  1. Deceptive Cancellation Policy -.

    I wanted to move from Chicago to Aventura, Florida and I decided to go with Razor Van Lines to move all my household goods. After 24 hours I had to cancel the move. I inform Razor in writing immediately. I requested my money back on June 11, 2020 and until today I have not received my money. Customer service never picks up the phone. The experience trying to get my money back has been appalling. I have spent up to 48 minutes waiting for customer service. I have called more than 30 times and they always tell me that the delay is for the covi-19.I This looks like a scam. I paid $ 1,060 for not receiving anything. I want to let the naive know not to fall like me and never use RAZOR VAN LINES in their life.

    I had to put a star but they don't deserve one.. Stole my money and didn't even provide me with a service. Don't use them bad company very bad!! Thieves!!

  3. Very Unprofessional!

    I don’t fault the customer service reps, they can’t help that they work for an unscrupulous company. I have never been more jerked around with any other company. I’ve had to call several times to verify when my things would be picked up to be shipped, my date was pushed back three different times. Now I’m being told that it will take up to 14 days for my things to be delivered. When I initially contracted with them, I was told that it would 3 to 5 days for my things to ship, then the driver who picked up my things said it would take 7 to 10 days to ship. I called Razor today and was informed that it would take up to 14 days for my things to be delivered. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that supervisors don’t work over the weekend and I would have to call back on Monday. All I have to say is buyer beware, do your research. This company sucks!!

  4. This company is a scam!

    I was lied to so many times - it was all a con.

    They don't answer the phone nor respond to emails.

    Once they receive your deposit - you might as well give up!

    I spend hours and hours on the phone with most thoughtless and nasty people. My sales person provided me a bogus cell phone number. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER USING THEM!

  5. Lied about Estimate.

    DON’T EVER USE THEM. I was quoted $8,758 for our move by Razor Van Lines. I was contacted a few days prior to our move (which was a month after signing with them) and was told immediately on the phone that I was misquoted on our estimate and it was actually going to cost us $18,500. I was so upset and lied to. They refused to refund our deposit. We were 3 days out on our move and after arguing for hours with them my husband agreed to the $18,500. We then received a phone call from a 3rd party moving company, and as we went through the items, then informed us that we would need to pay an additional $6,000 on top of the $18,000. Sickened by all the false information and lies, we cancelled. We did not get any of our money back and they laughed at me when I called to explain how upset we were with what had happened.

  6. Scam at every step.

    -Arrived 1.5 days late to pick up (after refusing to tell us when they were going to come)

    -charged us $1000 more than quoted, even though we have 1/2 as many boxes (exactly the right size) as they quoted us for.

    -arrived 3 weeks late with our boxes

    -didn’t give us 24 hours notice for either pick up or delivery

    -arrived 6 hours late, at 10 pm for delivery.

  7. No just No!

    Do you have a score to settle? Is your life going too well? Do you have too much money? Are you happy? Do you sleep well at night time? If you answered yes to all these questions this company is for you. Not only will you lose money you will gain anxiety, stress ,aggravation and of course Sleepless nights. As an added bonus You will be lied to in every step of the process. Recommend to people you hate.

  8. Terrible experience - avoid this company.

    They increased the price 3 days before the move date, arrived three days late to pick up our stuff. The people who picked up our things did a good job but that is all the positive feedback I have for this company. The truck then arrived again three days late on a Sunday. Only the driver and his son were there to deliver our things and the truck could not get near our property so the driver first suggested that we get a pick up truck from a neighbor or hire a uhaul and then take our things from the truck to our house ourselves (which would defeat the purpose of hiring movers). Otherwise, he said he would take our stuff away and we would have to pay for storage. Luckily we (my partner and I) found a way for him to get closer and he agreed to carry our stuff from a side street for an additional 100 USD. The worst part was that he was very rude while we were figuring everything out. He also was not careful with our things once he finally unloaded them. My recommendation for everyone is to avoid this company.

  9. Look further.

    I would not use these people, if I were looking to move. Being generous, there were constant misrepresentations. Our stuff was supposed to be picked up Sunday or Monday. They didn’t call. Spent hours on hold trying to speak with someone. Then they were supposed to be there by 2;30 Tuesday. Then by 10 am Wednesday. Despite failing to fulfill the contract, I have been unable to get anyone to commit to refunding our money. The owner of the truck who was supposed to come Tuesday and Wednesday, told me they did not even get the order until Monday, which was supposed to have been the latest for them to pick up our stuff. This is not an exaggeration. At this point our stuff is still not moved, and we are looking into other options. We will probably be eating the deposit we gave this company. Do yourself a favor.. look elswhere.

  10. Move from NYC to Texas.

    Needed to move from a NYC apt to Texas. Got a low quote and went with Razor. Our agreement specified the specific date that we had the building elevator reserved and that our things would be dropped off at two locations in the Dallas area. We should have read the reviews so shame on us. Also should have been suspicious when they only take bank checks as payment. As soon as they had our non refundable deposit, we could no longer reach them. The week before our move they reached out to increase their price by approx $1,500, for which they wanted payment before the move. When we complained they said they were the movers and our deal is with Razor Then the evening before the move they called to say they would not be there until the day after our scheduled date. Luckily the building accommodated us and let us reserve the elevator a day later. Then when the movers were there they increased the price another approx $1,500, although everything was as we had described it. Once again they were just the movers and our deal was with Razor. Having no options we agreed to their price increase. Then they would make no commitment regarding when we could expect delivery in Texas. Almost three weeks later the movers called on a Saturday to say they were delivering the next day on Sunday and that it would be an additional $350 for two stops. And they wanted a bank check, which we have no way of getting on a Sunday. Of course Razor is unreachable. I truly believe this is a dishonest operation and should be investigated by law enforcement. Our original agreement of $2,800 has turned into over $6,000. Of course, reviews like this don’t help if idiots like me don’t read them. There are far to many similar experiences for this company to still be in business.

  11. Worst Move experience ever!! Do not use these people !!

    DO NOT USE Razor Van Lines for any move. I would give them a negative number of stars if possible..They scheduled my move and took my money but never delivered. Worst customer service ever as they are non-communicative and have not resolved my concerns in over 75 days of back and forth useless emails. Do NOT get ripped off by this company Don't trust these people to get anything resolved.

  12. Beware.

    Paid deposit. Canceling shortly thereafter. Promised refund within a certain amount of weeks. Still haven't seen it. Sent two emails and two phone calls. Now told by their staff answering phones(8/6/20) (754-241-2823) their bank has a hold on their funds due to someone frauding them. Hmmmm..

    Would give 0 stars if I could.

    If I could give a ZERO star rating, I would!! This has been the worst experience I have ever had moving (and I work for the government so I have had many experiences). PLEASE read this whole review so you don't have the same situation happen to you!! At first everything was going good.. I had a 30 day closing time frame, so reached out (through Angie's List) and Ryan from Razor called me almost immediately. He was very friendly and informative and was expressing how his company was one of the best. Unfortunately I fell for it. Communication was good up until 2 days before my move. The Thursday before my scheduled pickup I got a call, verifying the stuff I had to be picked up and made some adjustments (which almost doubled the price). I was told I would receive a call no later than the day before my "first" scheduled date (they give a 2 day window for the packing). The day before my "moving day" I still hadn't gotten a call. I sent emails but never heard anything back. On the Monday morning I called Ryan's number but he didn't return my call (and subsequent calls to his voice mail were stopped because his box was full - or he was blocking me). I then called the 888 number, after 50 minutes in the "queue" I finally spoke to someone and they said.."we have two days blocked for you so you will get a call later today." OK, so mid day I got a call from the "driver" saying he was running behind and needed a couple extra days for the pickup (he said he was still in CO on another job). I told him I didn't have a couple more days, I scheduled the move to coincide with my closing. He said "I will call my supervisor and they will get back to you". NOTHING..no call. By late afternoon I still hadn't heard anything so I called the 888 number. After 80 minutes in the queue, I spoke with Victoria, she was pleasant and said she might have a backup option and would call me back in the morning. Next morning..crickets..nothing. So I called again to the 888 number (after trying Ryan again and still full voicemail). After 45 minutes I spoke to another woman (I was so frustrated I didn't get her name). She said "in paragraph 14, it states that we aren't responsible for delays". She also stated "it isn't like we have trucks right here in our parking lot." I was basically told that the almost $3000 that I have pre-paid for this service was non-refundable because they are not responsible for the delays. I ended up having to rent a U-Haul, purchase a bunch of boxes and myself and my two 70+ y/o friends packed my condo and loaded it into the truck, so I could meet my obligation of being out of my home for the closing deadline. I did get a call from Victoria today (only because I sent a scathing email requesting a refund) and she basically said sorry, the delay was not our fault and we were willing to "reschedule" your packing/move but you chose not to accept a different date. Of course I didn't..I follow through with my obligations! How a company stays in business with this type of service I do not understand. Wait..I do..if they keep $2000-$3000 from every customer that they fail to provide a service for..that's a VERY nice business plan.

  14. Completely unprofessional, Do NOT trust with your home.

    This company is completely unprofessional and takes no responsibility for their actions. I hired them for a cross country move from NYC to Minnesota. First off, the move costed over 2x as much as the original quote. Second, they subcontracted me to another moving company. This company damaged quite a bit of my property during the move: broken dishes, furniture, pictures, etc. I reached out to the company representative to let him know this subcontracted company was awful and completely destroyed the majority of my stuff. They took no responsibility. In fact, they never responded to my complaint at all. Completely unprofessional, irresponsible and untrustworthy. DO NOT HIRE!!

  15. Misrepresentation, verbal abuse when cancelled.

    DON"T USE THIS COMPANY! Their customer rep told us they wouldn't run the withdrawal from our bank until after the 3 day period. They ran is the day AFTER we cancelled (within the 3 day period) in writing. When we called to let him know that we cancelled, he said, "F%#) you, F#$(ing faggot!" We asked to speak to mgr, but were told no one was available. Same with their accounting dept. Filed complaint with Florida Attorney General as well.
