  1. I would recommend them.

    I just moved with Summit van lines from Georgia to North Carolina. The reason I chose them was that Yousel the sales person was great. He answered all my questions every time I called (and I called a lot). The price was reasonable and the reviews were good. They moved all my items. I had a lot of breakables. They bubble wrapped and crated everything proficiently. All my items arrived the way they left. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. They did everything they said they will and the price stayed the same. I would recommend them to all.

  2. I will defiantly use them again.

    I had a wonderful experience I recently moved with Summit van lines They packed my home on one day, loaded everything and left for the new location the time frame was great I didn't have to wait long for my items I was happy my belongings didn't get switched from truck to truck and Nothing broken This move was great I will defiantly use them again.

  3. Price and time.

    I was told prior to moving that my price was $436 and would take approximately 5 hours to move..It took them 12 hours total and didn't get all my belongings on the truck. they didn't know I was moving my clothes..are you kidding me ??  I was charged for more than I was supposed to because they estimated drastically wrong..The two guys moving spoke very little English so it was a complete communication mess..I feel this company owes me an hour or two of overcharged money because they messed up not me..If they don't ..I will never use them again and will let everyone know to stay clear of using these people..

  4. Worse moving company I have ever used.

    Sales people were great they sold the company well and followed up to make the sale but not much of what they offered was true. The movers showed up early and declared the move would take twice as long as the estimate at 80$/hr and that we had more that they had anticipated. all of our belongings did not fit so we had to also rent a uhaul trailer that my husband stayed back to pack and hitch. I went on to meet the movers at the new house. It then took 5.5 hours to make a 3 ( they estimated 4 hrs) hour drive to our new home where they informed me that we needed to pay the remainder of the bill before they could unload our furniture and they could not use the card they had on file for us that was used for the deposit, and my husband had to be there to use his card, they could not take it over the phone from him. The only way they would take payment is by western union wire!
    Orig price was 1000 we paid. 1368..
    Never Again!

  5. The best moving experience I've ever had.

    After reading ratings on moving companies, I expected the worse. I'm happy to write, that this was the best moving experience I've ever had (and probably ever will have). The movers arrived 30 minutes early and worked effciently and professionally. I thought, okay maybe it's because they work best on the pick up side. Well, these guys were just as effecient and professional when they unloaded our goods. And yes, the arrived 30 minutes before their estimated time. My husband and I are wowed by Summit Van Lines.

  6. DO NOT use them.

    I have never had a migraine as bad as when I was dealing with this company. We were moving from Atlanta to Houston and decided to use this company based on a recommendation. (Thanks a lot) we scheduled a pick up on a Saturday but decided to wait a couple days more. So we rescheduled it to Tuesday from 12-2PM. On Tuesday morning, we hear the door bell ring at 9AM. The bf wakes up and surprisingly, the movers are here. the movers had an accent. Im guessing they're Russian?? I don't know. Whatever, it didn't really bother us. Except the fact that we weren't finished packing all the small stuff. So the bf sent them away for an hour.
    An hour later, they came back and starting packing all the big stuff (TV, furniture, etc) the packing and loading took all day. We didn't have an address for the movers because we have not signed a lease yet in Houston. No problem because the manager said they can put it in storage. We paid a deposit and tipped the movers $100.
    A week after our move to Houston, we sign a lease and sent in the forms via E-mail to Summit. They said that it would take about 2 weeks for our furniture to come in and that they would call us a day before they arrive. 2 weeks go by and NO call. We called Summit and asked where our stuff was. The woman on the phone said she never received it. I informed her that I spoke with someone and they said they did receive it. The woman then says she will call me back after she figures it out in the morning. NO call! So I called her back the next day and she said she just opened the E-mail ((face palm)) Okay whatever just deliver the stuff.
    2 weeks later the movers called me the day before THANKSGIVING and asked if they could deliver our stuff on THANKSGIVING day. I don't know about them but this is a major holiday that most Americans celebrate! Also, our concierge at the condo would not allow heavy traffic on that day anyway. We told them they had to wait until the day after Thanksgiving. They didn't sound too happy but who cares.
    Our stuff finally arrived the day after Thanksgiving and I was relieved and happy because I could not stand to sleep on an air mattress anymore and I couldn't wait to hook up the TV. This time, there were different movers than the first.
    TV?? What TV?? We had two flat screen TV's that were not delivered. Broken mirrors and a broken china cabinet. Also, we counted and 2 boxes were not delivered. What the flying F! I was so pissed but after all the stress this company has put me through. I was over it! We did not tip the movers and sent them on their way. Good bye..forever! The only good thing is that the movers accidentally left his tool box at our place.

    I called the manager the next day and told her about the TV's. Apparently someone "broke into" the storage and stole some items. What a SHADY company! They thought they were going to deliver whatever and expect me to not notice our TVs are missing?? Well the manager sent over insurance forms to fill out and claim what was missing. We claimed 2 flat screen TVs, 2 broken mirrors, a broken china cabinet, and 2 missing boxes. The crappy insurance that Summit Van Lines has only cover .60/LB. We ended up getting $320. Enough to cover a 32" TV.

    DO NOT use them unless you want to go through a lot of stress..and lose a lot of money paying them and replacing your expensive items.

  7. Lost Items.

    Do not recommend Summit Van Lines at all.  They were one day late in picking my items up (truck problems) then I requested early delivery and they came late afternoon, scheduler spoke very little English.  They lost my computer but because I didn't stand and count boxes I got $0.00 not reliable and disreputable, do not recommend and will never use again.

  8. My move was a local move but everything went so great.

    My move was a local move but everything went so great I had to tell about it. I called summit and spoke to Charley who was very polite and nice. He set me up with an on site estimate for a binding cost. Then Sammy came to my house. He was so knowledgeable. He explained everything from A-Z. He was very informative so I chose them. Then the day of the move the crew arrived and everything went the way. Sammy explained I was very happy with my choice. They stood by everything they promised. Thank you, Summit.

  9. Most recent move.

    Movers promised delivery date which was not met.  Highly unprofessional movers, no care given to wrapping and delivering furniture for local part of move. Cabinet was damaged on delivery, brought in unwrapped and upside down, doors not secured.  Furniture delivered in NY at late hour, movers tired.   Did not reassemble DR table upon delivery and legs of console were damaged or broken off.

  10. I would like to recommend Summit.

    I would like to recommend Summit van lines because they really knew how to handle my move the took care of my furniture like they were there own they wrapped everything and moved it from 2nd floor to 4th floor with no damage the price was fair and the everybody was so nice and available thru the all move.

    I was badly looking for a very efficient moving company to move my home I moved from Fl to IL once I spoke to charlie I felt like I found the wright moving company then I had an on site estimate sammy came to my house explained everything and gave me a binding cost of service the move went smooth the movers got there on time and were very carful with my items the cost stayed the same I couldn't ask for more.

    This was our first time using Movers and they were just great. The salesmen Yosel was great They were very helpful, worked quickly, and were careful with our things that needed to be moved. We asked them to do a lot of things that were above and beyond just moving and they were able to take things out of storage and get them in the right place. Very hard working. You can feel confident in their ability to move your valuables safely.

    I just move from Texas to Georgia. At first I was so worried because it was summer and the kids were home but then I spoke to Yosel from summit van lines. He was so helpful and informative thru the all move. Summit came to my house. They did all the packing for me and I didn't have to do a thing. It was great. They were very careful with my items. Then came the delivery date. They brought the items with in the time frame they promised. I was so happy with the move that I had to tell about it. Summit van lines made my move a great experience. I would definitely use them again if I move.

  14. Dishonest.

    I was told that my move will cost 1500 regardless of weight if I don't add any additional items. But once they loaded everything he said that it will be by weight, wich came to 2100. They charged me for disabling my furniture and they used boxes for furniture which I was charged 400  for although I was told that they will assemble furniture free of charge. They got involved third party and whenever I tried to call them to solve my issues they would tell me to call the third party and solve it with them.  If you want peace of mind never do business with them. This is the most dishonest company I every had to deal with.  Upon delivery they will first collect the money in cash then they will allow you to inspect your belonging, if there is any damage then you have to call and call and call. With no result.

  15. Late, Drinking on job stolen goods.

    My items were delivered late and they stole some items. The drive was only 4 to 4.5 hours they showed up 6 hours late tried to collect more money and then tried to sell me some items they took form someone else move . The owner doesn't return calls. SCAM company dishonest workers stay away. They were fussing amongst each other outside my home. Drinking on the job. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. No one would return my calls they just said to file a claim.
