  1. Worse than poor.... RI to NJ

    Awful, dishonest, BS, do not use. Moved from RI to NJ.

    Charged for more cubic feet than actual because the moves and packers were not careful, many items were broken.

    Moving? Beware of overpriced reckless labor. I moved back in 2018 and had my belongings in storage locally so I just discovered the broken items. To late to do anything but write this warning.

    A rating of 1 is overly generous, wish I could file a legal claim.

  2. Titan Moving and Storage.

    Awful, dishonest, liars, do not use. Moved from CT to FL. More than 30 days late, over 30 percent of the items were missing, many items were broken. Charged for 1650 cubic feet at pick up, delivered only 900 cubic feet. Contacted better Business Bureau, they won't return or respond to their questions. A rating of one is generous, wish you could enter zero.

  3. Do Not Use! Liars! Scammers!

    So far.. We moved from Southern California to Northern Oregon. First, when they came to pick up, it ended up being an extra $1000 because the quote was bad. AND we left our sofa and loveseat. The guy, Jose, that picked up led me to believe that picking it up Saturday, a delivery by Monday or Tuesday would happen. He even suggested I write in special comments what I told him, "If coming Monday it has to be after 3:30p or Tuesday anytime". Called Tuesday, our belongings are still in a warehouse in CALIFORNIA and MIGHT get it to us next week. We only brought 2 days of clothes and we have no beds. When they stopped answering calls, the voicemail said "you may leave a voicemail for this 'text now' number". Text now! That's an app that catfish use. Watch the show. What are they hiding? I've now been in tears. We have irreplaceable family mementos. I pray they bring it next Monday or Tuesday, undamaged. I hope this review saves someone else. All we can do now is pray.

    Titan hasn't answered phones in two weeks of constant calling on different days and times. I have however contacted the following and encourage everyone that has been ripped off by them to do the same.

  5. Unreliable.

    DON'T BE MISLED ! LOOK AT THE ACCREDITION REVOCATION (DATED 9/25/18) AND THE DISTURBING "ALERT" RECENTLY POSTED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (BBB) REGARDING TITAN MOVING AND STORAGE OF CHANTILLY VA.
    We were planning a move from Shrewsbury MA to Sebastian FL using Titan Moving and Storage of Chantilly VA. Titan failed to show up on BOTH of the two pickup dates specified in our contract. On the morning after the second no-show (now only 48 hours from closing on the sale of our condo) we called Titan Customer Support to advise them of their failure to perform on both days, our intent to use a more reliable alternative than Titan, and to demand a full refund of our ($759) deposit based on Titan's breach of our contract. Titan did not provide any service but still had our deposit. After researching our complaint Delilah (in Customer Support) advised us that Titan would be issuing a full refund of our deposit. After. 30+ days received no refund. We subsequently called Customer Support to determine the status of our refund and were told (by Andrae?) that our refund would be issued when they (Titan) arrived at our case/file - after processing those ahead of us - and he could/would not advise when that might occur. Just how many people have claims against this company?

    We would NOT recommend this company.

  6. Move.

    The agent by phone walked my wife through the house to get an accurate list of furniture, however he did not complete an accurate and complete list of goods. He lowered the value to compete with other movers. He quoted a price of $8,599 including a vehicle. When the movers arrived they charged an additional $6,928.36 to move the furniture. The truck was not big enough so they came back four days later to pick up the additional items and charged $1,000 more.

    The above does not include the car except the total quoted by the agent. They never came for the car but they charged $250 deposit to pick-up and now they refuse to refund.

    They agreed to deliver the furniture on August 13, 2018. A partial delivery was made on September 1 and the remainder was received on September 20, 2018. Of course it was damaged and they damaged the home in the delivery.

    During this time we called constantly but received no calls back.

    The drivers and equipment used were sub-standard and did not warrant the charges.

  7. Ripoff Experts.

    These guys are an absolute ripoff.. the subcontractor which was Discount Interstate Moving Held my furniture ransom in the driveway after filling out a bogus invoice after a previously agreed upon quote.

    Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these scammers! The actual movers they hire are non licensed individuals off of craigslist and the driver probably came from the same place.

    They weren't even able to pick up all of my furniture when they arrived and some of what arrived was damaged. Worst experience ever, just hire some help locally to load and unload or go full service with a trusted nationwide chain.

  8. Eventually got my stuff. But cost me alot!

    Initially checked reviews and they looked really positive. Sales person was great and responsive. Booked early for the discount. Ended up like so many other of these recent reviews. They didn't call me back when I was trying to update my inventory which I knew had changed because we booked early. When I finally got a hold of someone I was told the driver could update it. But then they showed up with too small a truck. Had to load it up and then leave to drop off the first half. Returned after a few hours and picked up the rest. They didn't finish until about 11:30 pm. They also banged up two freshly painted walls and didn't tell me. (When I called about that I was told I couldn't file a claim until after delivery) They nearly tripled the cost added on some packing fees as they had decided without asking to combine items into larger boxes they had brought. Also had to pay double fuel charges for two trips. I had to send it to storage because of a delay in my closing. I was told that I had 30 days of free storage. And anything over that would be charged for only the storage time I needed (pro-rated). When I was trying to schedule my delivery I had trouble getting a hold of them. Fortunately for me the person who originally called regarding the pickup had used his cell phone and I was able to call him. He told me he didn't do the delivery only the pick up. When trying to find out the storage charges I again had trouble getting a call back to get that amount. When I finally heard back That ended up way over what I was expecting and the first thing she told me was it wasn't prorated. Then late on a Friday I was told it might have to be wired to the storage facility before they could deliver it. So instead of a few hundred dollars it was going to be an additional $1600 on top of the crazy shipping costs. She also couldn't confirm delivery day. She told me that the date I provided wasn't necessarily the day it would arrive but they date I was first able to receive it. And that they would call the day before and confirm they were coming. We honestly began to believe it was not going to be delivered at all. I left multitudes of messages for a manager or supervisor to call me. Because my calls always seemed to go to a recording - I am sure I was being screened. I never heard back from a supervisor or manager. But the last message I told them I felt that they were holding my stuff hostage.. On the day of my expected delivery day (which wasn't) I was told I could pay for storage to the movers in person cash or postal money order (all final payments had to be made that way - except the middle which could be a check) . The next day around 2 pm I received a call from the original gent who was there to pick up my stuff- He said they were loading the trucks and would be arriving at 5 (that same day) -- they arrived around 5:30 pm. I asked them to put the furniture in the correct rooms and places, which they did. The boxes I said to just put in the garage and living room so we wouldn't be doing this all night long. They were here until nearly 11pm. Many of the boxes that said fragile or this side up were upside down and torn. I'm still unpacking and keeping a list of broken items on the unlikely event that I can actually file a claim for damages. It took several emails to get that form sent to me, We paid the ridiculous fees so we could get our stuff back. I tried calling again today to discuss the storage fees and initially someone answered. I heard "hello" and then they hung up. Upon immediately calling back I got their answering machine (again--still sure I'm being screened) Now in reviewing them today I see a lot of bad reviews that weren't there previously.

  9. SCAM by TItan Moving and Storage.

    Our property was picked on Saturday, July 14th, from Indiana to be delivered in Texas. Up till today, August 29th 2018, they have not delivered our properties. We were promised 5-7 business days, then 14 days, then 21 days, now they cannot find a truck nor a driver.

    They delayed coming to pick up our belongings because their truck broke down. Latter, they said driver was sick. All these happened after paying off-front payment of $2600. When they arrived to pick the properties, they increased the total cost from $7000 to $13000. After packing the belongings they collected from us another $3600.

    I have four kids, an 11 yr old, 7 yr, and twins. All of us are suffering without our belongings because of TITAN, the fraud, the scam company.

    On August 27th, I called and told them that I will report them to IN Attorney General Office, they told me to do whatever I want. They are not remorseful of their conduct.

  10. I got scammed too!

    My wife & I moved from Mount Vernon, IL to St. Louis. I had contacted Titan Moving Co to do the job. They got me for $5109. They did not move my family because I saw the news report on KSDK 5 channel in STL. Something just was not right, so I sent them away on the day of the moved. They would not give me much information about where they were going to store our stuff. They also only sent 4 guys when they said they would have 8. I have emails and a copy of the contract.

    They should be prospescuted.

  11. Criminals!! Do not use!!

    These people are scam artists. The positive reviews are fake. If you use them they either triple the price after your stuff is on the truck or never deliver your stuff. Do not use!!

    This is a scam. Look up their office in Google maps. They are not located there. There are no signs, no trucks.. it’s a small plumber office.

    Call the FBI is they scammed you too!

  12. Scam - Beware!!

    I never thought I'd be one of those people that fell for a scam, but unfortunately, I did. First of all, after my experience with Titan, I learned that NO reputable moving company asks for money up front, and the cash/ACH payment only policy is a huge red flag. I'm retired military and have not had to handle a move on my own before..I was told by "Brandon" (if that's his name) that the owner was retired Air Force, blah, blah, blah - long story short, I fell for it and hired them. Paid my 1/3 upfront for a San Diego to Atlanta move. Difficulty in communication seems to be a common theme for this company. My truck showed up on the right day, but 8 hours late. Before they loaded the truck (thank God it was before) the driver told me the cost would be 3 TIMES the original estimate. I sent the driver away, and am thankful I did. The research I did after leads me to believe that they would have either never delivered, or held my stuff ransom for even more money. This of course, left me in a huge jam. I HAD to be out of my place just 5 days later..and with a June move, it's VERY hard to find a last minute mover. I have to say, I called Zippy Shell and they were amazing and really got me out of my bind. So now, I am working on suing Titan through small claims court and am uncovering all sorts of shady info. First, they say they are located in Virginia, but according to the Secretary of State, the are not incorporated there. I also checked on their name, since they could be a dba.. nope. Still digging, and I will continue to pursue this. As a wrap up, from the day the truck left my house (6/10/18) until now, I have called numerous times without a single response. All of the positive reviews on here are fake - I just hope this doesn't happen to someone else.

  13. Scam!!

    SCAM!! Stay away from this company!! Everything about them is based on lies! They have some very convincing sales people, but that is where everything stops. Once you have paid your deposit you will NOT be able to get hold of anybody. Customer Service Department is non-existent. They lie about everything - they lie about their address, they lie about their trucks, they lie about their customer satisfaction rating (they claim 99%! It is more like 0%!). They give their address as Chantilly, VA. Lie! If you click on the map on their website, it takes you to the middle of nowhere in Ohio! Lie! They say they have 55 trucks they own, Lie! (Try 1!) They told me there are two other "Titan Moving" companies that have used their name and DOT number and caused all the bad reviews..Lie!
    They told me they have instituted legal action against these two companies for using their DOT number..Lie!
    There are hundreds of complaints against this company. DO NOT USE THEM unless you just feel like throwing money away. Please take note of all the negative reviews against these people. WORST COMPANY EVER!!

  14. Terrible moving company.

    I would not recommend this company to anyone. They always have truck troubles. Upcharges once they loaded my belongings of over $1000 dollars. Charged twice because condo moving out of had stairs. Was on original quote then charged for how many times they went up and down stairs. Six hours late for pick up. Spread belongings out in truck and not packed tight. Another up charge for extra square footage. They were 2 days late delivering belongings claiming truck broke down. Used Penske trucks for both pick up and delivery. Items arrived dirty and boxes clearly marked fragile were broken down. Demanded payment before they would unload. Items missing. I never expect items to be returned. Never returned calls when we were waiting original delivery date then wouldn’t say what day they would be coming. Never worked with such a disorganized company. Would never, ever use them again. Customers beware. The quote they give you, you will pay about double or more before your move is complete.

  15. Moving Scam.

    This company has no integrity. Will promise anything they think they need to to get your contract, and then will do whatever they want. Everything this company promised me was a lie. They charged me much more than originally quoted. My items were shipped with a private shipper not on a TITAN truck as promised. I was told $35% down on contract, 1/3 more at pick up and balance at delivery. I received a phone call a few days before picking up confirming the amount I would need in cash at pick up. After loading the truck I was told I owed 60% of the original balance. Which was substantially more than I expected. The contract the driver showed me, actually said the driver had the right to charge up to 70% of the balance even though I had already paid 35% down. Since my items were all on the truck and we were leaving in a couple of days I reluctantly coughed up the huge amount of extra money. The driver was kind enough to accept my check which he would cash as an electronic debit assuring his funds.
    They did get my funds to my new home quickly but when they called to arrange delivery, I was asked about steps. I told them I had only one flight of steps and that I was promised my first flight would be free so no extra charge. The gentlemen on the other end of the phone, said every time the guys walk up the steps, it is considered one flight. So my one free flight was when the guy brought up the paperwork. He also determined that my one flight was actually two and the cost for stairs was $70 flight. Therefore, every time one of the guys walked up the steps it would cost me $140 which I needed to pay the guys in cash before they would deliver my goods.
    I said, this will cost thousands of dollars extra. I don't have the money and my stuff isn't worth that much. At that point, the customer representative said they have some flexibility in working with customers on stairs and finally agreed to deliver my goods for an additional $300 over the balance due. Our bed frame and a couple of other items were not delivered and we do not know the outcome of that yet. All in all, this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I would say look elsewhere for your moving needs.
