Low life assholes
This evil human being sent me a text saying "fuck u" after I chose to hang up and not listen to his sales pitch and when he called back, I ignored the call. I sent a retort to his text and he stated that he "hoped my children get cancer". I will never do business with a company who hires and maintains such a horrible, lowdown and unprofessional person. Worst person ever!
They Scam and Lie and won’t return your money
This company is run by nothing by scammers and liars from the beginning to the end. It started off with me calling Glen for a quote. He promised me that my furniture would be delivered by the 14th of August. He assured me that they would have it picked up and delivered by the 14th and that they wouldn’t raise any prices on me. He also promised to match any quotes I got and beat them by 10%. When I brought quotes, he refused to match them and than he wouldn’t cancel my deposit. I than thought they would at least still deliver my furniture on time, but just 2 days before the move they can no longer guarantee the move that they promised me and now they refuse to refund my deposit. Pure scammers. Don’t ever use them.
It's a scam stay away!!
I should have trusted the reviews on BBB and Facebook. The broker would scam you to sign the deal on the phone. Their estimate would be much lower because the volume doesn't reflect your inventory. Once the movers come to pick up the item, that's where the "fun" begins. In my case, the guy asked for 2K+ and refused to move till have an agreement. After an 75 minutes "talk", I asked to stick to the plan and willing to leave things behind. Of course, they tried to fill the space with the least important items first even though you gave clear instructions. The broker who promised to see through the process for you, of course, no where to be found. I am a victim and I hope you won't become one. The best thing you can do is to politely hang up the call with the broker and say you would consider. Don't feel pressured to make a call right away. I am truly regretful on my decision to hire TCM.
Where to begin
Booked Top Country movers for a cross country move 3 weeks ago. I was told it was a “last minute” move (I get it, logistics are crazy these days) and quoted $4300 for 35 boxes and about 10 miscellaneous items. Final inventory check last week and estimate went up to $6500 (understandable as I had a couple extra items, but yikes). Pickup confirmed for 8/8 or 8/9. Called 8/7 to ask which day it would be and they confirmed 8/9.
Had our whole house packed up perfectly even though part of my wrath was movers packing and loading all my belongings. 8/9 and I call to ask for a timeframe. They call back after 4 calls to them and an email inquiry that the truck had a “mechanical issue” and that they were cancelling my move.
Stay far away. The rates quoted seem too good to be true and clearly they don’t know what they’re doing. Now instead of a road trip with my wife and pets we’re having to rent a UHaul last minute and do everything ourselves. Absolutely astonishing. Zero problem solving ability. Might as well be a scam.
Not to be trusted
Based on comparisons of my experience and the many negative reviews by other dissatisfied clients I am sure that by canceling this job I have avoided a greater loss than the $2000 deposit that I made. This company needs to be shut down and the individuals held responsible for the damage and loss regularly caused to unsuspecting victims. Stories told by others begin similarly to my experience with a pressured sales pitch full of promises of professionalism, timeliness, and trustworthiness but end with loss of property, exorbitant additional costs, and a web of entities refusing responsibility. This is a criminal operation that steals money and causes loss of valuable belongings of unsuspecting individuals. They need to be shut down and held responsible for their illegal actions.
Horrible
I didn’t even use the company I have give them this rating. After speaking to Jonathan M for over an hour I decided to go with them BUT I refused to leave a deposit at that time. Jonathan seemed to be a rafts talker so I wanted to do my homework on the company. After reading the horrible reviews and checking DOT, spacer and BBB I decided not to go with them. Jonathan in turns harasses me via text telling me if he would have know he would not have wasted his time on me. I reminded him that I was at work and could not call and curse him out for being such an unprofessional idiot but if he text me again I will. No more text after that!!! DO NOT USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY
Save your money
The assigned me an incredibly shady company called Cheetah moving. It felt like a drug deal. Schedule was completely butchered. estimated 3,500 after seeing all of my stuff and then when the new crooks arrived they hit me with a rude attitude and a 6,500. NEVER use this company. Customer service was absolute garbage. They returned no phone calls and I had to call keep calling to know what was going on. Very unprofessional, They will demand you pay cash like crooks. They do not care about your time so do not waste it with them. Save your money, rent the truck and drive it yourself. I could have moved all of my things and went on vacation twice.
Amazing Mover
Top Country Moving offered a competitive price with excellent service. The Johnny team turned up exactly on time. They dismantled and packed furniture very carefully. They loaded the van carefully and strapped everything, so it was safe. Delivery in WA was precisely on time and well-executed. Thanks, guys, for the help! Many thanks for their support and hard work.

While other moving companies responded with an automatic quote for an hourly rate and tried to rush into booking, Top country moving explained the details of moving insurance and helped me navigate the tradeoffs between them and a specialty/commercial mover. Zero stars
Any reviews you read "highly recommending" this company are flat out lies or fake reviews. This company is part of a scam where they low ball your bid and accept a deposit. They then farm you out to actual moving companies who then come in and tell you that you will have to pay thousands more for them to move you. They get you over a barrel and many have no choice but to pay it- they need their home moved!! My mistake in not looking for reviews. Facebook is full of horror stories of this company screwing people over! Avoid them and others like this like the plague!!! (yes, there are more!! We had two companies in three days time do the bait and switch on us). MY advice, search your local companies or rent a truck yourself. Cheaper by far ad you are in control of your own belongings. I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night.

Excellent customer service. Hard working and courteous. They wrap everything and pack it on the truck so it does not get damaged. Very friendly and willing to help setup furniture at destination.

Top country moving crews were awesome. Ended up being a long day with all the stairs for three locations, but they had great energy, were friendly and very efficient and extra helpful. Really enjoyed working with them. They did a great job packing up my kitchen. Thank you thank you, thank you!!!

Worst Moving Company
This is a scam company. They have no accountability, feel no remorse, and cannot give any semblance of professionalism. They were days upon days late to pick up my items, well beyond the quoted pick up window, and added $300 to my quote upon arrival though I was told repeatedly that my items were overestimated for, just in case. After my items were picked up, I got another call from "quality assurance to make sure everything is accurate before the movers arrived." Mind you, I already had this conversation nearly 2 weeks prior and my items were already picked up. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing and will just nickel and dime you for every little thing. While trying to organize the pick-up, unless I called within business hours, I did not speak to anyone. I left several messages to no response and had to follow-up repeatedly and was met with exasperation, gaslighting, and what would err on the side of victim blaming. If I could go back in time to stop myself from hiring this company, I would. They do not deserve your time or your money. Stay away.
