worst experience ever. They came late to pick up my items. After they left we were not able to contact anyone regarding our items. When they finally delivered 15 days later they called the police on my husband because he was yelling at them for the no contact. All of our furniture was damaged!! Things were stolen, boxes had been went through!! Horrible, please don't use them. They will rip you off with no apologies, they will not replace stolen or damaged items. They make you file a claim and you must have original receipts, who has that!! Therefore you never get your stuff!

It's always hard to leave an honest review of a company and not get emotional about it. I used Budget Van Lines for my move and things worked out alright. I'm not a picky person, I don't really need the bells and whistles, I just make sure the company I use for any service is an honest company. Budget Van Lines was honest, and things worked out well for my small move.
