Time wasn’t on my side as I needed to move my things, have some time to settle and embark on my job. I contacted Open Road Moving and Storage and with the help of their knowledgeable sales representatives, I was able to book for a day I was comfortable with. The movers came early and started working straightaway. I loved how they were meticulous with my stuff and that they were able to deliver on schedule. This was my second move with Open Road Moving and Storage and once again, the move was spotless!! Everything I entrusted on them, they delivered in good condition, and timely so. I recommend them.
They did it right!
I love being relocated by Open Road Moving and Storage because they do it right every time. I was introduced to them back then in 2017 and they have remained my good choice of relocation company ever since. It was one single movement that changed a whole lot of things in my life. I have since then hired them out on multiple contracts, both for me and my close associates. I am yet to hear that they disappointed someone.

With Open Road Moving and Storage lies my loyalty. With this incredible relocation company, lies all that I have always wanted. Although I have not known them for so long, they have proved to be very reliable and worth sticking to. I asked them to help me relocate to New Jersey just over a month ago and they did it all heartedly. They sent down to my former house such a lovely and amazing crew. If all the other service providers were like them, this world would be a much better place.
No delay.
I want to recommend Open Road Moving and Storage. They are good. They offer very good relocation services. They arrive yet on time and carry out the relocation services just as expected. When I was moving from Wisconsin to Georgia, they did exactly that. Their arrival was very early in the morning and all kicked off as planned. They did not delay in any way and as a result of their swiftness, all went on as planned. They were able to finish in pretty good time.
Pocket-friendly charges.
Their costs were so pocket-friendly. That is one thing I cannot forget about Open Road Moving and Storage Crew. It was one of those amazing discounts I haven’t received in years. I ended up saving lots of cash when something I didn’t deem possible before hiring them out. It was so good to them. What made it even nicer is that they maintained the high standards of service delivery despite the cost effective rates. That was unlike other relocation companies. Thank you so much.

About a fortnight ago, I moved to Arizona. In my mind, I knew it was going to be one hectic and tiresome experience. Even when I was hiring a relocation company, I kept it fixed in my mind that the whole things were going to be tedious. It, therefore, came as a big surprise when what had been expected to be very involving turned out to be so much enjoyable. The Open Road Moving and Storage Crew made it appear not only awesome but also manageable. I thank them so much for the good work and hope they will keep it so.
I was proven wrong.
I had expected the relocations to be a bit hectic because there were many items to be moved. From my estimations, packing everything and loading them on the vehicle was going to take six hours on the lower side. When Open Road Moving and Storage came over for the relocations, they proved me wrong. In just four hours, all the pieces of furniture, different items had been nicely packed and loaded onto the truck. I did not believe it myself because it was too good to be true! I love efficiency. When service providers do their work efficiently, I get so much thrilled, excited and happy. When I hired out Open Road Moving and Storage, I wanted nothing short of that. I wanted them to rise up to the occasion and do it as if their life depended on that relocation. Truly enough, they did what I wanted and the relocation was super fine. At least now I have full confidence in them.
Efficient.
Relocations have never been that efficient. I have moved quite a couple of times and none of them can be compared to the experience that I had last month. For the first time. I felt relaxed while being relocated. It had always been filled with anxiety and lots of desperation. Thanks to the Open Road Moving and Storage crew which made the relocation Arizona to Illinois very easy and more enjoyable. It was a good experience. It was so much incredible, I must say. It was so full of honour. Every time I stop to think about how efficient and diligent that relocation was, I can’t help but smile. You did it professionally. I did not know that moving from Arizona to Illinois could be that easy. At least for now, I do have a clear idea of where to search for and what to expect.
Misrepresentation.
Consumers beware of this company's bad business practices. I wish I had researched all of their online reviews written by real customers like myself, rather than focusing on their overall website rating which has been generated by their web team. This is a company that has only been in business 3 months. Initially, I was contacted by the company's owner after filling out a generic moving questionnaire online. I was given a 'binding estimate' on a move from Oklahoma City to Tampa, FL. I was assured my furniture would be picked up on June 4th and delivered on June 10th. Two full weeks later we still have not received ANY of our personal belongings nor can anyone can tell us where it is or when to expect delivery. Anthony who identified himself as the owner, never once told us "Open Road Moving" acts strictly as a broker and is not licensed to transport household goods even though their webpage says they are a moving company with their own trucks. Instead they farm out your move to a 3rd party mover. When this 3rd party mover, in our case, "Top Rate Moving" arrived to pick up our belongings, the driver immediately required us to pay an additional $535 in cash. We had no idea who this company was and being they had arrived at 5:30pm, we could not reach anyone at Open Road Moving. Our contract stated that we had a 'binding, not to exceed estimate" which was now being increased 25% by the driver. I explained to the driver that I did not have access to get cash at this late hour and that all I had was $240 of which he agreed to accept. To date, we were required to pay "Open Road Moving" 75% of our estimate up front. "Open Road Moving" never returns our calls, answers our emails or assist us in dealing with the 3rd party mover that they themselves contracted. We call both companies regularly to check on a delivery date and after being put on hold for countless minutes, are eventually told to call back next week. The only information we have been given is our furniture is in storage somewhere in Illinois. After reading customer reviews of "Top Rate Movers", discovering they have 28 violations and have been revoked from the Better Business Bureau, we determined it was in our best interest to go the expense of hiring a reputable 'national moving company' to pick up our goods in Illinois. We have been told that as long as we pay our bill in full, they will release our belongings to American Van Lines. However, they will not give the address or location of the storage facility and when a representative from American Van Lines called to schedule the pick up, they too were told to call back next week. "Open Road Moving" has thus far cost us an additional $2000 in expenses, 3 additional weeks of time and inconvenience and ultimately legal fees. And still we have no answers or furniture!
Worst company yet.
First I was told they were a family run organization. Nothing further from the truth when they use outside movers who have no intention of honoring the quoted price. The movers show up in a rental truck and a driver who immediately tells me it's 1000 dollars more or they can't move me. Trying to claim my furniture was much heavier although I just had that furniture delivered and know exactly the weight. When u called him on it he tried to say the wrapping and 2 flights of stairs called for more money. When I called him on that, he turns around to call his office. This lady, Irena Love, calls me and repeats the same story. After explaining to her, she then says I don't care it's going to cost you an extravel thousand. When I refused she then goes on as a child and name calls me all kinds of things I won't repeat and then claims to say fine we'Re keeping your deposit and leaving. This by far has been the worst organization I have ever dealt with, and I'm a business traveller. Be very careful when dealing with this company.
Above the rest.
I believe that no relocation company could have done that to me considering the circumstances I was. I needed to relocate to Washington from Arkansas and yet I was short of cash. Open Road Moving and Storage team gave me such a good deal that saw me through the tough time. I couldn’t believe it when it was all done. I know it couldn’t have been possible if not for them. Many appreciations. It was a great experience, being relocated by your crew. They were so capable and acted so responsibly and skilfully during the relocation. What inspired me most was the fact that they were doing it passionately. They loved what they were doing and that’s what impressed me most. There were no quarrel or hassles during the relocation. That makes them even greater.
Beware of fraud.
This company is a brokerage that will promise you the moon. then they hire a subcontractor out of New Jersey who will force you to resend the original contract and acquiesce to a bill of lading and contract for much more money. They are supposed to charge by the pound but will tell you that you have more cubic feet than estimated. You are promised a delivery window of 5 to 10 days and then given a delivery window of 7 to 21 days. Are movers estimate they will arrive between 7 and 9 p.m. tonight, a Friday night. We shudder to think of the condition our property will be in when it arrives. Do not use this broker they are dishonest, they do not return phone calls, and they will do anything to get a deposit from you but they will not honor their contract.
Different Movers.
Most movers are just untrained. In every move I have had in the past, movers would break my furniture and cushion and simply say sorry. I had to spend additional money buying new furniture or fixing the damaged ones. But I guess I hired a different set of movers this time around because it was different this time around. The movers from Open Road Moving and Storage are bunch of wonderful people who are well versed in relating with people. I rate these movers A++ for their excellent job. I want to say without mincing words that Open Road Moving and Storage is the best moving company around. They proved to me that they are the best with the way they worked. When it comes to courtesy, excellence, professionalism, knowledge, diligence, humility and so forth, I have never moved with a moving company that is better than these guys. Keep on with the good works guys.
Fun-Filled.
When the movers came to my house to move my stuff, they asked me to turn on the CD set and I did. We rocked and rocked as we moved my stuff. It was interesting time with them because it was surprising how fast and fun-filled the entire move process was. Honestly, this was an exact opposite of my previous moves with most other moving companies. These movers were a great help when I needed them most. The move was challenging for my family and I because my kids never wanted to leave the old apartment. This is why I am indebted to these guys because they asked me to take care of my family while they handle the move excellently and they did. Thanks for the help you rendered Open Road Moving and Storage!
Better than we thought.
We really underestimated these for this move. When they arrived for the move, we divided the job into two: the movers took the bigger part while my husband and I took the smaller part. To our surprise, they finished before we knew it and even helped us complete the job. We regretted not letting them handle the entire job. These movers are truly experts in the job. I was excited at the organizational ability and efficiency of these guys. They hired some PODS containers for me in order to help organize my stuff. As a result of their skills and efficiency, nothing went out of control unlike things would go out of hand in my past moves. I am also happy that the move was also completed at record time.
