  1. Useless!

8 months and I still waiting for 6 boxes to be delivered in Australia
it was supposed to be delivered late June after many phone calls and e mails, I found out than everything was still in England. the company is now under administration so I had to organise and pay somebody else to take over the shipping, the new company find out that the paperwork was n t done properly, I had to pay and extra $ 900, total nightmare and so costly.

  2. They should be ashamed of themselves.

They stuffed up the pick-up, they never passed on the paperwork to the the shippers at the port of destination for customs, and the shipment arrived severely damaged –– and now they are claiming insolvency while still offering quotes if you request one online.

STAY AWAY -- THEY ARE BAD PEOPLE

    Stuart Hall is particularly duplicitous.

  3. Lack of communication and very long delay in delivery.

I am still waiting for important personal goods that should have been delivered by 5th September. It is now 14th September. I have asked for estimate when I might get my things and have been given no response, and no explanation for why things are being delayed.

  4. Movecorp are a very caring, professional and efficient service.

I found that from the very beginning the co ordinator Michelle kept me informed and up to date on everything related to my move from Belgium to the U.K. In a very prefiessional, efficient and friendly way. The cost of the moveand the insurance was by far the most competent I've quote I found out of several other companies. The support from Michelle and the crew who moved my belongings was just amazing - they helped with every aspect of my move. The moving crew packed my belongings carefully, professionally and very efficiently. This whole experience with Movecorp was truly as stress and problem free as one could hope for.

  5. Very angry.

I wouldn't go near this company again and would strongly recommend that no one else does. Initial service was great, professional and reassuring, we were told all items are protected, TV were put into protective bags and that the greatest of care was taken. After that it went down hill. Nothing was protected, when we asked why the guys doing the work said they never do, our 2 year old leather sofa was dropped and damaged suffering three gouges out of it, our 1 year old washing machine suffered three large dents and scratches. This was photographed by the removal guys who admitted they had dropped the sofa blaming the young guy who was helping them and said the damage to the washing machine was where they had stacked it in the van. We were told the office would call us the same day. No one bothered, a call to them and a very abrupt "did you read the small print?" Followed by a "you should of taken out insurance" we were offered £40 back as compensation. See you in the small claims court movecorp.

  6. Professional.

Many thanks to the team at Movecorp from the start to the finish they were professional and understanding in a stressful time of my life. Massive Thanks Eric.

  7. Thank you Movecorp.

Sorry it has taken a little time to write this review as you can image moving house is very stressful and moving to another country was even so more. I engaged in Movecorp to move our belongings and spoke with Stuart who made the moving process smooth and had great empathy with our stress. I would defiantly recommend their services. Thanks Movecorp and all your lovely staff. Tony.

  8. Simple, quick and efficient!

Great experience with movecorp moving from Switzerland to the U.K. From the start, Carly-Anne was very friendly and helpful, and always quick to respond to my queries. The guys (Lee and Chris) that came to physically move our things were really polite, fast workers who took good care of everything they moved. The lorry was really well packed and not a single bit of damage was received at the other end. Always happy to recommend MoveCorp, they’ve moved us three times now and I’ve had a good experience each time.

  9. Simply amazing.

The company made my move comfortable, and they always informed me throughout. I was so nervous and they took that away with the excellent customer service thank you 5**.

  10. Would highly recommend.

First of all, I just wanted to personally commend you, Kate and all the members involved for your absolutely fantastic teamwork, professionalism and responsiveness!
From the very beginning, while I was quoting numerous moving companies, you were by far the quickest to provide me with a realistic estimate, which turned out to be an unbeatable price in comparison with your competitors.
As for the delivery on the 1st of November In Bristol, it went impeccably well, what is more with a very friendly crew. I am very pleased to report no damage whatsoever to my belongings nor any missing item, so thankfully no insurance claims will have to be filed. Most notably, the brand new bike I bought just before the removal arrived in pristine condition! Great job!

  11. Super efficient and helpful.

Brilliant service. I had to move from Avignon in France to Bradford in the UK. The removal team came on time, picked up everything in 10 minutes, and 5 days later they were delivering everything home. Super helpful team, friendly guys :) totally recommend!

  12. Don't touch them with a barge pole.

The most shocking customer service I have ever received. I had paid £888 for a partial shipment from UK-Brittany, France. We were not told what day it would be delivered despite us making it very clear we needed a few days notice as we are not based in France and needed to arrange someone to be at the house. A couple HOURS before the delivery we were called by the driver to say he was almost there. We complained to movecorp and dealt with James Mallett who I can only describe as rude and aggressive. He told me that they don't record their phone calls so it was no use trying to escalate the matter further and to quote him "if you give us a bad review we won't pay you a penny of compensation". They take no responsibility for the poor service they offer and we will most certainly not use them again. Please use another company and don't go near movecorp.

  13. Zero stars.

We paid £5821 to have our container shipped from the UK to Arizona unopened ( the caveat being the US Customs might want to inspect, they didn't ) we where guaranteed that the container would be locked at our door in the UK and shipped to our door in Arizona, a door to door service, that was a con and a lie, the fact that the removers ombudsman upheld my complaint and awarded compensation, which they haven't and won't pay, is testament to the fact that MoveCorp do not deal honest and or fair, our stuff arrived broken and damaged and we had to claim on our own insurance.
    Avoid like the plague.
Stuart Hall will lie to you
    James Tennant wont take responsibility
Carly Anne Cope will lie to you.

  14. Terrible.

Shocking service from this company. I feel like I have been conned. Please use another reputable company when moving.

  15. Lost, Stolen, Damaged and Woeful Customer Service.

Summary - I paid a little under £5000 to move 10m3 from France to Australia through Movecorp, including £700 of insurance and have incurred over £2000 of costs so far, with damage to the motorbike and the lost key for the motorbike still to be quoted. Collection was mid-October, delivery was mid-March (5 months). I was led to believe it would not take longer than 4 months, but with no guarantees.

The organisation of the collection was a shambles with the date changing multiple times and different plans from different companies involved (Movecorp, and their agent who they'd sent over from the UK). I never had more than 12 hours notice of a cancellation. The collection happened at the end without Movecorp knowing, as they were not communicating effectively with their agent. I had to change international travel and work plans as a result. Stuart Hall was apologetic at the time and made a gesture of goodwill. This acknowledgement and gesture was appreciated, although my feeling was still negative at the time, and Stuart said he hoped they could make it up to me over the rest of the service. I was nervous but hopeful.

The goods were transported back to the UK over several weeks instead of the promised few days to a week. Including being transferred between trailers/containers en route. As a result I ended up with some food and drink and clothing from the drivers thrown into my shipment which I found on unpacking. In the process the key to my motorbike (which has an electronic immobiliser coded to the key) has not been delivered - either stolen or lost, the bike also has damage to the handlebars and wheel from being strapped badly.

The goods were supposed to be repacked in the UK and protected for the move, but weren't, they were just export wrapped which provided minimal protection. This resulted in burst boxes, breakages and loss from boxes spilling out en route.

On arrival I was stung with a very significant duty fee for alcohol, which I had specifically asked for advice from the agent on, but was told I would be below the minimum threshold - this was a lie. While I appreciate it's my responsibility, I would rather Stuart had told me where to find the information than give me false information.

When I contacted Movecorp to tell them about the breakages and loss there was no mention of an apology. I compiled the claim details, calculated depreciation and sent the claim to them. After 9 days I was offered £150 to settle without going through the insurer, but my claim was for over £900 after depreciation (around £2000 before I factored in age and wear and tear). I asked Stuart to explain his calculation several times, but two weeks later he responded with £200 as an offer, instead of addressing the table of costs I had put together. Stuart told me he was only trying to expedite the claim, but it took several weeks between the claim being sent to getting responses.

I posted a review online where I labelled the company crooks. Stuart contacted me much faster than responding to my emails to tell me that Movecorp would take the strongest possible legal action against me if I didn't remove the post. Stuart may be correct as he asserted my original post was slanderous (debateable) so I have rewritten this as a factual account.

I would strongly dissuade anyone from using Movecorp to ship goods from Europe or the UK overseas. The time I have spent, the stress I have endured have been significant and I would never use Movecorp again.

I would advise where possible to use a dedicated container, or to have the goods properly packed and/or crated under your supervision. Photograph and document everything assuming you will not see it again and will need to claim for it.

Further review on insurer to come post claim.
