    On my move day, the packing services for our kitchen and breakable/fragile items were excellent. Great results! Extremely conscientious crew- took great care in moving items, caring for surrounding walls, etc., also, the estimate process was great, and Ricardo was quick to respond and easy to understand. They are far better than their competitors. Highly recommend them!

    The movers were Clean, efficient during the move. These guys moved our entire 4 story townhome to a 2 story 30 minutes away in 10 hours. (4 packing, 6 moving) The young men were polite, competent, and energetic without cutting too many corners. Highly recommend it.

    Thomas, and Daniel were fantastic! They were punctual, professional, and efficient. They handled the move carefully and made the transition to a new home easy. I don’t know when I will use them next, but I definitely won’t stop recommending them!

  11. Overall bad experience in all aspects of our move

    We recently worked with Pinnacle Van Lines who subcontracted with Unlimited Moving and Storage to move us across the country. In our opinion, this company was very unprofessional and handled the move quite poorly. The experience has been extremely negative. We moved a full house with this company.

    The day the truck arrived at our new home, the movers came to our door and told us that we were required to pay them in full for the delivery before they’d open the truck with our items. We were baffled that they would demand this money before we were able to see that our things were in fact inside the truck. We called the supervisor at the moving company, who also told us that he wouldn’t let his movers unload the truck if we didn’t pay up front first.

    When the movers opened the truck, it appeared that three-quarters of the boxes were damaged or broken. The movers unloaded the boxes in the parking lot in front of our building, and we could clearly see that most of the boxes were very damaged. Many of our items had fallen out of the boxes, so the movers quickly tried to cover this by throwing fallen items back in the box and taping the boxes up. I documented this as it was happening. When I asked why the items were in this condition, the movers replied that they had to “cram” our things in because their company didn’t give them the correct sized truck for our move.

    When they took our items up to our home, we quickly realized many items were missing. The movers claimed this was the full delivery, even though we insisted that many things were missing. The driver of the moving truck kept demanding we sign the form stating that we had received full delivery but we refused to sign. Finally, the driver checked the system at our insistence and discovered that 20 items/boxes were delivered to another city and left in a warehouse. The movers claimed they’d track it down and bring it within 24 hours.

    The same day, the movers called and claimed they had located the missing items in another city, and they would deliver the lost items. But then they began sending text messages saying that they would not surrender the missing items to us unless we paid the full delivery cost to them again. We informed them we had already paid in full for the delivery, that the full contractual amount was satisfied, and we had proof of our payment to them. The movers did not come that day. The movers called, said we must pay the exact amount we already paid them for full delivery or they would not surrender the missing items to us. They sent a text message insisting on the same and demanding money. Again, we explained we had already paid in full, we had satisfied our contractual obligations, and we had proof of full payment. We couldn’t believe that the movers were attempting to blackmail us for items they had lost and left in another city.

    Ultimately, we called the supervisor and said that their movers were refusing to surrender our boxes and items to us and were demanding additional payments they weren’t entitled to receive. We assume that the supervisor spoke with the movers, because they showed up later that day, brought our items and left.

    We looked through our things and realized at least five of the 20 boxes/items were still missing. Among our missing items was a large collection of expensive, handmade porcelain items, several of our wardrobe boxes which coincidentally had our most expensive clothing in it (including business suits, evening gowns, and the attire we’d worn to weddings, special occasions, etc.). Similarly, several pieces of our handmade teak furniture had been broken beyond repair.

    We have spoken with the supervisor of this company a number of times since then. We discussed compensation and said we had documentation of exactly what was lost. The supervisor insisted that he’d compensate us for exactly what was lost and for such an awful experience with the movers. However, after three phone calls like this, the supervisor stopped speaking with us or answering our calls. We’ve filed insurance claims but haven’t received a response or follow up from them.

    We wanted to share this experience with others to ensure that people strongly consider using a different moving company and avoid using this one so they don’t suffer through the same experience that we did. Companies that lose and damage your items, attempt to blackmail you to return your missing items, and then avoid compensating you for the damaged and missing items shouldn’t be allowed to do business this way.

    Moving is always stressful, but they made the experience as painless as possible and were also extremely kind and, more importantly, very careful with our things. These guys came highly recommended by my realtor. She was so right! It went off without a hitch. I will recommend them to all in a heartbeat without any issue!

    Two guys arrived within the allocated time, had all the details of the job and items to be moved. Removed large, heavy furniture quickly and with care. Would recommend. Well done, Pinnacle Van Lines, another satisfied customer! Two thumbs up!

    They were excellent all the way through. Hinkle, and Joseph were my movers for pick up in IL. They were extra courteous, worked hard, and took great care of all of my stuff.     Pinnacle Van Lines exceeded my expectations. Mick, the main contact for Pinnacle Van Lines, was an excellent communicator and was there for me throughout the process. They were as professional and good as it gets. Pinnacle Van Lines truly deserve their name. I would absolutely use them again.
