  1. Do not use this Company.

After numerous delays due to computer glitches my boxes finally arrived today. One of them was completely unsealed!! I have just sorted through and numerous items are chipped and broken. Learn from my mistakes and don't use this Company!

  2. Great service and tracking.

I used Seven Seas to ship boxes from Australia to Canada and then a medium move cube from Canada back to Australia. In both situations I found the quote accurate with no hidden fees. Fine print is detailed, and lengthy, but clear on expectations. I was able to track my shipment in the months that it took and received emails at key points in the process. Delivery was received today, no issues, everything was intact and the process quick. Would definitely use them again!

  3. Don't even bother.

Everything started out great, the quote was reasonable the times absolutely doable. But after I paid, it turned out I'd also have to pay to get it through customs. They didn't tell me that before. Then they tell me I haven't paid the first amount and say that I'll need to pay for storage. Except I did. I had the exact same conversation 2 weeks in a row because they weren't noting information correctly.
Then, after I got it through customs, I waited, expecting to have my packages deliver to my new address. Nothing. I looked at the tracker and it said my boxes were on a ship somewhere, so I waited. Still nothing. Finally, I call, and it turns out my boxes have been in storage, and they 'sent me an email saying to call to organize delivery.' I never received an email. So now I've had to pay for storage as well.
Their tracker isn't accurate, and they've consistently lost information, and end up wanting payment. Go with someone else. Anyone else.

  4. Great service.

I booked our belongings to be shipped from Ireland to Australia. The site was easy to navigate and the call centre operators were always helpful. We packed our own boxes however they were re packed by the company as the boxes were a little damaged during transit. I guess they aren’t going to be perfect being handled so many times. Our items were in the same condition we packed them. The courier was polite, helpful and on time. We also got to chose the delivery date.

  5. Massive increase in price.

After my items were collected I was informed that the cost of shipping would be $310 - not $220 as I’d originally been quoted. I measured the suitcases carefully myself and cannot believe that the dimensions are so inaccurate as to incur a $90 additional charge. In addition there was no communication about which suitcases supposedly did not meet quoted dimensions and the customer service team hung up on me when I tried to get this information
    Job ref: 000/306/574.

  6. Refuse to pay out on insurance.

I've already written a number of reviews regarding Seven Seas on Trustpilot but the more exposure my situation gets the better. The move itself went well and my review would be 5 star except for Seven Seas continual refusal to pay out a small insurance claim. Two items were damaged on arrival. I had taken out premium insurance and so took photos of the damaged items assuming they would do the right thing and reimburse me for the damage. I then became embroiled in a game of tag between Seven Seas and their insurance broker because I had no evidence of damage to the box items arrived in. I didn't have this because there was no damage to the box. It's obvious the damage to my goods was caused by Seven Seas or their agents and a company with any moral fibre would realise this and pay out. Not Seven Seas, they hide behind hard to find small print and would rather spend time explaining why they cannot reimburse me. Don't use them, find another company and hope they actually know the meaning of customer service.

  7. Update to clarify.

    Update to clarify.

Upon getting a response from Seven Seas I’d like to clarify a few things.

First of all, I chose to write a review on the service I received from this company which is what I thought a review was for.. I paid for a service that let me down so one star is what you get. Not sure why they acting surprised, I used Seven seas to ship 2 boxes and they lost it. They paid me an amount that covered shipping for losing this but that’s not the point at all. I didn’t insure it because the items have zero value to anyone but me.. yes, their customer service didn’t fail but the service overall didn’t meet expectations at all. I still don’t have my shipment..which was the reason I used this company’s services. I wasn’t happy when the items were lost and am still not happy so please don't think that I was fine after dealing with their customer service manager (nice as she was) and receiving a pay out. Money isn’t everything you know.

Our shipment of 2 boxes were lost after it shipped from South Africa to Canada. I was confused when I received 2 shipping confirmations 3 months apart. Apparently it didn’t ship directly and made a stop in China. Ok, but then I received an email saying it’s now considered lost. I’m beyond heartbroken as there are some very sentimental stuff in those boxes that can’t be replaced by any form of compensation. I can understand a small package getting misplaced or one box but both massive boxes? Very clearly marked? I’m so sad.

Company response to Heyla Williams's review:
    Dear Heyla,

Seven Seas Worldwide deeply regret the loss of your possessions and since you had not insured your shipment, we offered you an ex gratia gift to the value of the shipping cost. We are a little surprised that you chose to post this review having settled the matter with our customer service manager almost 6 months after your items were lost.

However if you have any further queries please contact us.

    Regards,
    Seven Seas Worldwide.

  8. Multiple items broken and damaged!!

Do not use this company!! I shipped 9 boxes from Ireland to Australia on arrival to Australia a number of the boxes were damaged and many items inside the boxes were broken. One box in particular which has large 'FRAGILE' signs all over it looked like it has been used as a football. It was completely smashed and bashed in. Inside the box, the crockery which had been individually wrapped in the paper, twice then heavily wrapped in bubble wrap was broken. Among the other boxes, multiple items were broken even though they were also heavily wrapped in bubble wrap. Seven seas refused to take any responsibility and refused to provide any compensation for all the damages. They took weeks and weeks to reply to my emails and calls. The whole experience was very upsetting as some of the items that were broken had a lot of sentimental value. My advice is to find another company as these guys are unprofessional and clearly don't care about their customers.

  9. Strongly ADVISE AGAINST using this company.

Their system can’t handle shipments from one person to another. The website wouldn’t let me complete my documentation which delayed things for two weeks. The original arrival date was delayed by two weeks and then by a further week. This meant it arrived in the country on 20th December. Their website had no information at all about holiday closures but the depot was closed until 3rd January. No one had contacted me by 3rd so I called them and they said maybe I would get it on Monday 7th. This meant taking a day off work, so after an immediate payment they agreed to deliver it on the afternoon of Friday 4th January. The van arrived and the driver unlocked my MoveCube and emptied it out into my hands, item by item. He dropped a marble lamp base onto the ground. I was very unhappy that my personal effects were being rifled through by a stranger and feel that this was a significant breach of my privacy but I was in no position to complain. BTW, don’t expect the Tracking to be accurate. I watched it tell me my shipment was still on the ship travelling all round New Zealand and back up past Adelaide and Perth before I was told it had been sent to the local depot. I complained and got a long and grovelling email which said nothing.

  10. We were told 1 amount and 2 more invoices later.

We ended up paying 2 x more than initially quoted and it took an extra 6 weeks than quoted too. Actually we are yet to receive the package. but they keep taking the money. would highly recommend you do not use this company.

  11. A reasonable budget service, ruined by theft and denials.

The price for a medium move cube to Australia from the UK was reasonable, around £800 all in.
The company provides tape, craft knife and markers for assistance in packing which is a nice touch, and even lends some cones for marking the spot on the road where the move cube will be put, again pretty good for a budget service.

At this point in the process the only gripe that I had was the response to email queries was delayed, generally answering between 1-2 days later, possibly because their administration is in another country, but for pricing enquiries this seems too long.
There were no problems with the pickup, and the transit time to Australia was three months - again this is about average.
The main reason that I left this terrible review is that after delivery to Australia, I stored the boxes in a storage facility for two months. Some of the boxes had been opened due to a customs inspection. As I went through the items, two suits and a vacuum hose were missing, and when I raised several enquiries regarding the missing items the only response was: "Thank you for your message but I regret that, as previously corresponded, we are unable to pursue a claim with the insurers for this distressing issue.
However I am certainly sorry that such a disappointing conclusion to your shipment has so very regrettably occurred."

Seven Seas Worldwide only honours its insurance claims if the theft is notified within one month of delivery - this is a clause in the contract that you definitely need to be made aware of, if you are putting the goods in storage like me. There was no attempt to explain the theft from my belongings. This is unacceptable.

  12. Lost in translation.

The packages were supposed to arrive at a max shipping of 108 days. 145 days later and they have arrived. To add to the chaos they have added charges to the shipment and now are holding our equipment for ransom. Don't worry about complaining either as you might as well e-mail a ghost.. !!

  13. Lost at sea?

    Yet again, appalling!
Early September tracker said arrive in Newcastle 1st October 2018.
3rd October it said arrive in Felixstowe 4th October.
I emailed Susan Zhang (CS contact handling my shipping) to query. 'Out of office' reply.
I forward query to customer services. NO reply.
Where are my boxes? No idea. Probably still in China.
Complaints procedure does not exist, stays in customer services.
I suspect my boxes are 'lost in the post'.

  14. Terrible company and service!

Absolutely disgraceful customer service from start..still not finished yet.. if it arrives will be 2 months late!! We had one decent shipment with this company so went with them again.. big mistake! Without going into paragraphs of details.. still waiting for a manager to call me back for over 2 days now. This is the 3rd time of asking to speak to managers regarding the shipment.. yet to speak to one yet!

  15. I was conned by Seven Seas.

I needed items shipped from Sydbey Australia to Michigan. After nunerous phone conversations with different companies I decided to go with Seven Seas because it was marginally cheaper than everyone else..or so I thought. I was quoted at around $1400 for my items. I then was told that I would have to pack everything myself at that price..fine. then when moving day came, I was told I have to move all of my belongings myself to the truck..ooook. The items were then dispatched to Hong Kong and they sat there forever. After 3+ months I then get another bill from Seven Seas stating that I owe $1200 still. After much confusion, I was told by Seven Seas that I now have to pay the US to move the rest of my items from NY to Detroit. What?! That was never ever ever discussed when I was being quoted and spoke several times to customer service. I'm disgusted at the lack of transparency. Stupid stupid stupid me should have gone with the other companies that would have packed and wrapped my belongings for me, ans probably would have arrived already! Don't make the same mistake I did. Go elsewhere And save some money!!
