  1. Problems and No One will Call Back - Now Stuck.

    They started out nice enough. They placed this move with a mover. The pick up went well enough. HOWEVER, a 4 days till deliver turned into a 6 day, then since it wasn't here soon enough to be before a storm was delayed till afterward by one full week, then Oooops, somehting happended and it didn't make the truck so not on todays delivery to you so now 5 more days, now its the night before and they are reneging on the agreement for two deliveries and are telling me they are dropping both loads at the first stop!! The second is three hours away (my eldery mothers new home) and both are pointing fingers at who made the error.
    The items were picked up at one home. The items for the two different delivery locations were marked with two different color tags by the movers and put on separate Inventory lists and the second delivery was marked as such. I was charged a second delivery fee. NOW THE ACTUAL MOVER SAYS NO AND IS EXPECTING TO DELIVER IT ALL TO THE FIRST STOP! I never heard back yesterday or today from these folks and have called all 6 numbers listed including the emergency numbers. Someone needs to do something quickly.

  2. Deceptive Business Practices.

    I was quoted one price $2169 and on the night before the move I was told that the price was increased to $4800. I told Peapack to cancel the move and return my deposit of $785.77. Peapack told me that I did not cancel within the 36 hr. window. I said that I did not agree to the $4800 cost. They would not return my deposit.

  3. Fraud company,l. Movers sucks. Do NOT use their service.

    The movers charged me 1/3 more than the original estimate on the moving date. I refused to pay and called the company. They claimed that they would solve the problem and negotiated with the movers later. But they did nothing. The movers charged me more on the delivery day. They even lost one of my furnitures and kept saying that they didn’t pick up on the pick-up date. It was a nightmare. Do Not use them. I am going to file the claim and sue the company. They are just not professional at all, especially the movers. They only love money.

    Husband got a new job in SC and Peapack Moving did such an incredible job helping us move. 10/10 would recommend!!

    I spent 22 years in the United States Coast Guard, and over those 22 years I have moved 8 times. I have had pretty good experiences, and I have had some terrible experiences. Moving long distances is never perfect, but how PPM&S handled every bump in the road during the process left me a satisfied customer. I am sorry to say though; to the company~ I wont be using you again, because I will NEVER move again! crossing fingers.

  6. Complete Nightmare.

    I filled out a request to get information on moving companies and was almost immediately contacted by John from Peapack. I planned to move myself from Oregon to AL but wanted to check to see what the price would be for professionals. He told me he had someone cancel who was moving from a nearby town (20 minutes from where I lived) to FL and that I’d be doing him a favor if I let him handle my move. I saw all the great reviews online and thought I had lucked out given the short notice and discount. I paid the deposit and signed the paperwork and thought everything was taken care of.

    I was told I’d get a call from customer service before my move to verify my household goods and have any questions answered. I never heard from anyone. I called their customer service number to see if they could give me an estimate on how long the movers would take once they picked up my stuff so I could plan my road trip. Chloe never called or returned my call and when it forwarded to the after hours phone she quickly said she couldn’t hear me and hung up. Fast forward to days before my move. I was told I’d know the exact day and time window 48-36 hours prior. The day they were supposed to pickup my goods I got an EMAIL at about 10 am informing me the carrier couldn’t make it. From day one I told them the date I had to be out of my apartment, which was the next day. They claimed my phone didn’t work and they couldn’t call me and that they left me voicemails. I had zero missed calls or voicemails. They were able to find another carrier, my apartment manager gave me extra days since the next tenants paperwork was still be sorted out, and I trusted them AGAIN to handle me move.

    The night before my new pickup date (3 days later) I got a call from the carrier saying they wouldn’t be there and that they may be able to get me by July 2. This is after Peapack GUARANTEED me that they would pick up my stuff. Chloe (customer service manager) even told me earlier that day that the carrier would be there on my pickup date in the afternoon. I called every person I had contact information for and their customer service line, panicking, and NO ONE returned my calls. I guess they were busy enjoying their Friday night and not at all concerned with their customers. I finally got an email from Chloe offering to refund my deposit as though she was doing me a favor. It’s written in your contract that you can cancel with 36 hours of your contract date and get a full refund, and I was within that time frame since I had gotten a new contract after their first mistake! I had to order a U haul that night and call everyone in the phone book the next day (a Saturday) to find someone to pack my U Haul for me, then drive a 15 foot truck across the country last minute because of the incompetence of this company. If they couldn’t have resolved it after their first mistake, they should have said so. That would have given me more time to plan the move myself, thought still last minute. Do no trust this company and do not give them a dime. They will not follow through on any of their procedures and they clearly select the worst carriers to do business with.

    My hubby said we will never move again, we found a really great place to be. It was difficult convincing him. We moved from Tennessee to Charlotte and we love it, and the only reason it wasn't absolutely awful is because of PeaPack. We didn't have to arrange everything, they did everything for us. Love yall, Gale.

  8. Above And Beyond!

    MOVING IS ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTING! THE ENDLESS CALLS, THE PLANNING, THE PACKING EVERYTHING LOL! AFTER BEING SO OVERWHELMED WITH MOVERS I WAS READY TO GIVE UP AND JUST FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT MYSELF EVEN THOUGH I HAD CHILDREN, PETS, AND A STRICT SCHEDULE WITH NEW JOB AND WHEN WE HAD TO BE OUT OF OUR HOUSE FOR THE BUYERS TO MOVE IN. I RECEIVED A VOICEMAIL AND EMAIL FROM PEAPACK AND DECIDED TO CHECK THEM OUT BEFORE MAYBE GIVING IT ONE LAST FINAL ATTEMPT TO HOPEFULLY NOT HAVE TO DO ALL THIS MYSELF AND NOT BREAK MY BUDGET AT THE SAME TIME. THEY DID A ROOM BY ROOM INVENTORY, VERY DETAILED, NOTHING LIKE THE OTHER COMPANIES I HAD SPOKEN TO IN THE PAST FEW DAYS WHICH MADE ME FEEL MORE AT EASE, AND BECAUSE MY FATHER WAS A VETERAN SAVED ME LIKE 1200.00 AS WELL! CAME IN ONLY ABOUT $300.00 MORE THAN I WANTED TO PAY BUT FOR PIECE OF MIND I DID NOT MIND IT. I RECEIVED MY THINGS THE DAY AFTER I ARRIVED, EVERYTHING WAS THERE NOTHING WAS DAMAGED,MOVERS SET EVERYTHING UP ROOM BY ROOM ALL THE BEDS AND FURNITURE JUST AS IT WAS BEFORE THEY TOOK IT ALL APART FOR ME WHEN THEY PICKED ME UP. THIS WAS A TRULY AMAZING TEAM OF PEOPLE AT PEAPACK AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS FAMILY. DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WANTS A SEAMLESS AS POSSIBLE MOVE!

    Very happy with PeaPack. It's refreshing to do business with a company that does not try to get more money from you later. I was told my price is my price and that's what happened.. I had the guys professionally pack a few boxes when they got here. I paid a little extra for that, but I understood that coming in and it was worth it. Professional and timely I would definitely recommend PeaPack to others.

    Extremely pleased with the service I was provided. John spent alot of time with me the few weeks leading up to actually making my official reservation. He was very detailed and thorough and it made the move go very smooth. Jesse and Paul did an amazing job with the extra packing that I hired them to do. I just hired them again to move my daughter home from college. Thank you peapack!
