  1. Fraud And Fake

    Above is the text I received, they will have you pay 33% initially and later contract it to a third party who charges double the amount you signed up for.

    They will show up either a day early or late and inform you just a day in advance to make sure you are not prepared to tackle the situation.

    I was quoted for 2200 and ended up paying 4500

    They only accept Zille, Venmo or cashier check so beware before committing to them.

  2. Fake Representation

    BEWARE: I hired supposed "SH" moving company who promised me they were not brokers and would personally provide us with a professional move at a guaranteed price on a guaranteed day. I gave a substantial downpayment through VENMO with an agreed upon 50% of total amount due upon load in and the balance upon delivery, all which was outlined in our signed contract. Movers came a day -1/2 early, they were subcontractors in a budget rental truck and told me I had to pay twice as much as I had contracted for 400 cubic ft of furniture and had to pay 75% upon pick up. No one will answer my calls or text messages. I believe this is a fake company. Please beware. I lost my deposit and no one will answer my calls or texts. Lucas Wood was my contact.

  3. Scam Artists

    If you want an inaccurate estimate and pay a thousand more than you are promised, by all means use this company. They'll tell you if you add a couple things the price won't change. Once you pay the initial payment and your stuff is on the move, the operator will not respond to you anymore. Especially that guy Blake. He's a scam artist. I tried calling with a different number and they blatantly hung up. By the time they are ready to deliver, they told me the street is too narrow and tried to charge me 500 more. The street was wide enough cause it had 2 lanes. Then when it came to the destination they left my stuff in the lobby of the building and didn't bother to deliver it to my apartment. Awful company. Use a different company! I couldn't stress it enough.

  4. Wish they would return my calls!

    I've never used a moving company before, but we decided to call in the professionals for our last move (SoCal to Albuquerque.) The actual movers were fantastic! On time, friendly, skilled and competent. But the company? They wanted to charge us hundreds more than the estimate, until we came to a compromise. They came on June 9th, and our estimated arrival was for July 2nd. Today is July 16th. We've called several times to get an ETA, with absolutely no response. A simple call back is all we want! I'm hoping that this review will accomplish that. We shall see.

  5. DO NOT USE S H MOVERS

    Please oh please...DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. They swindled me for $1000. Which I paid extra for 5 day delivery. The truck showed up almost 3 weeks LATE. Some of my stuff was broken. The movers absolutely did not care at all. Listen moving is stressful enough, please do your homework on moving companies. I truly wish I did. Stay away from the shysters. I called, I emailed, left multiple messages for this company to call me back and I heard nothing but crickets. Shame on them!!!

  6. Estimate went up by 50 percent

    I got a quote for $2500 from Sales on phone (Mike). I told him i read several reviews about the price changing when a driver is sent out to pick the items and he told me thats not true as long as i hive accurate description of items. I decided to even send pictures of my sofa to make sure it is properly quoted. Finally when the day of the move came the driver told me my items is about 570 cubic feet and not the 300+ i was given by the sales guy so my price will be $4700. Please just sell your items or deal with a small business owner that can come review your items. Dont deal with these movers they will frustrate your. Don’t forget they will never accept debit cards, but payment via quickbooks because they know the kind of business they do is shady and you wont be able to file a claim with tour bank. When you pay that deposit over the phone no refund

  7. Worst movers ever

    Do not use this so called company unless you want your items damaged, boxes crushed and you want to pay 35% over your original estimate! They are the worst and I will be filing a claim and contacting Attorney General’s of NY & NJ. Guess the SH stands for S**t!

  8. Lost my furniture

    SH Movers lost my coffee table. During the move, they had to change trucks because the one they loaded my furniture on broke down. During that process they left my coffee table off the truck that eventually delivered the rest of my furniture. The driver stated my coffee table was at their warehouse. When I called the company, they confirmed it was in the warehouse and they would call when they had another truck going to my area. After months of calling they now state they don't have my table.Now they won't take my phone calls and are not following up with their warehouse manager to see where my coffee table is. They stated they would email a claim form which they have not done. What really sucks is they are screening my calls and refuse to call back to settle this issue. I called them from my phone, which they let go to voice mail, then immediately called from another phone, which they answered. They have poor customer services skills and do not work to resolve issues. If they had the foresight and called their warehouse manager in the beginning to see where my coffee table is, then this issue could be resolved by now. This table was my mother's table who died of COVID in January, so it is a special table for me.

  9. Nightmare

    I never recieved a call from the movers to confirm a pick up time, and on Saturday (the day after my desired pickup date) no one had called. After trying to reach someone all morning, someone finally picked up and said they would come between 5-7pm. Long story short, the drivers came 3 hours after that and had no room in their truck to take my stuff, and also stated that I had more stuff than I told them, which wasn't true at all. They gave me a cost of $3500 more than the estimate if I wanted to move my stuff. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. This moving company sub-contracts and cannot locate their drivers. I chose to get a refund on the deposit and never use their services. But what an inconvinience to have when you are moving down the coast and the movers pull this on the day of your move.

  10. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY

    This is our 4th interstate move in nine years and we have never been more upset and disillusioned by a moving company. This move was coast to coast from New York to California. Starting with the basic facts that they touted being a carrier and not a broker, they hired another company to move us. They had given us an estimate for the move and the week before the move adjusted the estimate (higher!) than the initial one after my husband walked room to room and described what was in each one. They did not give us an opportunity to have someone come to the house to give an estimate based on what they say. That was our mistake to not require it! Please, make sure that you have your movers give an estimate with a visit to your home.

    Once the movers came, they loaded the truck and then told us that there is too much stuff and they would need to return the next day with another truck. They charged extra for the second truck and TRIPLED the price of the estimate. (Seriously, initial estimate was $7,800 adjusted to $8546.62 with a final price of $18,390!) To top it off, when my husband negotiated the driver said that the total will be $15,000 (still, twice the initial price) and it turned out that it was the remaining balance after our deposit.

    Once the second truck arrived, they still did not fit all of our items and we were left with a need to get rid of items that we had intended on bringing, which we now need to replace.

    Once the movers arrived in California, they unloaded the truck. There were many broken items (chairs, LOTS of broken dishes) and most of the boxes were crushed (!!!) including wardrobe boxes, major dents to the refrigerator, box freezer, and metal toolboxes. The movers were supposed to assemble our three beds. My husband took the lead on assembling the King-sized bed when they were completely overwhelmed by it. They also left numerous boxes in the yard and didn’t even bring them into the house, and left garbage in front of the house.

    Of course, the movers had us sign documents the night before they left. There was NO WAY to assess damages or to know what, if anything, was missing. We ended up with someone else’s items (this man was smart enough to have his business card attached to one item) so I was able to contact him. No idea where our missing items are.

    I have contacted the company and gotten no response.

  11. Do not recommend at all.

    Their initial estimate is apparently based on data they have regarding the "average" size (in cubic feet) of the various pieces of furniture you tell them that have to be moved. In my case, their estimate was woefully inaccurate, and the price of my move effectively DOUBLED after all of my things were already on the truck. I actually had to throw away a couch that I had wanted to keep because I couldn't afford to move it, as the price would have gone even higher. However, I will say that the guys that came to my home to pack everything up did a decent job.

    Once everything is picked up, the contract states that it will be delivered in between 7-14 business days. Unfortunately, once your items are picked up, the salesperson you spoke with to make the deal is useless to you, as they have no info on logistics for the delivery. You are directed to send a TEXT to a random number for information on your delivery date and time. If/When you get a response, they generally have no idea when the delivery will be, but they tell you that you'll be notified 24 hours before the delivery date. In my case, I was notified approximately 16 hours before, and at the time I was 450 miles away finishing up at my old residence. Had to drive all night to be there for my 7am delivery.

    By 9am, the driver had not shown. I called him on the number that he called me from, and was informed that he had run into traffic and had to stop driving the night before. He'd be arriving around 11am. Fine. When he arrives, I'm told that before he does anything, I need to pay the balance. I ask to make sure all my things are on the truck, and am told no, pay first, then we start unloading. If anything is missing, put in a claim.

    Overall, my items arrived in decent shape. However, the driver appeared to be the only one associated in any way with SH Movers. The other two guys appeared to be local hired day-laborers to help carry stuff, and were not professional movers, hence all the scuffs on my new walls. Oh, and there was no effort at all on their part to re-assemble my bed frames or anything like that. When I asked about it, the driver was confused and said, "you want us to do that"? I told them to forget it and just leave.

    My advice? If you truly need to move furniture (and you REALLY need to think about this before you make a decision), hire a professional moving company. You'll pay more, but you'll get piece of mind.

  12. ABSOLUTE LIES!!!

    Where do I start............. I moved my daughter from Oklahoma to Wisconsin in January. At the time she was 7 months pregnant. She gave me a detailed list of her belongings and I contracted SH Movers. Total was 375 cu.ft. When the mover came (1 day late) no-one spoke English. She told them several times that not everything was being moved yet they continued to load her landlords stuff. Nearing the end they told her she had 675 cu.ft. so the price went from $2594 to $5600+!! When the items were delivered, the driver told me there was 375 cu. ft. which is exactly what we told them to begin with! There were 10 boxes missing, her glass top stove was broken, items were mis-marked e.g. a vacuum, wooden bed slats, a laundry basket and a swiffer mop were all marked as Large boxes! I called to complain and was given the number of a third party insurance adjuster. I filed a claim for missing items, over-charge and broken items including the stove. The total amount I claimed was $2083. plus $500 for the stove and $1000 for the missing boxes....They are allowed by law 120 days to finish your claim. So yesterday was the 120th and the settlement offer is..........[EDIT]..........$253.00! And that doesn't even cover the over charge, which they said has to be done directly with SH! Are you kidding me!!!

    I want to do a class action lawsuit…

    I want to do a class action lawsuit against this company. After reading the reviews its been three weeks. I still haven't gotten my furniture. They charged me an extra $1,400 dollars when they came to pick up my furniture. I had no choice because I already signed a contract and gave over a $587.00 deposit though zelle. They have all my new furniture over $10,000 dollars worth. Plus all my deceased mother and father family things that was special to me. They lied and said they moved the furniture themselves come to find out they contract it out. You can't get them on the phone after they get you to sign up with them. They fu...ked with the wrong one. Just got a lawyer involved. Will be contacting the media as well. Anyone want to sue please do so they need to be stopped. Please don't use sh movers. Scam and rip off. Its cruel what they are doing to people

  14. Don’t book your move with this company

    At time of booking I was extremely excited and looking forward with this company. Blake, the person I spoke to was very helpful. Then it all went downhill. I called after reading reviews with my concerns. One being the time of delivery. I was assured my move was less than 800 miles and I would have no problems getting my stuff. I was supposed to get a call two days later to confirm pick up. No one called me to confirm pick up. Movers showed on day of pickup, same time as someone finally had the decency to call back (two days later). At pick up I was asked when someone was available at destination for delivery and I told them immediately, but agreed to have things delivered 5 days later. The 5 days have come and gone and no sign of my stuff. Received a call saying that it could take anywhere from 5 days to 30. I’m set to start my new job in a couple of days and I won’t be able because I’m missing my stuff. At time of pick up my estimate was adjusted by a thousand dollars because I had more stuff than they originally had quoted me for.

    In short, I’m writing this review so that others know what to expect and plan accordingly

  15. Beware!!!!

    They only delivered half of my stuff and won’t call back or give me updates!! They quoted me $1700 and then charged me over $7k. They outsourced other companies and then disappeared. They Ripped my mattress and damaged other items. Do NOT use them.
