  1. The worst experience I've had with a company

I went with Gps because they had good reviews and the customer service rep I spoke with was very friendly, promised to follow up and offered some packing for free. My items arrived cross-country a month later and every item they packed on my behalf was broken. Every single brand new box has sustained some kind of damage. having unpacked 10 or so boxes my items are damaged and soaking wet. The soft furniture that made it is marked and dirty. Very disappointed to have spent this amount of money and received this result. Gps sent me via email a claim form instructing me to file Directly to their insurer. If it were my business I would have people following up with my client that spent their hard earned money to see all of their life possessions treated in such a shabby and careless manner is a very personal experience that deserves follow up at a minimum. My neighbors observed delivery and we're wondering if a drunk gorilla moved the stuff. I am still in shock and dreading unpacking and discarding, washing dry cleaning and repairing what can be salvaged. Mostly I just cry. There are photos on yelp of the condition in which my items arrived. I suggest reviewing them before selecting GPS

  2. Do Not Use Gps! Find Another Co.

GPS WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY $$ and not take responsibility for their errors!!

GPS didn't book a large enough truck to pick up my belongings and wouldn't load my refrigerator. When they finally delivered my goods to Ft. Worth, from CA., they rushed to dump the last of my boxes which were flea infested, after being stored for 2 mos in their San Diego facility!! They also did not unbox and place my televisions. Lastly, they NEVER provided me a receipt of delivery, nor will contact me to rectify!!

I have extensive experience working in transportation and this IS THE MOST HORRIBLE MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!

I suggest using United movers. I used them professionally and they were wonderful, but they also do home deliveries across the U.S.

  3. Highly recommended.

My name is Dustin Waters and I have to say that I was very impressed with the service that I received from this company (GPS Moving and Storage). Not only were they on time and prompt the whole way through but there customer service kept us at ease the whole way through especially because this was our first long distance move and we were very skeptical. We moved from San Diego,CA to Sarasota,FL which is from one coast to the other so that's alot of miles that something could of went wrong however they pulled it off and with exceptional service I may add. I had a two bedroom house moved for around 3000 and top notch service so we are very happy to recommend GPS Moving and Storage to anyone needing a long distance moving company.Thank you GPS Moving and Storage for the spectacular job you did and thanks to all there friendly staff that helped.

  4. Warning! Stay Away!!

WARNING! STAY AWAY!!.. so when you read reviews you get that feeling like can that be real? We had it happened to us! This company is unprofessional and they will take advantage of your situation. Just so you guys know it is stated on your contract that it can TAKE upto 21 days read it before you commit anything because our delivery took that long! They send this truck driver that will push your buttons and makes uncomfortable comments and you have to keep your cool and he was very uncooperative and rude he even hung up the phone on us. People work at this place will make you stressed out and on top of that you will pay 6K after all. Read the answers they give to their customers reviews. Whatever they respond to this!! do not listen to them. It is our responsibility to inform the public. We also had our tv and bunch of things broken. Forget about all that insurance thing!!

  5. Careful. organized, smooth long distance movers!

I moved to San Diego from Chicago, IL and I struggled at first to find a professional and reputable company. I had received several quotes and just wasn’t comfortable with the lack of concern most of these companies had regarding the pandemic. Finally I hit the jackpot with GPS. Vanessa from was amazing and put my mind at ease with the many precautions they were taking to ensure their employees weren’t ill and to ensure they followed strict CDC guidelines. She quoted my move, at a great rate and we scheduled everything out.

The crew who came out, Adrian, Tony and Abraham, were on time masked and gloves on and quickly packed my two bedroom home, using generous padding and wrapping so nothing would be damaged and put everything on the truck without issue. They were careful but fast and efficient. They stayed in communication with me throughout the move and delivered everything on time as quoted. Unpacking was quick and painless as all my items were unloaded to the rooms I requested and they even put my beds together. Everything made it in one piece.

I would highly recommend GPS to anyone who needs an honest reputable company with reasonable rates to move them.

    Highly recommend this company.

  6. Excellent company and highly recommend.

My wife and I moved from Los Angeles to NC during the COVID pandemic. My initial move was set with another company, through a broker, and it was an absolute disaster. I called Tammy because I wanted to go directly through a moving company and it was VERY last minute—like the same week.

Tammy and her team were absolutely fantastic. Moving cross-country is a completely terrible process, but she made it doable. Don't believe any other reviews that say terrible things. The reality is that moving itself is awful so many times that gets blamed on the company.

Know what you want though. EXPECT TO PAY FOR EVERY LITTLE THING. IT HAS TO BE IN A BOX and it takes up space.

Expect that your items MAY get transferred to another truck if you're going long distance. Ask about the route plan. Tammy was fantastic with helping with this, along with insurance.

All in all, 100% recommend Tammy and the GPS Moving team. Not sketchy, great teams, excellent results.

  7. Perfect Move.

I had a great move during Covid-19 situation with the help of Tammy team out of state without any risks. the delivered all items perfect condition carefully including fragile items. Tammy explained all details perfectly with immediate response to all my queries. Delivery is on time and punctual. Thanks lot team for making my move successful and safe.

  8. Best cross country movers.

I wanted to express my gratitude to GPS Moving and Storage. All the people that I spoke with Vanessa, Don, Veronica and Tammy. Were always so attentive to my calls and whenever I had questions they took the time to explain it to me. I have been in the works of preparing my move for about 6 months. I knew I wanted to hire GPS Moving to do my move to Florida when Avi the estimator came to my home. I preferred to have someone come to view all my items, I did not want any surprises. He came within the time provided and even with this pandemic, I was glad they were still open. I had a feeling I was in the right hands and that is a feeling you can not beat. My overrall Experience for moving couldn't have been any better. Thank you everyone.

  9. Moving Made Easy.

With covid19 making everything so uncertain, I was nervous about my upcoming move from Southern California to Washington state. Tammy my mpoint of contact person with GPS, instantly eased all worries and answered all my questions in a friendly yet polite manner. Explaining in detail what I could expect. A couple days before my move Alex, Angel and Alejandro or the triple A team as I call them. Arrived at my place to gather my belongings. They packed everything, with more care and detail then I would have. GPS has a 10 day delivery guarantee. Those Rockstars had my stuff delivered in 3 days. Promptly after arriving to my new home the triple A team unpacked my stuff putting everything in its correct spot. The stress and hassle of moving state’s away was greatly reduced thanks to the helpful, friendly and hardworking team at GPS. If you're in the market for a moving company I strongly recommends GPS. They are true to their word, accommodating and value their customers.

  10. Run Away!!

If I could give this negative stars I would. Do NOT.. I repeat do NOT use this company. I am still dealing with them a month after my move without resolution.

My items were completely destroyed & some missing. I paid for them to pack my items & move me from San Diego, CA to Dallas, TX.. my TV was only covered in a blanket and completely smashed. I had a computer desk that was completely destroy along with a mirror they failed to protect as they promised they would.

They taped items in between cushions..this is NOT what I paid for. After speaking with Tammy Cruz about the problem & my first review, she basically bribed me to take down my review. Here I am.. with a release form to release them from negligence (which I am fine with doing).. however, they want to also include a non-disclosure agreement to prevent me from doing what I am doing now.. I will not give away my first amendment right!

Avi (dispatcher) is extremely rude. Vanessa will be so friendly in the beginning and give you comfort on their services, but BEWARE.. this place is a complete SCAM!

  11. Satisfied customer !

Gps moving recently moved me to AZ. The move went exceptionally very well. The day the crew arrived to my home , they packed all my items and took the time to do it which showed in many ways when delivery came. I could not have asked for a better service. I highly recommend GPS Moving.

  12. Out of State Relocation experience.

I couldn't be more impressed with the services I received by GPS Moving and Storage, from the exceptional customer service to the most swift operation. We were nervous about our move at first as it was our first time across country!

(San Bernadino,CA to New Castle,Delaware) However after setting ourselves up with them we felt ever so at ease thanks to the time they took in having us feel comfortable, explaining chain of events and helped prepare us for this transition! Price was reasonable also and we did not pay a dime more, we received all our goods and in a timely manner! Communication was great too and the crews on both ends were nice guys, super hard working and friendly. We would recommend GPS Moving and Storage to anyone looking to move out of state! Thank you GPS for making our experience a pleasant one.

    Castros.

  13. Admin Opportunities, Movers were Great.

PROS: Nice movers, great job wrapping furniture, quick delivery one state away

CONS: Frustrating admin team, did not know delivery date until one day before (they partner with other companies)

Overall, the movers were great and I had a nice experience during both the pickup and delivery. Drivers and delivery team were excellent, and they wrapped up all my furniture much better than moving companies I have used in the past- no scratches! My 2 floor lamps, however, were broken, and the admin team was very frustrating to work with.

  14. Don’t Trust.

Run run run as far as you can come this moving company. We used them to move our items from California to Texas, it was the WORST moving experience of our families life (we move often for work) The company destroyed EVERY piece of furniture we have worked so very hard for. Damages came to over $30k - They refused to apologizes or take account for any wrong doing. On top of destroying everything they messed up the delivery time not once, not twice but 3 times, not that is mattered, when we FINALLY got our stuff from a STORAGE unit (not even our house, where it was suppose to go) every item was damaged. We then had to hire ANOTHER company to remove our items from storage to our new home. When we finally spoke to someone they gave us a lovely credit of $300. lol! $300!! Let me remind you, they ruined priceless furniture, expensive TVS, family heirlooms. Its a sad company, run by piss-pore people. For the safety of your family and your items, I highly encourage you to use another company. One with compassion and morals. It will save you months of crying over your hard earned items. Shame shame shame on this company & Tammy (Pssst) Horrible lady.

PS --The driver of the truck who missed the delivery several times (because he said he went out and drank) then added us on facebook and harassed us because we reported him to the company. We were in fear for our life, because he knew where we lived.

  15. Worse experience ever.

When the movers picked up the items it was great quickly pack and wrapped the items and put them in the truck carefully. Delivery was another story. First they pulled out our $4,000 cal king mattress which was folded like a taco. Our twin mattress had some type of diesel fuel all over the mattress. We had box springs with 1.5” hole completely through the mattress. Our electric fire place was completely broken into about 6 pieces and unrepairable. This was all documented on the delivery bill. Pictures were taken of each item and copies of delivery documentation were submitted and claim was made. After ~70 days we were sent a letter saying they would settle claim for $78. We would need to sign the waiver and have it notarized (another $10). Screw the $78 (.60 cents per pound). Do not use these people unless you want most of your stuff broken and or stained. They tell you you should buy insurance for the move which is an additional $500 for a $4,500 move. I wish they would let me post pictures of the items damaged. Horrible, horrible and horrible. Never again. This is just a warning for others. I am screwed but hopefully you will read this and save yourself the heartache we have experienced. My next review is going to be at the Better Business Bureau.
