  1. Move.

We had a wonderful experience with our move. Eddie and George worked very hard to get us moved from Punta Gorda to Ocala.

  2. Great work.

These guys are awesome they showed up on time they were very professional and took care of all my belongings with special care. They packed my stuff into boxes and moved me out the next day both days were very efficient and I recommend this company to everybody.

  3. Worst Movers EVER.

All American Moving and Storage is the single worst company that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in my life. Their salespeople will tell you anything necessary to get the job, their movers are untrained, their customer service is non-existent, and their guaranteed prices only last until move in day – when they refuse to unload the truck without additional costs added on.

They day of my move, the crew arrived 2 hours late, in a rented Budget truck, which was clearly not big enough for my inventory. The crew immediately started packing and loading – without taking an inventory of what was going onto the truck. Further, I have an expensive baby grand piano. The salesperson Jordan guaranteed in writing that the piano would be moved on a piano board, and would be kept in climate control for the 8 days until my move in. This was required for me to take out insurance on the piano. He actually told me that he was a “good Christian” and would never lie. With a number of belongings, including the piano still remaining, they ran completely out of space (after 7 hours of moving). We then waited 2 hours for another crew to show up – they loaded the piano and some remaining items. I tipped all 8 workers, from both crews. I called the company, and they promised that my belongings would be consolidated in their air-conditioned warehouse to one truck – the truck that was originally slated for my move.

8 days later was move in. Even though I had a contract, which stated a guaranteed price for moving and storage, when the truck arrived, they attempted to charge me an additional $300 for storage. They refused to move anything off of the truck unless I paid in full, which I did ($150 extra after “negotiating”). They sent 1 mover (they guaranteed 4) to do the entire job – a 5 bedroom house. I ended up on the truck with him for 9 hours unloading our belongings. This was supposed to take 4-6 hours. My wife unpacked the furniture from the blankets, most of which was packed loosely and ended up damaged. A second mover showed up 3 hours into the move, in street clothes, and told me that he had just been hired on Craigslist. Jordan, the salesperson had also guaranteed that all of their movers were professionally trained, which was clearly another lie.

All of my belongings did not arrive. They never consolidated my items onto a single truck. My belongings (including my piano) remained on the second truck, driving around the southeastern US, without AC. This truck did not arrive until 2 days later. On this truck were – my mattress, half of my baby’s crib, my piano, and a number of other essential items. The piano was no longer on the piano board, which was required for my insurance. When they set it up, it had a loud rattle in the keys – it was completely broken. Then I asked where my mattress was – it was not on the truck, and still has not arrived to this day.

Here is a list of items that were damaged or lost in the move:

    1) All three of my surfboard were dented and chipped. Value - $1800

    2) All of our lampshades were broken

    3) 3 pieces of art that they packed had either cracked glass or frames

    4) Family heirloom vase – never arrived

    5) All of the plastic crates we packed belongings in were crushed and broken, along with some of the items inside

    6) They broke the edge off of my daughter’s dresser

    7) They broke an extremely valuable antique Yamaha Baby Grand Piano. This will cost me far more to fix than the price of the entire move.

    8) The screws were missing from my daughter’s crib – my wife had to go to Home Depot during the second move to find matching pieces for the movers

    9) My custom record shelves had the paint completely chipped off of a 3 square inch area. The delivery man said it was because it wasn’t wrapped tight enough.

    10) Numerous items came either stained or filthy from dirty blankets or poor packing.

    11) Pieces were missing from a desk

    12) Brand new wood floors damaged when they tipped over the piano to put it in place, causing a noticeable dent

    13) Ripped my daughter’s crib mattress

    14) Broken pieces on our crystal chandelier – not replaceable

15)Dropped daughter’s high chair off of truck at move in and broke the tray

It has been 11 days since I moved out, and I still do not have my mattress – they are non-committal as to when it will arrive. In addition, they thought that I was on hold when I called to speak with them about it, but I heard 3 or 4 people joking and laughing about the situation – then Jordan, the salesman, said – just keep him on hold. He was telling the other employees that I was angry “just because of a mattress.”

I cannot express enough the level of dishonesty and borderline criminal activity being perpetrated by All American Moving and Storage. Their prices are low for a reason – because they are unprofessional, untrained, dishonest and incompetent. Do not use this company under any circumstances.

  4. Horrible Experience.

Moving trucks shows up with my stuff but with no movers! My family & I had to unload the truck ourselves for over 12 hours. They refused to reduce the amount due even though my fammily and their 72 yr old driver did all of the work.
To make matters worse several items were broken or destroyed including my 55" curve TV having a crack right down the center of the TV, my wooden upright piano completely destroyed with water damage, my 1 week old coach ruined with water damage (it smells awful), Broken tiles and loads of scratches on my fire pit table. Not to mention a ton a little things that alone mean nothing but added up..
I've called over and over again and no one is addressing these issues. I just keep getting ignored. I shouldn't of paid the balance upon delivery but the driver insisted.
Now I have to take my time to go to small claims court cause people like this should not be able to get away with this and much more they shouldn't be allowed to be in business.
    My advice..Call someone else!

  5. Horrible Company, Dispatchers & Customer Service Liars.

Your price will go up once the truck is fully loaded. The drivers will make a fake call into the dispatcher and say the cubic feet is more than quoted. They will tell you that it is $2,000 to $3,500 over in cost. The driver will act as someone who understands and sympathizes with the additional cost and will tell you and dispatcher who is in on this, that they have another job and they can reduce the additional cost down to $800 to $1,500 instead of the larger amount, but cash will be needed to get this lower price. Stick with you quote and call police. Also the delivery date they provide you will be a minimum of an additional 7 to 10 more days before it actually will get to you. Lastly, they sell your move (broker it out to ANY TRUCKING COMPANY). It gets unloaded a minimum of 2 times before your items arrive in BAD & POOR CONDITION. Forget about no nicks, damage, tears, and rips. With All American selling your load and the items being loaded & unloaded several times, your items take a lot of abuse. Buy upgraded heavy duty boxes from Lowe's and Home Depot, they will still be bent, busted, and destroyed but at least your items may have a small chance of just being slightly damaged. The entire moving industry is built on low bids and selling your van load to the lowest bidder. One piece of big advice, Use the national name brand movers (United Van Lines, Mayflower, North American, etc..) they have better reputations and they are not quick to go out of business. Most major companies use them for their employee moves so they will service better. Last thing, All American and others like them are a low bid scam. When you are very specific in your inventory items of your household still prepare for the OVER CUBIC FEET CHARGE. Once they have your stuff all monies have to be paid before they reload or unload. Once your items are in van your items are now able to be held hostage for payment. Hold your ground and call police when they play the cubic feet game. The drivers all have criminal backgrounds (Moving Companies can't control other drivers who are bidding in the open market so backgrounds are lied about), the drivers do not want the police showing up due to most having warrants and expired drivers licenses. All America has a great & believable sales pitch. The problem is all they want is the deposit then you will never hear from them again. The drivers will tell you they use labor hall workers to help unload your items and these workers have not been vetted from the labor company nor the moving company. The workers are not professional movers nor do most have the desire to move dressers, sofas, refrigerators, or washers & dryers. They are there to get their addiction filled before being dropped off at the homeless shelter. Beware of this company, go with one of the big name moving companies and spend a few cents more per cubic feet. It's worth the aggravation, headaches, loss of valued furniture, and they will provide real insurance claims for damaged items.

  6. Worst customer experience ever.

Received several estimates from an online inquire and All American Moving and Storage was the cheapest. Alec, the sales person was very intentive until we gave our deposit. He viewed all of the furniture we were moving and said that the quote he sent over was binding and the price wouldn't go up. We were foolish to do so. We scheduled our move for a Thursday or Friday. Late Thursday they told us they couldn't be there until Saturday. This was a horrible inconvenience but we were able to arrange our schedule to accommodate theirs. When the driver arrived Saturday morning the first thing he said is who is paying and demanded an additional $500 for the packaging. There was no mention from the sales rep that there may be an additional cost for packaging. He personally viewed the furniture and saw there were 2 large mirrors. Charging $500 for packaging on a $2000 move is insane. The driver said that if I wasn't satisfied with the extra cost to call the office. It was Saturday and the office was closed when I called them. Since we were now on this company's schedule instead of our own which was agreed upon we were out of options. There was nothing we could do but pay him. We put our trust in a company that we should not have. I emailed the attentive sales person Alec on Monday and didn't hear back from him. Over 24 hours later I called and was told he was not available and he would call me back. He didn't call back so I called again on Wednesday and spoke to Pete. He said he was handling the situation but obviously was clueless as to what was going on. He stated we probably had more furniture then was in the contract, we didn't. He said the charge was excessive and we were "idiots" for signing it. He said we could have canceled. Again we had no choice. He kept calling me pal and was completely unprofessional. He told us there would be no refund at all. Upon realizing this we stressed the importance of our deliver be done on the following Tuesday (8 days later.) Pete said he would do his best to make sure it got there on that date. The date we were supposed to get the furniture we were told that it could be there between 6-8 that day but not guaranteed. We were told that the only way we could guarantee deliver on that day is with a $400 additional charge. Dispstch called us back and said they could waive the fee for us and were professional. The same dispatch person then called us back and said that Pete had applied the $400 fee and she couldn't change it because he is her boss. Our initial quote was $2,000 and ended up paying $2,900 for them almost doing what they were supposed to do. They used bait and switch tactics, are crooks and unprofessional. I forgot to mention they sub contract out their work. Do not use this company or support a company in any way that operates in such an unprofessional manner.

  7. Great experience.

I had such a great experience with this company. The guys were quick, not lazy, and didn't take any breaks. Moving day is always super stressful for me anytime I've moved, but with these guys it wasn't stressful at all. I will definitely recommend this company.

  8. Moving and storage.

We had the best experience you could hope for. The three men who moved us were very friendly, intelligent, and great workers. They rewrapped all of the stuff that we wrap that wouldn't make it. They were very helpful and curious to our needs. We will definitely use them again.

  9. Not Recommended.

We scheduled move from Roanoke VA to Sacramento CA the worst experience ever . Very Rude professionals. We have to follow up now and then about the stuff delivery. We got a stuff after one month. when we use to call there customer service they use to yell at us.Worst experience ever.

  10. Absolutely the Best!

My wife and I were absolutely frightened at the thought of a cross country move. And then we met Charlie from All American Moving and Storage. Charlie immediately put our concerns to rest, assured us everything would go smoothly, and promised no screw ups. He and the entire All American team delivered on all accounts. Moving an entire household of items from South Florida to Iowa is a major project. Add to that the fact that we had many fragile items that meant a great deal to us and you can understand our concerns. Let me just say that everyone from All American treated our possessions as if they were their own. Chad, Charlie, Bill, and Cary were in touch with us every step of the way. Charlie supervised the packing and loading in Florida, then met us in Iowa to make sure everything was unloaded and put away with the same care as we experienced in Florida. We were torn between using a national brand name mover or a locally owned mover. After meeting the All American team, there was no longer a choice. No national company will care for your valuables like the family owned and operated team at All American. Plus, being able to pick up the phone and speak to the company's owner is a great benefit. Here is the executive summary: Excellent Value, Excellent Service, Excellent Communication. Excellent Care. You can't ask for anything more on moving day. Chad - your team is the best!

  11. Move from N. Miami to Vero Beach.

What a great experience! It started with Charlie, who came to estimate the move.he was easy to talk to and along with walking & categorizing each rooms contents, he was filled with tips and tricks to facilitate the move. Prior to the move Cary (from the office) contacted me and scheduled a 10 am start. I wanted to start earlier due to the distance and the drive time. Without a thought they scheduled an 8am start, Perfect for me! The day of the move the crew arrived precisly at 8am. That impressed me! In South Florida the majority of contractors are always late or they don't show at all. They packed the truck like they had been doing it all their lives.. "A well oiled machine!" Once packed they then had a 2+ hour ride to the new house. Arrived at the new home and the unpacking began. Once again; "clockwork". Watching them, exhausted me.. ha ha. They were just as prime to do this job as when they arrived first thing in the morning. They didn't slow down at all! I heard many a horror story of moving companies ripping you off, charging extra because it took too long to load or unload, When all they did was cause it to take a long time. That was certainly not the case with All American Moving and Storage!! They worked their butts off and smiled while doing it. There was only one drawback to this job, there was a leak in the truck and a mattress got wet at the head and a sofa cushion was also wet. Both dried quickly with no damage at all. 2 wet spots approximately 8" x 8". The review form did not differentiate between dirty and wet. this was just 2 wet spots. Even with this I consider them to have done and EXCEPTIONAL JOB! I most assuredly would recommend them!

  12. Amazing Experience.

I just recently moved with this company I had a great experience they showed up on time which I have moved several times in the past and each time I moved the companies were late. The crew they sent me was amazing everybody made me feel comfortable while in my home. They packed all my belongings into boxes while doing so they were very gentle and took their time to make sure everybody was packed accordingly. The crew leader was amazing he made sure to be there for us every step of the way, they definitely made sure to go the extra mile. The second day the same crew showed up loaded everything I had in a timely manner. They then took my furniture to the their facility to hold it over night because of my closing which was unexpected. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

  13. Poor customer service and handling of furniture.

This company is in Davie Florida. We used them based on their high satisfaction rating and this cannot be further from the truth. They delayed delivery on the furniture and we had to make other sleeping arrangements. (not Reimbursed!) Several items of furniture were damaged and broken including a bedroom mirror which they promised to replace. We scheduled two appointments and both times were stood up. Chad, the manager kept making excuses after excuses. The mirror alone to replace costs over 500 dollars along with other damaged furniture. They only offered around 264 dollars which is nothing. They took advantage of an elderly couple and this company has no integrity and mistreats their customers. Consumers Beware.

  14. From Miami to sarasota.

All American made moving from a four bedroom house in Miami to Sarasota, FL so easy and worry free. Charlie and his team were so professional, friendly, fast and caring. Thank you for making my moving experience so pleasant. I would highly recomend this company to anyone that is in need of moving. Definitely best out there.

  15. Margo and Albert's Complicated Move.

The only thing that was broken were our hearts when we had to say goodbye! This is a great moving company. Our move this past June 2016 was very complicated with our things being distributed among five different places. The crew was excellent, dedicated and did everything they could to keep down our stress level. The move was completed on time with no surprises. They did what they said they would do and we couldn't have been more pleased. We feel as if we had a high quality move at a reasonable price. We give them the highest of recommendations.
