  1. Threatened me..

Threatened ME!!Dont believe the 9-14 days delivery promise they make. Really had a terrible experience with them.I am not sure how they got even 4 star rating.Might be they paid someone to do it.Recently I moved from Vancouver to Ottawa and I shipped my car and other stuffs with them on May 9th. Before paying they said it will take 9-14 business days to deliver the car and stuffs. They asked me to drop the car somewhere which is very far from the city and so I had to request them to drop me back at the metro so I could take the train. They promised me they would..but after paying the cash advance and dropping the car they said the driver has left, please take a bus and we don't have any other drivers availble!!whatever I was able come back. After 2 weeks time when I called them from Ottawa for the status. Now they said they are not sure when it will be delivered.I called them again after a week and now they said they are waiting for other jobs on the way. They gave me tentative date of June 12th. What??..Initially whenever you call them before paying they said it would take no longer than 9-14 business days. Believing that I still had my BC license plate in my car and I called them and said I have to return them before the next insurance cycle. I said you guys gave me a false information but there is a delivery representative named Victor he called me and literally threatened me that he would drop the luggage somewhere in Alberta since the truck is there. They are no way responsible for the stuff and they don't care about it. I had to please them and remove my previous reviews. Finally they delivered the car by June with cracked tail lights. I couldn't claim the insurance either since the deductible is more and not worth . So avoid them if you need a proper customer care or support and they deliver only after their truck gets full.

  2. Great to Deal With.

Correspondence with this company was the first thing that attracted me to them. We were moving from Toronto to a rural area in Northwest Ontario (20 hours from TO).
They were always quick to reply to my emails and help with all the info I needed.
The movers who picked-up our items were very thorough and packed things very carefully. They worked quickly and were friendly and helpful.
Although it took longer for our things to arrive than we had anticipated (it was 2 weeks), when things arrived they were in fine condition and the movers were friendly, careful and fast.
I would definitely use this company again.

  3. Many Thanks!

I have recently moved from MB to Vancouver, and I was impressed by the service I have received from centennial, I moved over 15 furniture units are handily graved (very valuable)   for me so I had to ask many question before I proceed and  their agents explained (clear and smooth )the process from the very beginning till the end ,and HERE YOU GO I have reunite with my furniture in perfect condition as I left before ,i'm so happy that I choose Centennial ,Many thanks to you centennial.

  4. Easiest and stressfree move.

Centennial moving took care of my 3 bedroom house move from Penticton BC to Halifax NS and I'm really glad I chose this company.
Customer service took care to provide all necessary information so I avoided any additional charges and even it was less then the inial estimate.
The price matched the level of service I received all throughout the move. Movers were very cheerful and helpful, in two words, this was my easiest and stressfree move in a while.

  5. Recommend!

Centennial moving helped me move twice, everything went nice and smooth, customer service was really helpful, gave me all the necessary information.
The moving team was very reliable, came in time for the pick up and delivered in time as well. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and use their service in the future.

  6. Good job centennial!

I recently moved with centennial from Whitewood SK to Toronto ON, it was the best out of all the companies that I worked with before, very professional staff, positive, smiling and they knew what they were doing, communication with the agents was on level beyond my expectation , great experience, good job centennial!

  7. Not at all the service nor experience I expected based on the reviews.

I moved my belongings from Vancouver to Toronto. Like other reviewers I ended up paying twice the quotable amount for a 1 bedroom apartment weight. Funny, I didn't even have all the fixtures of a one bedroom I.e. bed frame, dresser etc. Just a mattress, no couch, side tables or anything and still my belongings weighed in at double the weight! The problem I had with this experience is I literally had to guide the process myself, ask all the questions, double check I wasn't going to be nickle and dimed with "extras" and was met with "silence" when I said I was unhappy with the service along the way and thus concerned. The patronizing attitude I got from the Store Manager made me sure that I was going to share my experience. We live in a capitalistic country, SERVICE MATTERS or you seek out the competitor. The Manager told me "I was wasting his time, he didn't see the problem and they can't guess all the questions people had out there. I likewise did not see a contract that would have allowed me to elect supplemental insurance or services. My goods arrived later than I was told, then they told me I would have to pay another $200 dollars if the truck/trailer couldn't fit on my street (they waived it later because my goods were received a full week later than expected). 1/4 of my framed pictures ended up arriving broken. Given the attitude of the business I didn't even bother to try and claim them. I'd had a terrible experience and just wanted it over with. I had requested additional packing and they told me I didn't. I picked this service based on the reviews and wonder if I just got the dud? But I dug a little deeper and noticed others have had the same experience. Next time, I'll take a bit more time on this. I think it does matter where you've learned your "Customer Service" training from. These folks bring to bear a non "north american" service model which means, they are always right and the rest of us are just lucky they are doing the work for us. If I hadn't asked consistently what are all the steps? Is there supplemental insurance I can purchase? When will my goods arrive? etc. etc. it was never offered up. I had to keep following up myself! Not good enough and given it ended up being more than double the quote with a weight that I couldn't verify and when asked if I could was told that would cost me extra too! Overall, avoid this service if at all possible.

  8. Nothing to fear.

This was a great experience. I moved 300 miles from Quebec to the Toronto. I was quoted a price and when I called before the move and removed a few boxes and items the price was adjusted down. They were easy to get in touch with also. Trey, who was in charge the day of the move, was great. They came on time and everything was packed so carefully. I was impressed. Even though they got great reviews I was nervous because of all the horror stories you hear about movers. I had nothing to fear. It was so easy. I requested Trey to deliver my belongings also. They let me know the day before the delivery and Trey called a couple of hours before to let me know his arrival time. I could not have imagined a better move. You cannot go wrong with these guys. Great!

  9. Movers Were Professional.

Every single member of the crew was careful, quick, kind, efficient and professional. It was interesting, watching how these guys swiftly wrap and whisk our stuff into the truck, then out. Not a single item was damaged. They were early and ended up charging considerably less than the estimate. Excellent experience all around!!

  10. Can't wait to move again).

Maybe its because my moving was local (I moved form Etobicoke to Toronto) but my experience with Centennial Moving was exceptional. I didn’t really had time to be stressed or worried, I called them, they took care of everything, and here I am, in a brand new home, nice and cozy. Maybe I should move again, in order to make my final opinion why everything went so smooth). Thank you guys, you’re the best.

  11. 2nd Time With Centennial Moving.

First time I hired them to help me move, was when my sons were moving from Calgary, to Vancouver about a month ago and now I’m doing the same. I believe that if someone does a good job that they deserve to be hired again and here I was now, packing and moving my things with the same crew, now this second move is from Calgary to Toronto.

  12. Do not use.

I wish that I could rate 0/5 stars. I have been going back and forth with this company since before my stuff arrived at the end of august. In the process of moving my belongings the driver, after I SPECIFICALLY told him to leave, strapped my 4 mattresses to the outside of the back of the moving truck, also knowing full well that a 2nd truck was coming for the remainder of my stuff. He drove through the rain and everyone knows how the back of trucks look then the roads are wet and dirty. When I received my beds, the plastic they had put them in had broke open while they were on the back to the truck, so they were STILL wet!! after sitting in bags for NINE days growing god only knows what they were delivered to me. Now the company has admitted that this was their fault and the fault of the driver but are only willing to compensate us 400.00 Now i'm not sure what I am supposed to do with 400.00 that wouldn't even replace 1 mattress. They are stating that because I only had the basic insurance that they will not replace the beds. Now I assumed that insurance would cover if they were in a car accident or if someone stole something but I was unaware that driver and company neglect was part of it. My final bill was twice as much as was quoted, which they are saying it was my fault that I didn't tell them the proper weight. Now I don't know how I was supposed to guess at a weight. I told them that it was a 4 bedroom house and a car, they should have guessed at the high end not low and then charge double. They also cannot give me the weight slip nor does their invoice actually have the weight that they charged me for. They also arranged for drop off on a sunday and told me that I had to pay before their office closed on friday. So I had to pay before I even saw my belongings!! Please be very aware of companies when you book and ask a tonne of questions, get everything in writing, or record ALL telephone conversations. I would NEVER recommend this company!!

  13. Lost my Things in The Process of Moving.

I moved from BC to Halifax NS and had to pay 8000 dollars
Which would have been fine only if they didn't loose my boxes.
They lost a 6 feet plastic container box full of purses and kitchen utilities things. Also, the movers brought a box of Christmas tree that was not ours which means another family lost their tree as well.
All this would have been fine only if this crappy company delt with the issue professionally. Instead all they said was: "sorry we don't know where your box is. Please wait for a call back."
    The call back never came.
All their 5 star reviews are by their friends and family. Go on FB and read the real comment by people who share horror stores.

  14. Cheating company.

My worst day in last 5 years. I chose Centennial moving for my move from Toronto to Winnipeg. After pickup, they informed me that shipment weight was 12100Lbs, bill around 6600$. I denied as I knew it was around 6000-8000lbs as I moved from other city last year with 6000 lbs. They tried to scare me that I have to pay $525 to re do scale and if the new weight is more than %10 difference, they will adjust the price! I asked why? I asked them to rescale simply before unloading and scaling costs just $50 but they didn’t accept. When you call and talk to any of them, they repeat their own words as if they don’t listen to you like an answering machine! They don’t care about you and present no reason but also repeat and repeat!! I accepted to pay for rescale when I would be present at scaling station as I wanted to observe rescaling. They agreed and sent the scaling address the next day and when I asked them to get driver cell phone number they refused. Next morning I was hang around for one hour but nobody showed up, then called them, somebody said “ the driver has left after scaling and now is on the way of your house.” When I asked angrily about the reason, he said it doesn’t matter you will see the result, he was very relaxed and didn’t give me any apology or reason, just repeating doesn’t matter!! When I got home the driver asked me to pay with cash! I said I’ll pay by credit card to have invoice and he said we can’t accept because we don’t have the machine to get credit card. After long phone argument with Viktor who was a very rude manager I had ever seen, they accepted to send invoice to my email immediately after paying cash. Anyway, I paid them $6800 while recording with camera to have a proof that I paid to these gangsters! After payment Victor called me and said if you want the invoice receipt, you should sign a letter on your name saying that you don’t have any complain from our company and you’ll be fine. I was devastated and told him I would call the police right now and claim you and he said very relaxed: OK, let’s do it!! I refused unloading my stuffs and after a while the driver called Victor and talked in Russian language and finally told me that they sent invoice to my email!
By the way, only dining table and two boxes of our dishes as well as glass frames of our painting were broken.
This company is a very dangerous, rude and really gangster. Please run away them. I have all documents if anybody wants to report/publishing anywhere.

  15. Move from Burlington to Kelowna.

Moved our home goods from Burlington to Kelowna.
We requested extra storage time, which they showed on quotation

They phoned day before pickup to try to re schedule pick up.

10 days after pick up, Out of the blue, they Phoned day before to deliver in Kelowna, they were suppose to store, as per quotation, told me that was my problem to find a place to put it. Kelowna had zero storage at normal storage locations.

Had to drive overnight from Calgary to find storage. They did not check anything to make sure it was all there, I have no idea if everything is there.

Their weight was over 1400 pounds heavier than container terminal weight it at. or around $700 overcharge.

No one from management will even acknowledge this, I have requested an acknowledgment numerous times.

Movers left some of my goods on truck, we had to tell them it was ours, they said it was someone else's. Proved it was.

They were in a big hurry to unload with little concern for accuracy.

They demanded payment Cash or visa at site. We had to be there for either method of payment. I have heard movers can be nightmares, this was certainly one.

Best description of move with Centennial is " Wripped off "
NEVER NEVER NEVER USE THS COMPANY.
