Incomplete Service
Arrived late to the job. Only 70% of the job was complete. Broke a vase without notifying the owner. Took extended time to complete job. Used service in Feb 2021 which cost $900. The same service October 2021 cost $1900. Beware. Do not use this company. Management didn’t see a problem with the service.

Schea Van Lines was there when no one else was for us. While we were stressed, they delivered. Could not be more grateful for the team of four and two trucks that were sent out last minute for us. I was beyond grateful as they truly made the entire thing possible. No question I will suggest them to anyone in need of a solid relocation service. Thanks a ton gentlemen. Couldn’t have done it without you.

Schea Van Lines handled a good portion of our moving and storage in our transition phase. All was handled properly and there was a good amount of attention to detail. The service we received was certainly better than any other moving experience we've had in the past. Thankful we chose Schea to assist. We will phone them in future need be.

Our family phoned Schea Van Lines in Mason to take us locally from Lebanon to Mason. Schea Van Lines was great. They sent someone out to estimate our job after we phoned the office for a quote. This estimate was thorough and fairly accurate which was helpful. Not only did the estimate give us a good idea as to what the final cost would be, the estimate also gave us great tips on prep. Schea Van Lines took care of everything from A to B and we were grateful for it.

Moving is extremely difficult and demanding work. I’m pleased to say we made the right choice by selecting these guys for the job. It was difficult and challenging at times, but they pulled it off and did so properly. I can’t say that I have any desire to move again near future, but when I do these guys will certainly get the call. Thanks again big time gentlemen for the hard work and commitment you gave us.
Schea Van Lines Delivered.
Schea Van lines delivered when we needed it the most. We were about a week out from the original move date and our original buyers had complications with their closing on our home. This required us to need a last minute storage option so we could make everything work out as we needed to. Schea Van Lines not only provided us with the last minute storage option, but sent an estimator out to retake a look at things to give us an idea as to how much storage would be needed. This last minute touch was very helpful considering we felt helpless until they arrived. Schea Van Lines did a fine job easing our stress.

In the month leading up to our actual move date we interviewed a number of moving companies. Schea Van Lines was one of those companies. They clearly interviewed the best. They did promise us the world at the time of the sale, naturally. However, all of the promises Schea Van Lines had made were kept, imagine that. They promised us that all furniture would be protected prior to handling. They promised that our home would be protected prior to working in it. On the actual day of the move Schea Van Lines protected every piece of furniture and furthermore they properly prepared the home. We are now comfortably living in our three bedroom home in Franklin, all thanks to Schea Van Lines.

Hired Blue Oak Moving for a SE MI to Mid-MI move. Andrew and Tyler exceeded my expectations! They arrived on time, were very professional (addressing my concerns about moving some family antique pieces, and offering suggestions on a couple other pieces). They worked efficiently and took great care loading items into the truck. I highly recommend them.

Schea Van Lines and Blue Oak Moving handled my recent move from Milford to Grand Rapids. My company paid for the move fortunately so I did not compare rates. However, I have much experience with moving companies. I've had the misfortune of dealing with sloppy companies that were all about "jam it in and let's go." Fortunately these guys were different. The driver explained to my husband and I that the company has a policy that all wood pieces must have moving blankets wrapping them before they are aloud to take out of the house. Initially I felt the wrapping was a bit excessive, but it made all the difference.
My pieces arrived in Grand Rapids in pristine condition and the guys were polite throughout the entire day. I can't imagine the amount of hard work it takes to move an entire home in a single day only to have a smile on the face at the end of the day. Real life superheros these men were.
We made certain to have them for pizzas and pop after the move. I asked them what part of town they would be staying in for the evening. They replied "We're going back to Cincinatti!" Very impressive. I liked the guys alot and the company itself kept me updated and well prepared prior.

We had a really good experience with Schea Van Lines. Called them to take care of moving a 3 bedroom from Rochester to Lake Orion in April. They came out with all of the right equipment and a few nice men. The guys were very helpful and the job went faster than initially expected. I thought it would be a long painful day, but these guys were done in just a few hours.
They left us with a handshake and a job well done. Great work from these guys, thank you for everything. My go to guys for trucking and labor.
Our move 7/9/17.
We were extremely pleased with our Schea moving experience yesterday. We needed to move many very heavy items from our parents home to ours and Shawn and James were amazing! They went above and beyond to ensure our items came intact as shrink wrapped almost everything and really took the extra steps. They were very professional and helpful to us and our parents. Everyone I dealt with in their office was helpful also and Kim even returned my call on a Sunday morning when I had a question within minutes. All in all we will use them for any moving needs in future and we highly recommend their services. Thank you Schea for all your help yesterday!
Company doesn't keep promised quote.
I hired this company for our 20 mile move from one house to another about 3 weeks ago. I had asked the representive from the company to come out and see what I needed moved but they said to just tell them what I had and they'd give me a quote over the phone. I should have known better, so it should be no surprise that our move ended up costing $500 more then quoted and they damaged 2 walls in our home. There customer service is terrible and the people working there seem miserable as well. Stay away from this shady moving company.

Schea Van Lines was with our family every step of the way. We had a rather complex move, but with the help of Schea Van Lines all went smooth. It started with a four bedroom home that we had been living in for over twelve years. It had about 12 years of things, making the thought of moving fairly intimidating.
Schea Van Lines sent a specialist out to estimate the home. The gentlemen logged all pieces of furniture we had and noted items that would require special attention from the men at Schea Van Lines. Furthermore he dropped off complimentary packing supplies which was a nice touch.
The next day we received a clear and informative estimate for an operation of four staff and two large moving vans. The estimate was wrote for an hourly rate of $178/hour of service and a single truck charge of $199 for both of the trucks. The pricing wasn't the cheapest I found, but it was still competitive and we were willing to pay slightly additional to have the right men take care of the job.
On the big moving day, sure enough four men and two trucks arrived form Schea Van Lines as promised within the scheduled window. The lead staff member Scott assured my family all would be handled by days end. The men prepped all doorways, staircases, and banisters. The furniture was all wrapped correctly, and the men continued working hard throughout the day.
From the four-bedroom home we had previously lived in, one Schea Van Line truck went to our storage unit, the other went to our new condo. The organization and direction was efficient and preplanned. This made the overall day go alot better than I had initially anticipated. After twelve hours of moving, all of our furnishings were properly relocated into storage and into the new home. I was impressed by how quickly all went and how it was done properly. Schea Van Lines took a stressful day and made it better. Schea Van Lines all the way!
