1. Not sure whether the positive reviews are real.

   I booked their service TWO months ahead. Everything seemed fine until pickup date was approaching. First, I was told that they can not come the dates I requested. Then, they called me next day said they could come to pick up on the 1st date during the original pick up window. On the proposed pick-up day, I was contacting them and trying to figure out exact time, they told me:1). the truck was having issues; 2). they can come two days later than originally proposed dates. I canceled the service and booked a U-box with U-haul.
   
   I am at a remote location, they should have done their studies and learn the risk instead of assuming that all the work orders are the same. I think the story behind is they can not find a truck driver / real mover that they all can make money from. They MIGHT be taking a passive aggressive approach to let me cancel the service instead of telling me they can not. Bottom lines, these people do not seem sharp and professional at all. For instance, they say they will call you within an hour and they don't.
   
   I would also be aware of the seemingly fake reviews from Google. Looking closely, many contributors did not have a real profile set up: no photos, no other contributions. I would be aware of that.
   
   Lastly, keep in mind, they are a moving broker, not real movers. They specified that in their agreement/work order. If that is something you are looking for, then go ahead.

2. Review #1.

   Review #1
   This is the first of what will be two reviews. The lead up to our move was important because…life happens. I had arranged our move with Ron and paid our down payment. Within days, our circumstances changed and we weren’t going anywhere. Yes, it was within the three-day refund period so I would have expected to get my down payment returned. What I did not expect from Ron or Frank was to be treated with not only respect befitting the situation but a very real understanding and uncompromising effort to help make our situation better even if they never saw a cent – which they had no reason to believe they would.
   
   Ultimately, the move became a reality and I called Ron and Frank. I think they were happily surprised, but not as much as I was to be welcome back like a long-lost family member. They sent Patrick and his crew and the move went smoothly and quickly. Couldn’t ask for more. My belongs are now safely in storage at my destination city (thanks, Frank). When we find the house of our dreams, our life belongings will be taken home and I will have every reason to write another glowing review.

   Positives-
   1.Once we got the Cobra Van Lines driver's phone number, we finally found out when we would get our delivery. CC Moving could give us no tracking information.
   2.We did get our delivery in CA. one week after it was picked up in CO.
   Negatives-
   1.Despite a much higher price on moving day and despite the BOLDED message in CC Moving paperwork that we were to contact them if there was a discrepancy between their quote and the movers price, no one was available at CC Moving when we attempted to call them.
   2.Our many hours spent itemizing our belongings seemed unnecessary as the mover came in and did a walk around estimate and based the cost on that estimate.
   3.Communication with Cross Country was terrible, particularly with Josh, who assured us that if there was a problem on moving day with a price difference as past reviewers had mentioned, he would be available to help. See #1 above. Annie, as well, never got back to us about the price difference between the quote by CC Moving after she requested we send a copy of the inventory and what the movers actually charged. Price went from $4948 to $6373 which she admitted was a large increase.
   4.Our dining room table leg was broken either when taken apart at our home or put together at the new home and no one mentioned it but merely put some tape around it. (See photos).

   

4. Good Experience.

   I decided to use Cross County Moving Group after reading some reviews on them. I was moving from my 2-bedroom house across states and they made my moving process as stress and hassle-free as it could be. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and they were able to respond to all of my questions quickly. The moving trucks showed up on time and there was no problem with the delivery, nothing was lost or damaged. The service was excellent and I could not find a better price. They were a great company to work with and I will be calling them the next time I have to make a major move.

5. A great experience.

   I have been shopping for moving services for the past few months, and so far, it has been a traumatic experience. Mr. Rubin from Cross Country Moving Group called at 9:00 a.m. called in response to a request for quote I made on line at 5:00 a.m. that same day. I was expecting again another horrifying experience over the phone, but to my surprise, Mr. Rubin was extremely pleasant, professional, personable and engaging. I accepted the offer he gave me without any hesitation, because he responded to all my questions before I even asked them, he understood that I was on a budget, calculated the cost of my move and finalized the whole move arrangements efficiently, and in heavenly pleasant way, AND A GREAT PRICE TOO! Mr. Rubin put all my worries to rest, and gave me all the information I needed, but most importantly, he treated me as a human being, with genuine kindness combined with strong professionalism, and THAT is what made the whole difference in my decision to go with Cross Country Moving company instead of another. Thank you Mr. Ronald Rubin, for making my day!!

6. My Last Big Move.

   Like most people, I was reluctant to work with a moving company. I usually organize everything myself. I contacted a few different companies to get quotes for pricing. Cross Country Moving quoted me at the best price I could find for my moving distance. They were extremely helpful and thorough in taking the time to walk me through the process and answering all of my questions. Once it was actually time for the move the movers showed up and delivered all my items with no problems. I was incredibly satisfied with the service from beginning to end and have already recommended them to my friends and family.

7. Top quality moving experience.

   Cross Country Movers is exactly what I never knew I needed! I’ve moved around a lot my whole life, apartment to house to home, always on my own, and this time we decided to hire some help since this was the longest and farthest move we’ve ever done. SUPER SATISFIED BY THIS SERVICE!! The move was quick and painless, our things were handled with care, and all of our questions were answered - everyone was so friendly and knew what they were doing. And of course everything arrived at our new home in perfect condition! Thank you so much!

8. Best Move Thus Far.

   These guys are good. First of all, I've never hired a mover. Every time I moved I did it myself. This time, I knew I needed help. Secondly, I had a boat load of questions. I mean, it seems like it takes far much more coordination to move thousands of miles away but they assured me that they will take care of all the details as long as I get my stuff in boxes. They loaded everything in a matter of hours! They worked so hard in this Florida heat I even made them some lemonade. Anyways, great company. Will definitely use again. I recommended them to my sister who's moving up in a few months.

9. By far, the best moving experience ever!

   I have to relocate a lot for my job. That’s the part I hate the most is to pack up everything over and over It’s such a nerve wracking process. I’m so happy I found the Cross Country Moving Group. They made the whole ordeal hassle free. They were nothing but professional. When it came to my belongings, they handled them with the utmost care, almost as if they were packing up their own stuff. They even triple wrapped some of my family heirlooms. Every person I talked to treated me like family. Unfortunately, with my job, I know I will need a moving service again in the future. With out a doubt, I will use Cross Country Moving Group every time and I’m so happy I found them when I did.

10. Worst move ever.

    Moved from Bakersfield to Az. Grateful for 1 month free storage. Staff who delivered things at 5:30 pm better than partial pick up persons. In Bakersfield their truck was 3/4 full so half my tiny 1 bedroom apt didn’t fit. No appliances They had no room. So I had to hire a second mover and now those things are in storage for a fee to move , pack and store those things. Haven’t figured out how to get that pile to Scottsdale yet but it won’t be with this company ever. Total cost almost $7000. Never ever believe their original estimate especially if you talk to Eric . I do believe in Karma forever Thanks to Liz forbgrtting them here on Saturday Have 5 hour drive tonight. I paid it all. I will never ever use them again. I’d rather dump it all please don’t hire this group Dintbsay I didn’t warn you !!

11. Moving 'assistance' from CCMG.

    I've moved more then 3 dozen times in my lifetime, as a kid and adult, married and single. My experiences in Florida were the most uneven and 'problematic.' The smallest lot of items moved was my most recent; a Duncan Phyfe dining room group of 10 pieces. It presented me with the worst of the lot in terms of honesty and follow through. At the front end this move was organized by a 'senior moving coordinator' with Cross Country Moving Group who talked a great game and promised that he would, "have my back through the entire transaction, supervising the move from start to finish!" At the back end the move was managed by another co.; Always Affordable Moving and Storage of New Jersey. When Always Affordable added a completely unnecessary and unjustified $400 shuttle fee, because their driver had determined the truck containing my 10 pieces of furniture was too big from my street (18 wheel transports do load/unload for businesses on my block), Cross Country's senior moving coordinator said he'd trouble shoot such an obviously wrong decision; "I'll get back to you, I've got you covered." Then - he sent his final contact .."all future business regarding this matter must be addressed to the following number..". A cheerful and chatty fellow, with an arsenal of platitudes, his 'front' only made the back end of a minor transaction (in the complex world of moving people's belongings) that much more expensive, annoying, and aggravating. Would recommend using the services of a company that is truly in charge of matters 'front to back'; they book, pick up, and deliver their contracted assignments.

12. Moving from NC to SC.

    This company is a JOKE.. I was given a day to move of Friday 5/3 with my alternate date of Saturday 5/4 and was called on Saturday and told they could not move me until sometime on Sunday 5/5. This was unacceptable as my ex- husband wanted me out on Friday.
    I called the office multiple times and was given to the answering service and I asked that a supervisor or owner call me ASAP.Never heard from anyone and here I sit waiting to find out when the movers are coming and they have my deposit of 700.00.
    
    I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. THEY TALK ABOUT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SO FAR I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING BUT INCOMPETENCE.

13. Local move in Texas.

    Moving can be a nightmare for us all, and I’m sure that it has been for many of you. Cross Country Moving Group has made the entire process so much easier for me! The crew saved me a huge headache, and I knew I made the right decision with how they handled my belongings. The price was absolutely worth the service, and I intend on using this company in the future for any further moves.

14. Bait and switch.

    I was quoted a price to ship my vehicle from Michigan to WY which I accepted and put a down payment on. Vehicle was scheduled to be picked up, but never happened. Contacting the company, they indicated that I would have to pay an increased fee in HOPES that one of their contractors MIGHT fulfill their agreement.
    
    Staff was very unwilling to work with me and the customer rep that made the contract with me has refused to even call me back.
    
    This company is not to be trusted to make good on any contract that they make with a customer.

15. Very satisfied with our move.

    Moving can never really be fun, but the guys at Cross Country Moving Group helped make it a lot easier. My husband and I were worried about some of his fragile family heirlooms breaking during the move, but they were transported so safely that it was like they hadn’t moved at all. We were so relieved. The movers were polite and professional throughout the whole process. They were very funny guys who kept on cracking jokes to make us smile. Of course, the way they handled the move in general made us smile as well! I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
