  1. I highly recommend them to all!!

The house we moved into had a lot of stairs but we are glad that we had Jackson Movers with us for our move. They managed everything and there was nothing they can't do. The movers are great. Overall I had a good experience with the affordable mover's team.

  2. Just bad.

Terrible experience. The man I initially talked to that did the sale was great, which makes sense, but everyone after had poor professionalism and customer service. They charged extra at every step in the process. My stuff arrived in poor condition and the movers acted like nothing looked wrong. I had boxes that were literally broken and had breakable items falling out. I filed a claim, have not heard back. I paid a lot of money, more than I agreed to initially, and I have broken stuff, had to deal with stress for weeks, and now I have broken irreplaceable items that no one has apologized or reimbursed for.

  3. Incredibly thankful for this company!!

Jackson Movers was very thorough, professional, and made my moving experience absolutely wonderful. Great job done by this movers I’m really satisfied with their services. Will use your service the next time we have a need. Thanks.

  4. Horrible experience. Do not use this company!

After speaking with a number of different companies, we selected Jackson under the explicit condition that they would deliver on a specific date, no exception. We also told Chad that we were concerned about having a truck big enough for the move, and that getting the truck size right was imperative. Their sales rep, Chad, stated that neither item would be an issue. We reviewed the inventory list with Chad. We discovered a few items that were missing and asked Chad to manually add them, which he said that he did. Based on all of the above, we put down a deposit.

Chad said that we would receive a phone call about a week before to gauge how packing was coming along. This never occurred. Their dispatcher called three days before the move and when I informed him that no one ever checked in, he was surprised. I told him I was particularly concerned about the truck size since no one had updated the inventory, but they assured me that the truck would be fine.

The crew came out and the truck was NOT big enough. They said that there were items missing from the inventory, some of which we had specifically told Chad to update, which he didn't. They immediately said that it would cost an additional $800 for everything that we had. We were forced to write the check because we had to be out of the house that day.

The worst part is that after they had all of our belongings, they told us that the targeted move in date would be as much as 5-7 days BEYOND what we agreed with Chad, despite our indicating that the move in date was firm, and a condition of awarding the business to Jackson. We had to escalate and threaten to report them to the BBB in order to get them to stand by their original commitment.

The crew did arrive on time, however, the crew offloading the truck was told that they were offloading into an apartment, and didn't send enough people. We had 2-men unloading a 4000 sq foot house, and three flights of stairs. They were there for over 10-hours. The driver ended upping to leave the two men behind to finish unloading. One of the two men eventually left, leaving one crew member to finish the unloading by himself. We had to help this poor guy in order to finish the job. It was awful.

This is a horrible, horrible company. Totally dishonest and completely corrupt. Do not use them.

  5. Terrible delivery experience.

Holy cow, the damage to our belongings is incredible. We used brand new Home Depot boxes, half were their "heavy duty" and, well, if I can upload pictures, I will. I put a bunch on google. It is so bad, it looks like someone did it on purpose. I've only looked at half of the boxes so far, but I can't believe what I'm seeing..

I tried to contact Jackson Movers (Mike and Chad were managing my move), neither called back or emailed. Moreover, Mike lied to me about their being a "full-service" moving company. The people that delivered our property told me they didn't work for Jackson Movers at all.

The person in charge of delivery, JR, also tried to convince us that he couldn't get the truck into our neighborhood so they'd need to charge us an extra $750. When we told him other moving vans had been in there, it became $600, then $500, then I showed him a picture of another van parked in front of our property and he finally relented and drove the truck in. He still insisted on another $150, and everything had to be in cash. (Mike told me we could pay by credit card in advance, or with a money order on the day of delivery, but delivery guy would only take cash.)

I had to ask this guy for a receipt for the additional $150, and he wrote that that charge was from the people picking up our stuff, not him. JR must have told me 50 times that nothing was his fault and that he was super amazing. He also reminded me several times that there was no need to check if all the boxes were there. He'd already checked. B.S.

I've done 3 transcontinental moves in the last 10 years, and 7 long distance moves before that. I have never seen anything like this.

It sucks when they have all your stuff hostage.
