  1. Moving Shark Company Hired Scandalous Third Party Mover.

Beware of this "moving shark" company. They set up this over the phone quote to try and count the items without a rep coming over to physically count the items (red flag but I didn't realize this was a problem until later on as I was clueless to this industry practice) so a phone quote was given. This $2600 which sounded great the quote turned out to be a joke and it seemed that the counting of actual items was pretty close to double despite us going over the items multiple time when the movers actually showed up. The movers weren't not even Presidential moving it turned out Presidential outsources to smaller companies and gives them work when they don't have a truck and drive in your area. It turned out the third party companied was some extremely janky crooked company who showed up in a Penske based out of Los Angeles. With later further research a company with a very similar name had been shut down and strikes against their DOT number for not following DOT code. So Presidential sent over these thieving crooks called Coastal Transport who were really a rag tag of mafiosio looking bandits & ex cons. They counted the items up and told us the price was more than double. The price changed insanely from the quote. At first they wanted to charge close to 7,000 dollars and make up fictitious numbers on labor, fictitious numbers on the cost per item. I pretty much told him you get it down to $5,000 (which was extremely nice on my end) or I am unpacking that truck with my brother in laws right now. They agreed but this isn't the end of it.. They took off toward Utah and we were finally about ready to leave, Coast Transport said they were planning to get there in 2 days and they had no other stops and they swore they could be easily reached.. Well we called them before we left Flagstaff which was going to be a two day drive. They weren't answering their phone which was extremely worriesome. We blew up their phone until finally they answered and said the truck broke down and for some reason were in Colorado (which mind you was not along the route they were supposed to go) and said that where they broke down they had to get towed to Denver (a blatant lie they could've been towed to Salt Lake City which was much closer and it was closer to where we needed to end up) they said the Turbo blew on a truck with 12,000 miles (yeah ok whatever, they never provided any documentation) and showed up 3 days late with our stuff, much of it manhandled items with several items crushed and damaged. I drove a Penske myself on the previous move and I never broke anything.. What manhandling monkeys.. A moving crew of Gorillas would've done better, not from a so called moving company. Turns out the moving insurance was virtually useless and would've given us dimes on the dollars per item which came out to around 30 cents a pound. So we couldn't really recoup anything there. Then they finally show up in Ogden with our stuff and the crooked owner (who by the way was not there and had already left for another job in another state) sent his thieving minion to try to haggle us out. They tried to give us a sky high final bill telling us the truck was supposedly overweight, they showed us the weigh slip which seemed about right. What happened is they had a document where we had signed and right in front of us tried to change the charge per pound rate and write in something totally different. I told them to f** off and they can't legally change a signed contract. I told the owner over the phone I have your DOT number and can easily call in and report your DOT number for not following industry practices and holding items hostage. They finally caved because they were just trying to take advantage of us and really just wanted easy money. Once I told them the cops will be here if you don't agree to the original price per pound (which came out to around $4800) they had us sign the new contract, unlocked the truck and began unloading. They unloaded everything and there was a tablet upstairs on a table charging. Due to the frenzy of the move we didn't notice until a day later it was clearly missing. We unpacked and tore through the house and it was never seen again even though it was on an obvious spot. The POS driver stole the $400 tablet to try to recoup some money. If you'd like to report their DOT number to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration here it is: 1107347

    Here's all their info:

    COAST TRANSPORT INC

    U.S. DOT#: 1107347

    Address: 17552 WILLARD STREET
    NORTHRIDGE, CA 91325
    Number of Vehicles: 1
Number of Drivers: 1 (they lied to DOT, they have multiple unregistered drivers)
    Number of Inspections: 6

They've even had an inspection report and failed multiple driver inspections. They only have one CDL licensed driver on their team the rest are ex cons who simply drive a rental penske and mark up the services for shady ghetto moving services by thousands.

  2. Licence was pulled by feds earlier in the year.

Can't believe these guys are back on the road and back to their tricks. They moved us last September. Our original quote was under 10,000. The day they packed the truck it became almost $14000. They caused damage to the house we were leaving. They are a broker. (John lied about that) They did not deliver the furniture on the designated date. We had about $4000 in damages and no reimbursement. Tony never got back to us after they were pulled from the road. I CANNOT believe that our Federal Dept of Transportation allowed them back on the road. I think it may be time to see if a small claims court can help us.

  3. Presidential Moving Services.

We moved from Missouri to Vancouver, Wa. They put our things in storage for 5 months. Three months after they picked up our stuff we started hearing bad things about the company. We tried to call but all numbers had been disconnected. Out of the blue a month after the scheduled delivery a truck shows up with our stuff, most of it anyway. Many items missing, broke or damaged! Our cost had doubled and they would not release items until paid. Local police would not help! Since than 12 individuals have been indicted. This can be googled. If this has happened to you, call 800-424-9071 o r hotline@oig.dot.gov. You can also file with the department of transportation in your area.

  4. Lost everything I own.

Worst experience ever!! They picked up 6/10 the last Ive ever seen my stuff. Always put off. They didn't tell me they were a broker. The guy they got to pick up the load doesn't respond, the driver wont take calls. Last I heard my stuff is in Georgia not Oregon where it should be. it's been almost 3 months.I can't get any help with getting it delivered. All lines go to voice mail then it's full. I'm looking into getting help through legal means. All I want is my stuff.

  5. Still have not received my fathers belongings!!

I have been in limbo for months and can not get a response, the phone lines are not working and I have yet to get my fathers items after he relocated from Michigan to North Carolina. They added $1500 to the original quote so I can Only imagine what he will have to pay for them storing the items. All of the email addresses I have are coming back undeliverable and I am At wits end. The original quote was for a little over $2000 and jumped to around $3500, I was not in Michigan at the time of loading but I know for a fact my father-in-law did not have that many belongings as we got rid of most of his stuff during the packing stage.
If anyone has contact information please let me know. Thanks, Amy in NC.

  6. Con Artists.

Everything you read is true. They quote cheap..Load Truck, say you go over, charge you more. Unload stuff-Stuff is broken, scratched and shattered slate on pool table that was crated. Submitted a packet for reimbursement on damage..Waited 3 months..Tony responded with their decision is in mail 4 months and still nothing. Do not use them..My name is Mark 859-893-1332. I am a real person feel free to call me.

  7. A Scam.

Working with Presidential was one of worst experiences of my life. I did finally receive 90% of my items but the majority of the furniture was damaged, and several critical pieces were missing from the delivery. I filed a claim and it was returned to me unopened. After they receive your money, you will never hear from them again!

  8. Complete Bait And Switch Operation.

This company deserves negative stars and to be taken to court for their bait and switch tactics. Do NOT sign any agreements from this company.

Todd at Presidential moving company completely mislead me into believing a certain price would be there I was quoted $1800 to move from Austin to Denver, Colorado and then when the movers showed up to my house 3 days prior to moving my equipment and belongings, the driver quoted me $4600 dollars. That's 255% increase! As others have said, do NOT sign anything from them. Here is the information from the gentleman that completely scammed me.

I was left with moving myself and all of my belongings over 2 days, getting 6 miles to the gallon renting a uhaul box truck and car hauler across texas in the middle of no where with my dog. Please reach out to me if you decide to go with them anyways.

  9. DO NOT USE This Company.

Do not use this company. They will rip you off. On the day of pick up they demanded a &100 tip to begin with. We were quoted one price then told it was apx $1,000 more. Our representative at presidential would not return calls. They lost some boxes. One contained prescription drugs. Another had her dad's Purple Heart. They were a day late for drop off. Where they demanded cash and another $100 tip. We we told they would take a check but driver refused check. Cash only. Upon opening boxes items were broken or damaged. To make a claim you had to know date and price of the item when you purchased it. I repeat DO NOt use this company. You will get ripped off. It was a horrible stressful experience.

  10. I won't use again.

My belongings were supposed to arrive 12/20/17, They arrived 02/06/2018! HIGHLY STRESSFUL! They increased price at pick up $250.00 due to packing. My antique book shelf missing some shelves- and leg broben had to be glued. Moving is a complex stressful event anyway. This Co is impossible to reach also when you feel lost and wondering where your belongings are. Mine were stuck in Missouri where I moved from for almost 2 months. I should have used Allied instead the cost would have been just a little more but probably worth it.

  11. Brenda.

My belongings were picked up on time December 19,2017 (that's were the positive review ends), after 3 men loaded my items they stated the cubic ft was inaccurate and increased the balance by $600.00. It is now February 21, 2018 and I still DO NOT have my belongings. Please note any type of response IS NOT normal for this company, however; On February 12th I received an email notification that my stuff was being loaded again on a truck and would arrive within 2-4 days. That time has come and gone. Called February 19th for update, stated no later than the 20th I would have an update..that time has come and gone. Again I have emailed and called no response. PLEASE do not use this company!

  12. Run Away! Worst company ever.

This company lies to get your business and then holds your stuff hostage. If you are lucky you will recieve your most likely damaged items a month after they pick up. They also quoted a low price and tripled it! Hiring Presidential is the worst decision I ever made.

  13. Don't ever use this company. They are liars and cheats!

I had my quote from Nick for 2600 to move a livingroom, a dinning room set, a dresser and a bed.
They Charge you for the tape at $3.00 a roll add $300.00 for no reason and they don't tell you until they show up.
Then they said the load was larger because of the size of the items so the salesman's quote was being raised to $4200 from $2700..

They promised me 7 to 10 days delivery to California from NJ.
Then they called and lied to me three or four times telling me my truck was loading tomorrow. They never return calls.
They forced me to sign a contract for the increase as they were leaving with my furniture that I never got a chan ce to read.
On it they allow themselves 6 days to their dc and 30 business days top deliver your furniture.
They Lie, cheat and steal from you.

Never use them they are a fraud!

  14. Keeping my kids furniture.

My daughter was married in November, and in December moved to Colorado from Austin. The father of the groom hired these guys to move them. From what I understand, the father paid $4,000 to move them. They had a 1 bedroom apartment. Now that they are in Colorado and found a place to live, Presidential Movers are holding their furniture hostage for another $3,000. There is no way that their furniture is even worth that amount, but we would like to have it back. How dare you guys do that to anyone, but especially to some young kids starting their lives. I am now looking at hiring an attorney to help get their things back..

  15. Highly recommended.

Presidential moving came very highly recommended to my husband and I for a reliable very good costing professional moving company. When we spoke on the phone I had no issues no problems and no worries. On move day I had no issues no problems and no worries. Then when everything was being transported and a delivery we also had no issues no problems and no worries. Everything was delivered on time with no damage. I am very happy that we listen to our friends that highly recommended presidential moving to handle our move to a new state or my kids have to start a new school and get new friends. Thank you very much for looking after all of us and making sure that we get off to a new start.
