  1. Bayflower Moving Group.

Move from Maryland to California. Supervisor of the unpack was very unprofessional. Much to familiar with me, and denigrated the other movers on the job who were doing all the work he did very, very little. Broke a shelf to a cabinet in front of me because he handled it carelessly, and then showed no remorse. Just told me to put a claim in. They damaged several items in the move. Fortunately, none were irreplaceable. I expected there might be some damage on a cross-country move, but it was more that I was disturbed by the laissez-faire attitude about it. Instead of an apology, it was, "Oh, that's broken. Hm. Well, you can make a claim.".

  2. Do not go near them.

They moved me from Maryland to Texas last year, broke a TV set and took a claim. After months of calls no one ever called me back. Just saying, they are shady and very unprofessional.

  3. Bayflower Movers.

Do not do business with this company, that is unless you want your property destroyed, holes punched in your walls and door frames split. This company is the worst. They moved my furniture from Richmond, VA to Baltimore, MD and left it sitting in a hot warehouse where items melted together during the month of August. After 10 working days, my furniture finally arrived in Florida. Their contract totally insulates them against any claims. Don't take my word for it read their contract. Almost everything I own was either destroyed, broken or scratched. The people that packed the truck and unpacked the truck were totally unprofessional. One of the people that unpacked the truck was covered in tattoos and piercings. As soon as he walked in the door he went to the bathroom and threw up, I don't know if it was drugs or alcohol. They are incredibly dishonest!

  4. Damages And no Follow-up.

Don't believe any of the good reviews.  The sales person will hound you and hound you.  They will promise to be below the cost of the top companies, and the initial estimate will be lower.  THEN they show up to pack and load your items, and suddenly your estimate was too low.  THEN you are told because the initial estimate was too low, the cost of packing and loading is TWICE the rate as when you were quoted over the phone.  At this point, all your items are already on the truck.  So, you are left with the option of paying, or having them unload the truck and you STILL have to pay, and you'll lose your deposit.   Once your items are on the truck and out of your sight, the contact by the company stops.  You'll have to call multiple times, and most of the time, IF they answer, they won't have any information as to when you stuff will arrive.   When the movers finally came to my house, as they were unloading, I'm informed that because the apartment isn't sitting right on the curb, that I will have to pay a extended moving distance fee, which, of course, can only be paid in cash.   While I was watching them move items in and unpacking, one of the movers cut a HOLE into the upholstery on my couch. One of the boxes has been badly damaged (like it had falled off the truck and rolled and maybe even been run over) and when I opened the box, most items were damaged, and many items were missing. I submitted a claim in November, and since then have not heard a single thing from the company, and they are now no longer answering their phones, or responding to voice messages.  .

  5. Crooks!

Almost $2000.00 in damages. you think you are signing the contract when you pay them the first deposit, but they make you sign another after they have all your stuff on the truck. After they have your money no one will talk to you. All I had was aggravation. They put you on hold when you call about the claim and never come back. If you value your belongings DO NOT HIRE BAYFLOWER MOVING GROUP!! The good reviews must be written by the employees while they kept me on hold.

  6. DO NOT believe the good reviews!!

Everything I have read on the bad reviews is SPOT ON.  We were fooled by the good reviews and decided to overlook the bad ones.  We were SO Wrong!! It was a terrible experience right from the get go.  They promise you the world and keep talking about being a "five star" company until you sign the contract..and then that all goes out the window.  HORRIBLE customer service.  SOOOO unprofessional.  Movers showed up wearing basketball shorts and sneakers..I could have packed better than them.  Overused bubble wrap and tape and then wanted me to pay for it!! Were throwing my items around and had no respect for our things.  Completed low balled us and then I had no choice but to pay almost double what was in the contract because they don't don't know how to pack a truck.  They threw everything in truck haphazardly and then told me I had more stuff and was going to be charged 3 thousand dollars more!!
That was only the beginning, they lied on so many levels about EVERYTING.  Showed up with a truck with NO signs or anything on it.  So unprofessional.  They just hire workers for jobs who have no idea what they are doing, so you really have no idea if and when your stuff will show up.
I lost so many boxes and I was pretty much forced to sign the contract to say I received all my boxes and was told well if you find stuff missing there is really nothing they will do for you you!!

I watched them put other peoples items on my front lawn to get to my stuff.  They literally threw all the peoples stuff out on my lawn to get to our stuff.  It was disgraceful.  And they demanded we pay uprfront in cash or they would not take any stuff off the truck.  They were nasty and so unfriendly.

Do not believe a word they tell you!! Unless you can confirm from someone else in person that you know that they have been treated well by this company PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!
The positive reviews on here CANNOT BE REAL.  Total scam like so many others in Florida.  Very sad.

  7. Scam!!

The five star ratings on here must be from the company and not the customers. They will low-ball your estimate and then when everything is packed (with unnecessary added padding and blankets bc they go by cubic feet not weight) they will charge you more money for the extra cubic ft that they didn't estimate and come on purpose with a smaller truck(with a card board sign on it) so it all won't fit in and they can tell you that according to their estimate it should've all fit. Common sense should tell you that a 1600 sq ft home of a family of four can NOT all fit in a 25 ft truck. Then tell you they can't get the rest until two days later. Meanwhile you'll get charged thousands more bc of their failure to estimate correctly. Also Phil (if that's his real name) asked for a beer after they packed up all our stuff into their truck before they drove away with it. It's still illegal to drink and drive, right? He wad the only one that could speak English too. The other traffic violation is that they don't have enough room in the truck cab for all the movers so one or two has to sit in the tailer with all your stuff, in which they had to sit back there for three hours both ways from where their warehouse and our house was. Pretty sure that is illegal. I've also heard they don't update their registrations but I didn't hear about that until after, otherwise I would've checked. They also took our stuff to a warehouse and unloaded it so they could bring the same truck back to our house to get the rest of our stuff. They loaded both truck loads onto a tractor trailer. All that logistically makes no sense and causes more opportunity for damage. Nina was the sales person that was not helpful or professional with our concerns. There was some damage to our things but we understand that would be hard to prove but they did damage the floor in our house removing the washer. We took pictures of how they did things and the damage. Joe was the one that gave us the estimate. When they did arrive with our things they were 2 1/2 hours late. They keep changing their name for the bad reviews so by the time we were done with their business they changed the name to Smart Movers (which I think is hilarious). No they're not smart.

  8. Do Not Ever Use This Company!! The Good Reviews Are Ficititious!!

These are the most unprofessional, unresponsive, ghetto people I have ever mistakenly done business with in MY LIFE!! They are greedy and stingy and they will rip you off with any angle they can illegally find. I have been battling this company since MARCH 2014 and they continue to dodge talking to me, avoid bringing resolve to claim less than $200 and just plan not people/customer concerned. I have missing items too! THEY COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT ME OR MY DAMAGED PROPERTY! THEY HAVE MY MONEY!! If the tables were turned and someone had damaged several pieces of their individual property and was withholding payment, they would be outraged if they were treated the way the have been treating me and many others apparently. I have tried resolve through the BBB and they just gave up because these people are so unreasonable we couldn't get them to just be fair and pay. On top of all of my scarcely insured items they damaged in transport - one of their drivers was about to leave my home and knocked over my personal laptop that I was working on, onto a tile floor and damaged it. Bayflower apologized when I reported it and told me to get an estimate and they would repair/replace it. I paid to get the estimate and filed the claim with pics as they requested! I called SEVERAL times for 7 months trying to get resolve. They offered me $30 for my damaged PC in a letter after the repair people said it needed to be REPLACED!! The estimate alone costed $30!!  let alone the $30 I paid to fax over all of the paperwork for both the moving claim and this one.  They are probably hoping I will just go away but I will get JUSTICE!!

  9. Horrible Service.

Horrible service! Be aware as they run a scam.   They will low-ball your estimate and present you with a new contract after everything is packed and demand you pay cash (in our case it was doubled the original quote)!! Not a cashiers check! We had lots of furniture broken, we have missing pieces of furniture and missing boxes. While the packing was efficient, it turned out to be not too careful which resulted in lots of damage. We had literally a mirror put diagonal in the wardrobe box without any padding, we also had drawers ripped out of the bad which tells me the person who was taking it apart did not know what they were doing.    When the truck showed up they came with some local guy..yes one person to unload around 300 pieces. Under the contract we were suppose to have furniture put back together, which was not the case. We had several pieces for us to built. Overall horrible service! It is a scam.

  10. Poor communication.

I moved new (still packed in boxes) furniture from a furniture company in Florida to my home in Connecticut. The sales person was wonderful on the phone, and promised me the world.  "No problem" was his answer to everything.  And I had a contract stating what was to be done. When they picked up the furniture, they underestimated the space on the truck, and I was charged $400 more for extra truck space.  Having them reduce the charge to $400 was a fight - they wanted $600 . Then, when they arrived at my home in Conn, the driver WOULD NOT unpack the truck nor would he open the boxes and inistall the furniture without an additional $400 charge.  It was a nightmare.  Calls back and forth to BayFlower were to no avail.  They would not change their position. After I agreed to pay the additional money, the delivery men did a very nice job unpacking the boxes and putting the furniture together, including the 3 bedroom sets.  They did take away all of the cardboard packing materials. Using Bayflower was a terrible experience.  The communication between what the company promised me and what they told their driver was polar opposites.  I do not blame the driver - I blame Bayflower. My advice would be to NOT use Bayflower - EVER!!  .

  11. Great Job!

I have never written a review before, but I felt compelled because these guys were so amazing. My husband and I will be moving in the next two months and we had to find  a moving company and a place to store our stuff while renovations are being done on our current home. My husband pulled a bunch of moving companies off of the internet and I decided to call Bayflower,  based on the many positive reviews, they did a great job !!

  12. PERFECT job guys!

This was the first time I hired movers to help me out. I moved out of my old residence and used these guys and they were awesome.. definitely my best moving experience. They called a few days early to confirm and showed up on time (early Saturday morning which I felt badly about) they had a great sense of humor about it. I had a decent amount of heavy furniture and delicate items that they handled carefully. I didn't have a box for my tv and so I had them crate it and they wrapped it up carefully, no damage at all! I heard all these warnings about movers - they're expensive, slow, etc, but these guys were incredibly fast and efficient. I would use this company again in a heart beat. Super fast, friendly and professional.

  13. Felt like a queen.

I surely felt like a queen while the hardworking movers were packing my three bedroom home in Jersey. The service was beyond my expectations and exactly what I wanted to have. My new home is now in Illinois where my things arrived in eight days after the movers packed them. The prices were affordable, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to hire them.

  14. Bayflower Moving Group.

After some estimates from different moving companies, I decided to hire BayFlower Moving Group. Somehow, they were the best. When I phoned and talked to their salesman, Joe, his kind voice and friendly answers made me choose them. The guys came on time and started working immediately since I had to move from Newark, New Jersey. This was such a great experience since the guys did a great job and everything ended up in an excellent way. Their price was so competitive, the workers were very friendly and professional and if you hire BayFlower Moving Group, you do not have to worry about your household goods because it is not going to get damaged, broken or even lost. I am speaking from personal experience..These people know what they are doing and once you get a quote from them, that is it! You do not have to worry about any extra charges or hidden fees. To sum up, my overall impression about these guys is that they are excellent, very professional, friendly and took very good care of me and my family.
