  1. Avoid at All Costs.

They quoted us happy to get the business for a transatlantic move, but it was all downhill from there:
    1) on removal day the packers said we had plenty of room and shoed us away rather than stick around to make decisions about what should be left behind. A phone call to the office informed us that it was going to cost another £1000-1500 to take everything. With time and budget both against us, we left behind £1000 or so of furniture, but took export-wrapped camping chairs that had already been loaded.
    2) the following morning I had a call from our storage co to let me know that a trolley loaded with inventoried items (my guitar amps, etc) had been left around the corner from our lockup
    3) the fragile and expensive guitar amps were labelled 'to be crated' but they never were
    4) we were told they had to professionally repack crockery etc or it could be insured. They didn't repack and we're now being short-changed by the insurers on the Cornishware that got smashed as a result
    5) they got our business partly because we would be completing another part load and would make a sailing the following week. This turned out to be utter nonsense.
    6) NEVER AGAIN.

  2. Pay another company a bit extra for more honest and faster service.

Our goods from London (8 boxes and a suitcase) were picked up from London on 16 October 2016 but not delivered but over three months later to Queensland in Australia on 19 January 2017.

During that time I exchanged a large number of emails with the company, including its managing director. His responses were always worded slickly and professionally but I felt that the service was neither honest or transparent.

    The key issues were:

    - Dishonesty regarding pricing of the boxes. I was initially quoted one price for 40 cubic feet, which included eight of my boxes plus one extra box. These were picked up and checked by Relo UK. It wasn't until another week after when they said that they wouldn't load my shipment unless I paid for the extra box (a suitcase which was smaller than the other boxes). They tried to say that adding the suitcase brought the total volume to 40 cubic feet (the managing director said that he had 'personally checked') but this would have been impossible given that the suitcase was about half the size of each of the boxes.

    - Lack of transparency regarding an amount of $125 which they oncharged to me from their Australian contractor (Conroy Removals). This amount had quoted to Relo UK by Conroy Removal before I accepted their quote, but it wasn't until after two months of my goods leaving London that Relo UK surprised me by telling me I had to pay this to the Australian subcontractors, trying to say that they were 'mandatory DAFF (quarantine) charges' and therefore excluded under our contract. In fact, after liaising with Conroy Removals, it was clear that these were not quarantine changes but also included Conroy's own administrative fees. Therefore, I ended up having to pay an extra amount to Conroy on behalf of Relo UK to fulfil its own commercial contractual agreement with Conroy.

For both of these issues I was forced to pay the extra amounts because I did not want to cause any delay to my shipment to Australia.

I would not use Relo UK again - in the future I would use a more reputable company which provided upfront, clear information about the total cost to the customer to avoid any surprise charges.

  3. Piano.

    Warning
DO NOT USE THIS CO your piano will not arrive at the destination in the same condition it leaves your Property.
We used Relo and our piano arrived badly damaged down one side, No screws on top of piano that lifts up and is now not in working condition. To top it all they are now trying to get out of paying any insurance as they are saying it isn't their fault! Not the only piece of furniture that has been damaged!
    terrible company ..

  4. Furniture arrived damaged.

We are very upset with this company. What started out as a good experience has now started to turn into a disaster. The furniture has turned up ruined and they are not helping us to claim on the insurance. They say it's our job not there's although we took out their insurance - very bizarre. They were quick to take our business but now there is a problem they are not helpful at all.
You would think they would want recommendations and more business but I don't think so.
Please read the small print in their contract about their insurance company they use as apparently they always use this line you are under insured! They didn't say that when we took the insurance they recommended!

  5. Good.

We used ReloUK to relocate our family to Spain - they were professional and treated us as valued customers. The experience from the quotation to the unpacking in our new home was brilliant.
We cannot fault them - if you are looking to relocate this is the company to use. Friendly, reliable and efficient. Their service was exceptional. I am not writing more so i'm copying and pasting to make up the numbers.

  6. Moving made easy with Relo UK.

Relo Uk is an amazing removals company and moves worldwide not just Europe as in the review options indicate. Had to put London to London but in actual fact we are moving from London to Port Eliabeth in South africa. Paul Hunter has been such a pleasure and went out of his way to help us and made this move easy and stress free for us.   Great value for money and quality service. Thanks so much for making this move from UK to SA so easy for us.   ** Highly recommend using ReloUK. **.

  7. Moved to USA.

We just want to say how pleased we are with the service we received from Relo UK in handling our recent move to New York. The quote we received wasn't the cheapest but the information we got from the salesman initially and continued high level of customer service which followed was excellant. Our belongings were packed by the guys with great care. We needed storage for a month while we sorted out visas etc which was not a problem. We are now happily settled here in our new life.

  8. Excellant Service and Communication.

ReloUK were recommended to me by a collegue for my move from Southampton to Malta. From the first enquiry they were so helpful and informative. They explained what they were offering, how the move would be handled and what would be required from myself. I chose to use ReloUK as their quotation was the most competitive taking into account what was included. I was able to speak to my move manager who kept me up to date with how the move was going from arranging the packing date through to shipping and eta updates as needed. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The professional and friendly service offered is priceless. The whole experience was stress free.  .

  9. Avoid ReloUK.

We paid ReloUK to move our personal possessions from London to Australia (including 'carefully export packing' our property).   When the shipment arrived we were horrified to find that framed family portraits had been packed in with 15kg hand weights, smashing them. Clothes had been rolled around metal coat hangers and dumped into unlined cartons. This caused damage to clothing including holes, permanent creasing and marking.   We advised ReloUK immediately and made an insurance claim however, they would only compensate us for the broken picture frames and not the damaged clothes or shoes as this was the result of ReloUK's poor packing not the actual shipping process. Simply the worst company we have ever dealt with.
