  1. Don't Ever Use this Company!!

I used a broker - and will write that nasty review next - and they subbed my move out to Unique. When they arrived at my home in Ohio they said I had more items than would fit in my 288 sq ft and the cost would increase by $300. When I checked with my broker on this they never got back to me. Then when I called to check the delivery date they said they didn't have to tell me..and they showed up one night at 9 pm asking for the money before they would unload. I called their customer service manager and she threatened to leave the stuff by the side of the road if I didn't pay up! Then one poor man who didn't speak English took two hours to move my items with one two wheeled dolly. He broke the legs on my sofa, splintered my TV stand and dropped the box full on dishes off the truck. If I had only read your post before I would have asked for another mover. Be warned, these are NOT NICE people and they don't deserve your business.

  2. Moving Company Suck!

Unique Vanliner MOVING Company is a 100% scam artists and the World need to know about it. They rip me off from head to my toes.I took my money and they quoted me $3500 to move my thing from Nashville to California, but they came to my house to move me then they charge me 3 times the price they quoted me.When they deliver to home in California they charge me $400 for every hours and charge me addictional $300 more for a set of extra stair which is bull scrape. The Manager Patrica and the owner Maria are rip off Queen they don't need to be open they need be in hail or in jail for ripping all their customers off. Tyler and Adams and Zack suppose to be helping the customers but instead they don't help there customers when they are getting rip off. Zack suppose to have listen to the phone call when they stated that would charge me $3500 to move my thing instead $9700 they know and I know they rip me off and they are doing everybody like that we all need to come together and get them shut down and put out of business before people loss their hard earned money to No good Scam artists they don't care about their customers they just want some FREE MONEY. And I would no way tell anyone to used THERE trucking service to move their stuff out of town. They even try to blackmale me by threatening to Aution off my valuable items if I don't pay them all the $9700 ASAP. THAT IS [EDIT] AND SOMEONE NEEED TO MAKE SURE THAT SOMEONE Who HIGHER UP IN THEIR BUSINESS THAT SHOULD CLOSE Them DOWN ASAP! PEOPLE LIKE Patricia and Maria shouldn't be running know Company they Are Low Down Scam Artists out Miami Florida.20855 NE 16th Ave, Miami, FL 33179. 3. Moving.

I had gone through a broker Long Distance Movers who seemed competent. But I would never use them again because the moving company they contracted with was Unique Van Lines. That's when the issues started. They tried to charge me extra saying it was more than 75' from door to where they parked (which it wasn't) when they came to load. And, they did not get to my house until 8 PM. I called Long Distance & they got part of the charge waived. Poor communication finding out when belongings were going to be delivered. When they got here my new desk was broken into several pieces (I did get paid a partial amount for the damage) and many boxes were damaged (they were scattered all over the truck). My belongings were going into storage & because I was in pain waiting for surgery I could not unpack and repack the boxes so took longer than 30 days which prevented my being able to file a claim without knowing what damage there was. There were many dishes, antique glassware & special bowls broken, as was my near new computer. Many of the antique glassware pieces had been in my family for many years. I was able to determine that they load a truck & take it, I believe, to FL and reload to take things to their destination. What started out ok was a disaster and I feel if Long Distance Movers should have known the kind of movers who actually moved thee belongings.

  4. Well only one item severely damaged and one item lost. :-P.

They were assigned to move me from NC to PA by White Glove Van Lines. Apparently it is a thing that one moving company sets you up with another one. Without me realizing it, one driver+helper was loading me up, then my stuff was being passed on to another driver+helper. But there was no delivery date - I just had to wait an pray they didn't run off with my possessions. When my stuff still didn't come days later, they told me the driver had been busted in Virginia. When my stuff finally came it turned out it had been moved to Florida and then up to Pennsylvania. Finally, they wouldn't move me in until I paid the balance of the agreed upon amount. Had to pay cash. In the end, a cherished end table was broken in half, and one box of stuff was gone. I also got a box that didn't belong to me. Awful experience, but they did move a lot of stuff, and only broke one thing and lost another. :-P.

  5. Worst moving company ever.

I paid $9000 for white glove and got anything but. Loose knives dumped in a box; every piece of furniture scratched, dented or broken; delivery over a week after promised date. I have done 4 moves long haul and this is the absolute worst I have had. No attention detail or care for my items. A treasured memorial item dedicated to my mom who passed away crushed into pieces and left on the lawn with no regard. This company is about the money only and will treat your stuff with no respect, do not use them!!

  6. Bad Move.

First Unique was scheduled to show up at my house to begin the moving process between 9 and 11 am on Feb. 22, they finally showed up at 3. That was the start of the nightmare. It took them until March 19 to get my furniture to Nevada and charged me over an additional $1,186.00 to unload, in effect holding my belongings hostage. Several boxes were severally damaged, and as a result, all the contents were broken, shattered really. My couch was dirty and had a tear in the back, computer broken, dining room table missing (the legs and chairs made it) a toolbox full of new tools such as a drill, and 2 boxes are nowhere to be found. Forget getting any customer service. If I had known that Roadway out of Jacksonville was going to farm out my belongings to a company like Unique, I would NEVER have used them. By the way, that Roadway is not the real Roadway but a shotty company using the same name.

  7. If the other poor reviews didn't convince you to run..Read further.

I live in FLA. Moving my family things from Ohio after death of mother. This company, Unique Van Lines, may be provided as a 3RD PARTY in a move (you won't know until several days before). Awful from beginning to end. And, it's not over yet from my position. THESE FOLKS HAVE ALL KINDS OF COMPLAINTS THROUGH THE BBB. LEAVE YOUR DEPOSIT AND RUN AS FAST AS POSSIBLE TO A DIFFERENT PROVIDER.

When they didn't arrive during the first or 2nd window of time (total: 9 hours without showing or calling) day one of scheduled move, I could have found another company to move me that day, and wish I had. 1. Be sure you have a BINDING estimate with the original organizer of the move or the charges may go up several times for all kinds of reasons, which I thought ludicrous. I had everything ready to go and packed BUT furniture and things I could not box. They arrived and immediately wanted to charge more for everything from packing supplies to cubic feet to weight.

2.Know that you can't be assured of the Pick up date. They ignored the 2 dates originally scheduled~condo lease ending~ I waited 7 hours day one in a vacant home for their arrival. NO call (I called them when they didn't show), and they didn't show until 3pm the next day. Weren't reachable by phone during the 2nd 7am-10am window of pick-up. They were more than 1 full date later arriving to move. LIED AND SAID TRUCK BROKE. Seriously? That's as good as dog eating homework..

    3. They are non-responsive via phone and so is their 3rd party arranger (before and after 9-5) who I contracted the move through originally.

4.Valuable antiques and family heirlooms are destroyed. Save yours and hire someone else.

    5. Regardless of their lies and untrue statements, the furniture and boxes ALL go to storage IMMEDIATELY (mine were to come straight south without storing but were clearly exiting a DIFFERENT TRUCK 1 week later). After seeing lampshades that broke (in boxes marked "fragile"everywhere), the LACK of care packing and moving was astonishing. They placed furniture in boxes WITH breakable items?! As one reviewer mentions~looks like they played soccer with blanketed furniture.

    6. They make you pay cash when they arrive with belongings, BEFORE seeing all the damage (IE: stuff isn't unloaded until they are paid). Thousands of dollars worth of damage here seen AFTER unloaded.

    7. One item missing. And besides negligence, there has been no follow up to find it.

If this review and others here didn't convince you~go look at BBB's reports. This company also changed locations a year ago (different miami address) and claim to be a different company. They are the same.

  8. Warning Don't Use This Companyf.

Just terrible. Whatever someone told you it would cost will change when they get to you. They are not on time after they get your deposit. They break things and just try to get satisfaction. You won't. Most of these types of movers are bad.pick someone else.

  9. Pickup.

They were scheduled to call between 4-8pm and by 8pm they hadn’t showed. Called American Movers and there had some miscommunication with the driver and turning up tomorrow. No on even bothered to call to let me know and no idea what the rescheduled time will be, so wasted 4 hours today and got to do it again tomorrow with no apology.

  10. Terrible experience.

I hired North star Van Lines and they sub contracted me out to the worst moving company out there. Not only did they take forever in delivering my belongings, 4 weeks, nearly everything had some sort of damage. My antique vanity mirror was smashed and much of my furniture was scratched and broken. I submitted a claim and they waited 40 days to turn it over to their insurance company. Don't use these people!

  11. Florida to California.

This company was 3 weeks late my stuff is busted brand new flat screens all scratched. This company SUCKS
Do not use them. They are a joke and a waste of money.

  12. Moving.

They took my stuff now I have not heard from them after reading these reviews I am a bit worried .I moved a million times being prior military and moving back to ohio open my own but this one is worrying me a bit . I understand they are brokers but not hearing from them the number I called on the sheet no good! Then I googled this ? Lord help me !!

  13. Poor Customer Service.

The movers people themselves were nice. But the company will not work with you. I weighed all my items and when the truck weighed it was 4000lbs more!! Which cost me additional $3000. I was present at the 2nd weighing when my stuff was loaded, but was not present when the weighing was done prior to them showing up. So was the whole truck on the scales?? I ask for a simply reweigh when my stuff showed up. I wanted to be present at the scales for both weighs. But they said they could not do that. Then my stuff came on a totally different company. DO NOT USE THEM!!

  14. Beware of this company.

Upon initial hire, things ran smoothly. As soon as a contract was signed, the trouble began. An original estimate of 1398.00 went up to 1798.00 and items were even removed from original inventory.

When it was time for pick up, the drivers were 4 hours late. I was also told I would pay at delivery of goods and they would accept a credit card. Well, that changed as well. They only wanted cash or money order and could not give me a delivery date.

Each time I spoke with this company, information changed. Nothing was consistent. Do NOT use this company. They will take your money and try to run.

  15. Never Use Again!

This is the moving company I got when signing up with National Moving Group, Inc. for my move from Ohio to Arizona. I was told by National Moving Group, Inc. delivery would be 4-10 days from 6/19/14. However, when my belongings were picked up the driver stated a federal law has to have a 15 business days out date to be added to contract but would not change original agreed terms of delivery. I needed a fast, smooth delivery because of a handicapped family member moving with me who needed their bed. Once everything was picked up, the excuses started including long distance from Ohio to Arizona, truck broke down, no driver available, you are our top priority, we are loading you today but not done for many days and anything else that I could be put off with. Frank and Ashley from National attempted to contact Karin at Unique Van Lines to resolve but both parties did not put the customer first and resolve this matter promptly and professionally.  Several of our items are missing and damaged, crates were broken and repacked, brand new riding lawn mower was broken not to mention 31 days to deliver. The delivery driver cursed in front of my family and did not assemble our items that were unassembled. I remained in contact by email, phone, and text with both companies in a calm and professional manner throughout this delivery process. Neither company resolved this issue and did not care. .
