  1. Do not recommend.

First, there was an immense difference between the quote and the final price by over $2000.00. If you are going to use them, buy your own boxes, paper, tape etc.. if not you will end up paying well over $1000.00

My house is was a 2400 square foot house and I moved to another house less than 20 miles away; the final price was well over $4000.00 - On top of this, nothing is well labeled and as I unpack, several Items are showing up broken.

  2. Horrible.

The person who came to give an estimate was a sales person, like a used car sales person. It seemed as though this company would be awesome, and unfortunately I fell for it. He showed a video and stated they were the only licensed movers in our area. (That was lie number one). He assured that his company could get the job done, including moving a hot tub. He stated the company moved hot tubs all the time. We were required to get 3 estimates and this company gave the highest cost to move our 2500 square foot house to another the same size 280 miles away. We went with them because the "sales person" told some good lies. He said they would have 7 movers and 2-26 foot trucks at our house at 7 am. He said they would be finished in 5 hours. We packed everything prior to their arrival. The evening before the scheduled move, the operations director, called and confirmed the same thing, 7 guys, 2 trucks, 5 hours. He stated that they would start driving when they were done loading the trucks and drive as far as they could for a 12-14 hour day.
Moving day arrived, they were 2 hours late, with 2 movers and 1 truck. The two movers had no idea what they were doing, it was one of thems first day. They said they were just going to start figuring out how to load the truck. They stated there was no another driver for the other truck so they were going to have to load the first one and then drive it back to their office, and pick up the other one truck and bring it back. About an hour later 2 other guys showed up and started packing the truck. About 8 hours later, 3 more movers showed up. The packing of the truck took 11 hours, and there were never 7 movers there. They did not adjust the cost, so we paid for 7 movers. The movers refused to move the hot tub. The manager and sales person conveniently were not available. They also did not adjust the price for that. They were supposed to leave for the new house the next morning at 7 am-we received a call at 10 saying they were on their way.
As they were finishing unloading, one of them brought the final bill. They had added an additional $300 to the bill for supplies-which we had not used. The operation manager stated over the phone we had used the items, so I talked with the actual guys doing the moving, and the one in charge stated we used only tape and plastic wrap. He was able to talk to the operation manager and get that charge removed. When they retuned with the final bill, they had added another $1400. The operation manager stated that the contracted amount was just an estimate, and could go up based on how long it actually took. We argued our case and he did not care. They were rude and unprofessional after they received our business. Once they have your stuff in the truck, you really don't have much leverage, basically if you want your stuff unloaded, you have to pay what they say.
My husband was able to convince the owner of the company that our estimate was for 7 guys, 2 trucks, and included the moving of the hot tub, and that we should be credited for the company not completing the job they were contracted to do. Bottom line, there was no reduction of the contract price of over 5k. The owner did remove the extra $1400, however it was not easy to get him to do the right thing. This was the most painful experience. The sales person and the operation managers are liars and have no clue as to how the guys that are actually moving the stuff work or what they can and can't do. They were not there and still tried to raise our cost twice. They lied about start times, about the second truck being on the way, about how many movers were coming.
The guys that came to move the stuff were very professional and did a great job. One of them was a bit disrespectful, however the others were great. They packed 2-26 foot trucks and only broke 3 glass Pyrex bowls. I will never never again use this company or recommend them to anyone.

  3. All My Sons.. a horror story.

Just want to make sure this doesn't happen to you.

I moved a one bedroom apartment into another bedroom apartment. I had moved myself in to my first place with only help with large items from a friend (table/couch/mattress) so I figured with the help of three men it would take an hour tops to get everything loaded, and hour to get to my new residence, and an hour to get into my new place (this was about how long it took JUST ME.
5 hours later (yes, it took 3 grown men 5 hours to move what I had done in 2 hours tops), these three guys had damaged 3 pieces of furniture, broken 3 frames and numerous other items, scratched up the new hardwood floors in my new place, destroyed a corner of the wall, and broke two parts of the baseboards.
I told their supervisor over the phone what had happened. I told him about the damage, that one of the guys had disappeared during the move a few times, that they went and got lunch on my clock, that they had charged me for moving a piano THAT I DO NOT HAVE, that they were talking in front of me about some other customers they had screwed and framed a fellow coworker for.
After a few weeks of their company dodging my calls I finally get a claim number from their insurance. Their insurance has no message machine nor do they ever call. The only option I had at this point was to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
It's been 4 months and I am still in a dispute over this move. This was after the company had initially recognized their fault (I have this documented via email).
I recommend you NOT to use this company under any circumstances! They are lazy, unprofessional, and have no regaurd to the belongings of those they move.

  4. Do not use All My Sons.

Initially seemed so good but ended up being a nightmare. Wish we'd checked reviews first. Found out at last minute quote didn't include boxes. Driver arrived with no pen and had to find him one to sign initial papers. 2 of 4 guys were great and careful. Lead guy/driver was unorganized, slow and wasted time but spent whole time griping at his crew. While crew was unloading 1st load went back to old house and discovered several closets not packed and misc. items in several rooms not packed. We packed the rest up to try and save time. At new location discovered boxes not labeled because driver didn't have a marker. They bashed in a bull nose corner in our newly constructed home and wanted to 'take care of it by sending driver back the next day to fix it because "he is a drywaller". Final bill was much higher than 'worst estimate' quote. Tried to charge us for using all boxes they brought even though not all used because we provided most of our own. Driver repeatedly said he thought they were all used though I told him repeatedly I had seen them stacked at old house. Had to argue with 'owner' at main office and return to old home to get their unused boxes before amount was reduced.

  5. Great Customer Service.

My experience with All My Sons Moving was fantastic from beginning to the end. The moment I called the company to get a quote, the customer service she provided was so friendly. After I received the quote I called another company and did not receive the same friendly customer service, So I called called a couple more moving companies and decided to go with All M Sons Moving because of the customer service and price. The day of my move there were two men who did a great job and was very respectful.

  6. Damage/lost household goods.

Several issues with this move 1. I was given a verbal estimate only and overcharged significantly at time of delivery. 2. Missing household items 3. Damage to several pieces of furniture. Most of it ended up going to the dump due to amount of damage. 4. Mattresses not covered therefore covered in dirt in grease. Had to be thrown out. 5. Boxed including wardrobe boxes and rubbermaid totes crushed with items damaged inside.  6. Delivery of other people's household items. 7. Lastly, driver showed up without paperwork. I was not provided a copy of bill of ladding and several of my items were not tagged. Worst moving experience ever. I will certaintly never use this company again. Very unprofessional service from start to finish.

  7. Crooks - took my money and seized my property.

All my Sons tried to overcharge me by billing me for 6 hours instead of 3.  When I tried to argue about the bill amount, they left with my household goods and the $550 I had given them (not including a $100 nonfundable deposit) and stated I would be charged a storage fee for every day the held my property.  They have my money and my property and so far, I have not been able to get help from any government agency to get my property and a partial refund.  Do not use these guys!  RUN!  All MY Sons are thugs that seem to be extorting people with no impunity!

  8. Dont do it.

All My Sons has made this moving and storage experience a nightmare. When I first made the reservation, I was told $209/hour for 4 movers and the truck.  No mention of any other fees.  When they got there on moving day, before any moving could happen, I had to sign an open ended contract that said I agreed to pay that hourly rate but there were tons of additional fees.  I felt like I was forced to agree to to the additional unforeseen fees since I needed to move that day.  Additionally, the movers they sent were slow and not efficient whatsoever. They took multiple smoke breaks, were sitting around, one was apparently training another, and my own son and husband were moving way faster than they were. Ultimately I was given a bill for $1500 for 5 hours of moving a 4 bedroom house.  SLOOOOOOOW.  I was told by one of the movers that they would make a "payment arrangement" with me once my things were returned.  I called to complain about the slow movers and they said they would make it right for us in the end.  Thats just the beginning.  We stored our belongings for 3 weeks.  When we called to have them bring our stuff back to our new place (10 miles away from our old place) we were told a specific date that was a Sunday. That day came and went, they never showed and nobody would answer any phone that we called.  We had no idea what was happening. The next morning I got ahold of someone and they said it was a scheduling error.  We were not even on the schedule and they don't answer phones on Sundays (even though they do moving jobs on Sundays).  He told me they would load the truck that night and delivery the following morning as we were the "first move of the day".  No offer to make it right or give any sort of discount for our major inconvenience.  The next day, morning came and went.  They didn't show up until 2pm after I took the entire day off work to wait for them.  There was no call to inform me of their progress. When they finally got there this time the men they sent were much faster.  They unloaded about a quarter of our belongings before one of them brought me the final bill.  Almost $6000!!  For a move 10 miles from our previous home and 3 weeks of storage.  I know there are costs to load and unload the truck but NONE of it was discussed with me.  I had NO IDEA it would be even close to that much.  No idea.  I never would have agreed to that kind of service for that ridiculous amount of money.  Needless to say, I didn't have $6000 so they closed up the truck and left with the rest of my stuff.  They would not allow me to make payments.  They were not willing to work with me.  He offered to bring the bill down to about $5000 but I still could not fathom that it took them that many hours to unload and reload that truck and this was all over the phone with the movers standing there. They took all the paperwork with them and left me no copies. How can they fairly bill that much without an estimate and agreement BEFORE it happens and then hold my property hostage?? Now I have to figure out how to make this right and get my entire home full of stuff back.  Do not use this company.  They are not honest and inflate the final charges.  Also, some of the items that I did get back are damaged.

  9. Check your furniture - may not be assembled correctly.

All My Sons was great at first, they were there on time to pick up, the guys were friendly and moved quickly.  They even allowed me to delay delivery a couple times due to the closing of my house being delayed. They showed up 2 hours late to deliver but I didn't complain because they had been so helpful up to that point.  It took the guys longer to unload my stuff than it did to load it because they screwed around a bit, but again, it was the easiest part of buying a house (at that point) so I didn't complain.  My move was on 4/17 and I only have my kids part time so I had them for a week before I noticed my sons' bunk bed was falling apart.  His bunk bed is a lower bed and only comes up to my chest so I didn't realize the slats were falling until I was on his floor helping him clean up. There are 13 slats and 26 holes for screws but only 4 screws were used and they weren't even screwed in all the way.  I called and spoke with William today and he blamed me for the bed falling apart and told me that if it was an issue I would have told him when I called to complain about the gross overcharging for fuel (18% of the bill for your time, plus paying for time to and from the locations(s), plus a transportation charge).  I tried explaining that I just noticed and he didn't care and hung up on me when I yelled at him.  I am astounded that a mover can justify his men not putting together a child's bed correctly.  Thankfully my son was not injured but he could have been and then what would they have done?  I am very disappointed in their professionalism and the fact that they feel justified to blame me for their lack of concern and ability to assemble furniture correctly.

  10. Run for your life!

My move from Bellevue KY to Cincinnati Ohio was a nightmare.  I was sent 3 people but one was sick so only two worked.  They charged me for the 3 people for a majority of the move and when I called to complain all I was told was they had no idea one guy was sick and they had paid him for the day.  In addition, items are missing.  I mean closets full of items and several pieces of furniture were broken.  The worst part, however, was the fact that they left all of my patio furniture and storage closet full in the old apartment.  They wanted to get out of there so fast they didn't even look around to see what was left, and, I was in the new apartment telling them where to put things.  I had no idea until I went to clean the next day.  They then sent some guys out to finish the job and things were still left behind.  This only scratches the surface of this most horrible experience with All My Son's Moving and Storage!  .

  11. Horrible!

I read a lot of reviews of moving companies and settled on all my son's even though they had a C rating on Angie 's List. I talked to the supervisor in Columbus Ohio and expressed my concerns about the C rating. He assured me that he would send his top 3 movers and everything would be perfect. First they were an hour and a half late. Then looked at the house and quoted me 500 dollars higher than originally quoted. Took 4 peices of my furniture to the truck then brought it back in and informed me that this particular crew was not 'suited' for this job. I called the office talked to the supervisor and he said he would call the crew leader and work it out no problem. That was 4 days ago and I'm still waiting for that call. I would never recommend these movers to ANYONE!

  12. Broken items, liars.

I was moving to a remote area of Oregon and told the salesman there was no cell phone coverage of any kind at my destination and asked how they would manage to contact their office for calculating the moving cost, which they insisted could only be paid by cash, credit card, or debit card at the point of delivery. The salesman assured me they had "special radios" that would work anywhere (I assumed he was referring to a satellite phone). He lied. When we arrived at the delivery point, the only "radio" the foreman had was a Verizon cell phone which of course did not work, so we had to drive into the nearest town miles away so he could use his cellphone. When we returned I discovered that the movers had put my belongings wherever was convenient for them -- which meant I then had to later move everything where I actually wanted it. All this trouble because the salesman lied to me about having a "special" radio that would work anywhere. After the movers left and I began to inspect my belongings I discovered they had broken in half an antique chair given to me by my mother, and some  of my things (a toaster oven was one of them) was missing. When I ran my washing machine for the first time it began leaking water all over the place because they had banged it around so hard (it did NOT leak prior to the move). In my opinion these people are crooks and should not be trusted. Use them at your own peril.    .

  13. Lost everything I own.

I hired All My Sons for a move in August 2014. A company employee stole the truck loaded with all my belongings and looted it with his accomplices. I lost all my furniture, electronics, washer/dryer, and most of my artwork, kitchen items, etc. What little was recovered suffered extensive damage. After initially saying they would do whatever they could to help me recover from this devastating loss, All My Sons did not keep any of their promises, and their insurer, Vanliner, has used every stalling tactic imaginable to delay paying my claim. My insurance won't pay until Vanliner pays first because All My Sons is responsible for the theft. I've had to pay out of pocket to replace everything so far. If I didn't have good credit I'd still be in an empty home with only an air mattress and no furniture. The worst part is that All My Sons is now trying to make me pay their $3000 bill! They say that filing an insurance claim relieves them of any further responsibility, and they want to be paid for the "services" they provided. They want me to pay them for being so negligent and incompetent that an employee was able to take the keys, steal a truck containing everything I owned, and rip my life apart! I've hired a lawyer, and have been told it may take 2-3 years to get this nightmare resolved. Do NOT hire All My Sons! They have absolutely no integrity.

  14. Misleading on so many levels.

Misleading about charges. Disorganized? We called to inquire about having a piano moved. One mile, they said it would be an hour. They failed to mention the 2 hour minimum charge and one hour for travel. What was expected to be less than $200 ended up being more than $400. They also gave us a working window time from noon-3pm, then called us at 10am because they wanted to finish their work day early. We were not available, so we had to wait a day only to be poked. Ridiculous. .

  15. Not a good moving company!

Horrible company with horrible customer service. I called to get a quote and schedule a move and the representative was quite courteous and seems knowledgeable about the services being offered. I scheduled the service for the next day and provided payment information for deposit. The estimated amount was $450 for the move. However, I was contacted a couple of hours later and a manager stated that the representative provided inaccurate information and the correct price would be between $1500 -$3000 which is absurd. They also took it upon themselves to cancel the appointment stating that they didn't think I would be ready by the next day. If you're packing and moving me, what do I need to be ready for? The lack of professionalism was unreal. However, after reading the reviews from others, it was a blessing that I didn't go with this company. They are not business professionals, they are a group of brothers who are trying to make pocket change, not real money. Real customer service result in real profit and allows you to expand your business. The customer service shows that this is the kind of business that will continue to receive only enough to keep them up and running.
