WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
This company is unreliable. You can never get anyone to answer the phone once they book your move and take your money!! The movers showed up and said the contract I signed was null and void even though they had a list and sizes of all furniture. I had even gotten rid of a lot of the furniture. The movers said because I had "Bulky" items that it would cost me $600.00 per bulky item and that each piece of furniture needed to be packed meaning wrapped with moving blankets and shrink wrapped which came at a heft price. Needless to say they wanted to charge me an additional $4400.00. The guy walked out of my house when I refused to sign the new agreement because I was trying to call MOVESMART to see if this was correct because Joseph Hamilton guaranteed in writing in an email that I would not get charged additional $$.
They agreed to take the furniture but no boxes or totes and not picture and no "Bulky" items because they would not refund my money already paid. I had to get a U-Hauland move the rest of the stuff down. It has cost me an additional 3000. but still cheaper than what they wanted to charge me.
Also the movers said they would not guarantee a delivery date unless I paid an extra $1500.00 and "by law they had up to 21 days to deliver"
Now 14 days later I haven't heard a word and no one at either place the moving company nor MOVE SMART will answer their phone.
I am warning you no matter how "CHEAP" they quote you, in the end you will pay. I am now warning you not to use this company but use a company that owns their own trucks. I should have listened to the reviews.

The worst moving company
Don’t ever use them! I had to be out of my place in Seattle on May2nd(Saturday) and they assured me someone would be there to pick it up. My landlord had new tenants moving in that Wednesday and needed my stuff out. They still had not picked up my stuff and it is now Tuesday. I had to pay an extra $548 for other movers to move my stuff to my friends house in Seattle which was 20 minutes away (luckily my friend had space in her home). Turns out they did not have any moving company booked and told me that no one wanted to take my route from Seattle to Denver and that I need to pay more money if I want to look more desirable so the movers would take my route. Eventually movers come a few days later. They make it seem like they were on the way with my stuff when in actuality it was sitting in a warehouse. They tell me they have up to 21 days to hold my stuff not including weekends or holidays. They literally used up the full 21 days and I am now receiving my stuff over a month later. The United moving company just told me it would have been a lot easier and cheaper if I booked with them instead of through a broker.
Worse than all your ex-boyfriends combined
If I were hard-pressed to describe the people of Move Smart in a single phrase, it would come down to two choices: cockroaches, and miserable subhumans. Upon further consideration, I'd have to admit that I couldn't even call them cockroaches — they lack the fortitude.
This 'company' is a scam of an operation that will take your deposit, tell you you have 3 days to cancel, and then when you do stumble upon some of these horrific reviews, steal that money, even when cancelled within the three day window. I was told when I inquired after my deposit that 'they'd told the bank to send it back.' I don't know what's worse: being stupid enough to say such nonsense, or being comfortable pretending to be that stupid.
I am immensely glad that I did cancel, and although I had to report this as a fraudulent charge to my bank in order to get my money back (there was no getting anywhere with their 'customer service' team), I can't imagine how awful this must have been for people who ended up actually using them.
Any positive review you see about them is fake. These miserable subhumans (I've decided!) can crawl back into the Floridian swamphole they came out of.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
After no communication and me hounding them to make sure my move was on track, they no showed on moving day. I had to scramble to find last minute movers for 1000 mile move. They said they would push the move out a couple days but no way I would trust them again. Do not use this service! They totally underbid the job also. They did refund my deposit but a lot of good that does on moving day. Crooks!
Do Not use !!! Deceptive- Poor customer service
I hired them to move me to Hawaii- they did nothing for me and I had to hire another company- I lost my deposit and am fighting to get some of it back - They sell a great story but can’t execute. Do Not Use them!!!
Incompetent and dishonest
They sub-contract the work and gave the wrong pricing to the actual movers. I specifically asked them of other charges and gave assurances that there were none. When the actual movers come in, the price went up by 40%. And then no one answers the phone at customer service. Do not use.
Scam
This company, as you can see by the numerous negative reviews, is nothing but a business broker.
They take zero (0) responsibility when there are issues with the moving companies they recommend.

Beware!!!!
Canceled our move before "their" 72 hour policy. Been well past "their" 15 day processing refund still no check. which was $1000. Dodging our calls and emails. Very rude too when they actually do answer. I've got screenshots of their website, emails, call logs, etc. If we don't get our money back this week we are going to talk to lawyer that does not lose and my uncle in the FBI as well as other state agencies in Florida. This is absolutely rediculous and these people need to be investigated, ALL of them!
Rip off
I called and a representative named Christ quoted me a price last month in April 2021 and set the date to come. Two weeks later the day came and I had to call them. Someone called changing the day to that Wednesday, and they still did not come. I still am calling the company.

This company deserves zero stars. They are moving brokers. They pawn off the move to another sleezy company. They are unethical. Don’t ever use.

I originally contacted Move Smart in May of 2020 for a move. I was given an estimate and then they doubled it when added approximately 15 more boxes. I then cancelled and was told by Daniel Malone that they would not refund my deposit and said i had a credit. I then went to use my credit within a year and they told me it was null and void. The "supervisor" i spoke to was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL" and was cursing at me and told me i needed to learn how to read a contract and then refused to send me a copy of my contract and then hung up on me... AGAIN, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Nightmare!
If you like being charged THREE TIMES THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE despite sending photos of all items before the estimate, then hire Move Smart.
If you’d like your mover to show up angry, with a bullying attitude then these are your guys.
If you don’t mind having a valuable painting vandalized, slashed with a knife, this is your company.
If you’re okay with a company that gives itself two days to show up, and can’t appear on either of them, then hire Move Smart. But if not, please heed the warnings of other reviewers and stay away. I told them my mom needed to be out by the 10th, they didn’t send a crew til the 12th, causing extraordinary stress and inconvenience for all parties. And when they did show up, claimed the job was underbid and increasing the cost from $1800 to $5400.
To be clear (which Move Smart was not) this company is a broker that hires other similarly poorly reviewed companies to do the actual work. We hired Move Smart who handed us off to Superior Van Lines and/or Konami--but they are always cagy about who they were. The Konami crew showed up with a Budget Rental-branded truck.
But don’t listen to me, listen to the movers themselves: the pick up crew sent two people and one of them said of the other (the leader) that he would never work for him again because he was “too crooked”. And the unloading crew told us they could not understand why the cost was so high, when there wasn’t that much stuff.
The Move Smart/Superior/Konami entity demonstrated every one of the qualities of a scam moving company, and you should stay away from all three.
Also, contact your congressperson and tell them that legislation needs to be created to protect consumers from this type of abuse. Moving is stressful enough without the wildcard of predatory movers. It really is criminal and hits people when they are most vulnerable, and in my mother’s case, holding her possessions hostage.
Also, there should really be a zero or negative stars rating to properly rate this company. If you hire them, you'll be in for trouble.
Rude!
I wouldn't even give them a 1 star. They were very rude and aggressive. The guy, forgot his name, gave me 3 different price quotes with in 5 minutes. When I told them I would have to check with my husband on prices he got rude with me and hung up. Do not go with these people.
