  1. I highly recommend Evergreen Van Lines.

    Evergreen Van Lines team were professional, creative, efficient, and incredibly kind! They took great care of my furniture and in their communication with me. I couldn't have had a better experience. I highly recommend Evergreen Van Lines.

  2. The worst service I have ever dealt with. Do not work with Evergreen.

    Evergreen Van Lines, LLC deserves Zero star for the worst service that we have ever dealt with.

    Be aware that Evergreen is NOT a full-service moving company with their own trucks, and they are simply a moving coordinator/broker (hidden in the fine print of their website).

    In addition, they are NOT Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited.

    So don’t be fooled by all the good reviews and low moving estimates.

    If you read my review below, you will understand how they take advantage of innocent customers.

    In early May, we arranged four moves together from Cleveland, OH to Dallas, TX with Scott (point of contact at Evergreen) who set up this scam.

    Until getting quotes and depositing 1/3 of their moving estimates, they were very responsive.

    However, as soon as they received the deposit, their attitude changed completely.

    Prior to the scheduled pick-up dates on 6/28/2021 and 6/29/2021, their dispatch team didn’t call us to confirm the final details, and nobody responded back to our phone calls, voice messages, and emails in a timely manner.

    Their estimates were absolutely inaccurate even after FaceTime video walk-through.

    Here is how much they quoted and how much I ended up paying: My house (estimated $9,100 but paid 15,756, almost 1,000 cu ft discrepancy without additional items), University lab (estimated $2,535 but paid $3,685), Company lab (estimated $3,715 but paid $4,764) and Dr. J’s house (estimated $5,091 but paid $7,440).

    We strongly believe that they intentionally underquoted moving costs, misled us into signing the contract, and then surprised us with the bill on the day of the move.

    Since they failed to pick up our stuffs on the dates scheduled two months ago, we had to reschedule it.

    They refused to compensate additional costs incurred by the rescheduling, including labor costs of helpers, renting storage spaces, hotel booking, cancelation of travel reservation, etc.

    On the rescheduled pick-up dates on 7/2/2021 and 7/3/2021, they hired a very small, local moving company, whom had no responsibility to match the quoted price.

    We had no choice but to accept the final bills because it was too late to find another moving company, and we would lose our deposit (a total of $6,870 for our four moves) if canceling.

    It took us three weeks to have our stuffs delivered.

    Of course, there were dozens of items broken, and the movers refused to assemble furniture they disassembled.

    Oh, I didn’t mention the worst part yet.

    Evergreen allocated $680 out of $3,200 deposit without our consent for non-existing “full value protection” insurance and refused to refund the money unless we sign an unfair agreement, essentially prohibiting us from suing Evergreen and posting bad reviews.

    Now we clearly understand how they do business and maintain their good reviews.

    They took our deposit illegally and held us in a hostage situation, trying to make us unable to hire another moving company and write bad reviews.

    What they did to us is criminal, and Evergreen Van Lines is a scam.

    We will bring a lawsuit with our lawyer against Evergreen Van Lines for their wrong doings.

  3. TERRIBLE

    DO NOT USE. THE WORST COMPANY WE HAVE EVER WORKED WITH.

    Background: Military family moving from TX to VA. We booked the move ourselves (not through the military). Scheduled move 3 months out to ensure we get the dates we needed. Large 4+ bedroom move. Gave deposit of $3k at the time of booking.

    We received a call the week of our move confirming our move date and times. The foreman was supposed to come the day before our move (Friday) to inventory and do paperwork. Friday comes and we have heard nothing from the foreman or Evergreen. I called them late on Friday (day before our move) to inquire about the status of our move since I had heard nothing from them. After calling 10+ times (a common theme in this story) they finally answer the phone and tell me that our move will not be happening the next day because "the truck broke down" and had to reschedule us for 2 days later. We had stressed to them over and over (from time of booking to the week of the move) that we had to be out of the house by our moving day and made them confirm that THIS EXACT SCENERIO would not happen to us. They promised and promised that it would not get pushed back any further and they had already lined everything up for the movers to be there on the rescheduled day (Monday). After calling 20+ times over the weekend, I finally get someone (Shelly) on the phone to confirm that the movers will be there in the morning on Monday and she confirmed that they would be at our house between 8am-10am. Obviously 10am arrives the next day and I can get a hold of anybody at Evergreen. Once I finally do, from my wifes phone because I am positive they blocked my number, they had no idea that I was supposed to be moved that day and then told me "the driver has COVID". After finally getting a manager (Adam?) on the phone he says that he received word Sunday night that "the entire moving crew has COVID" (totally not true) and that the information just never got relayed to me. They offered to reschedule for the following Saturday (1 week after our original move date). I then receive a call later that day from Shelly again saying that EVERGREEN IS COMPLETELY CANCELING MY MOVE FOREVER! They could not find anyone to move me and canceled completely on us, with no remorse or compensation other than returning our money. I then was transferred to their legal representative (Lee) when I started asking them for compensation for the thousands of dollars that we had incurred since they had canceled 3x on us. I was told by Lee that he would get back to me after talking with corporate, but no surprise, I have not heard from him in 2 days and cannot get anyone to answer my calls.

    My wife, family, friends, and I will be sharing this story, and all the other terrible reviews that I have heard about, to the US NAVY Personal Property department, TANSCOM, and through the military community (forums, facebook, etc.) to make sure that this FRAUD of a company goes out of business. As someone who used to work for a moving company, this company should be destroyed for its unethical negligence and I will make sure I do everything possible to make our story heard. We will be pursuing legally.

    TLDR: DO NOT be suckered in by low ball quotes, your move will not happen because they will dump your move to move someone else for more money. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't believe a word they say, they will lie to you just to get you off the phone.

    Moving was great! Was super-efficient and very good at communication. Had a positive attitude and would definitely hire them again in the future!

  5. Happy overall...

    Even in the midst of a global pandemic Evergreen Van Lines moving team brought their A game for my move. They kept in close communication both before and during the move, were courteous and careful with my belongings, and brought a pleasant, hard-working attitude. My only complain is price should be lower but it is good.

    The team did a great job helping me move into my new home. They were fast, efficient, and careful. Even managed to move a heavy fridge up a flight of stairs. Would use them again for my next move.

    My movers showed up on time and were very courteous and professional. My bed is a bit of a monster to dissemble, and they were efficient in breaking it down and packing. Highly recommend these movers.

    Great moving company. I liked that they sent a price range upfront then gave me a specific price after I sent a video of what needed to be moved. They replied fast to all communication, movers wrapped up all items carefully, pick up and drop off were well done. The movers were all very friendly.

  11. Disaster

    They basically get a portion of the money for the move as finders fee. They make the deal with you and then hand it off to the lowest bidder who will not honor the agreements you had with Evergreen. A move that was agreed with Evergreen to be done is 7 to 14 days took a month. Our household goods sat for almost 2 weeks in San Jose, CA in a warehouse of Air1 Movers, then when they finally decided to actually move our goods to the east coast, they took them to Chicago (at another moving company). There, they sat for another week before being moved to TN. When the did arrive, it was Budget rental truck with one guy. He had to delay moving us in while he advertised on Craigslist to get some help to unload the truck. Needless to say, with all this re-handling and passing things off, several items are damaged and missing. Find a different company to help you move! Once Evergreen makes the deal, they GHOST you bigtime! They don't return your calls or even care about you or your deal with them.

    Evergreen Van Lines team was very responsible and pleasant to talk to. Movers came within the time frame promised and did very good job. Finished within estimated time with good care on everything. Very good experience with the company!

  13. I already did for a friend moving next month.

    It was a very easy phone call arranging the move with Evergreen Van Lines team leader. We had a hiccup with the original move date but he made it easy to reschedule. On moving date, the group showed up on time ready to work. We had four workers who were very friendly and professional. They worked a full entire day, which included carrying a Sherman Clay upright piano. The best part of the whole process was they were very honest with the recording of time and always checked in with me regarding the accuracy of the time. I would highly recommend this company, which I already did for a friend moving next month.

    Great experience with this company. Their pricing structure was very clear compared to other companies I considered. Their crew showed up on time and very efficiently got our things loaded into the truck and carefully unloaded at our new home. Highly recommended!
